I have a dream...........the dream is to see Joe playing at ozzfest. When I was at ozzfest this last year in Wisconsin at the main stage advertisements were playing in the big screen. There was an ad of Ibanez guitars and they showed Joe playing. You should have heard the crowd cheer. It was magnificent. They had other ibanez ads which had other players like Noodles and else on. But Joe's was the greatest. It was euphoric!

jazzy boy ......and I feel sorry for Joe and Steve that Yngwie
had to shred his brains off during Little Wing.
Little Wing, whoever in the world thinks of shredding during
little wing needs his balls shoved down his throat.
i think ol YJM jammed out and did a great job. now if you were talking about verbal diareah you should have your balls shoved down your own throat!!!! quit running your mouth you little disrespectful punk!!!! i am real tired of your B.S. !!!!!!!. grow up ..

yngwie is brillant, yea so what he plays neo classical rock, but it's kick ass to hear beathoven in 1000 bmp going 2000 mph and lasting for 6 mintues. i appreciate all guitarists for their skills and i wish i could be them. i don't say their rubbish coz i don't like the style, i say their brillant for their skills and how they rock! i hope u can see this too. even if ure not into neo classical rock, i hope u see the skillful side of it.
take care, peace out and JOES ROCKS! SO DOES VAI AND YNGWIE.

oooooooohhhhhhhh sorry dude.

anyway DCK and Jazzy don't start some crap again. it's really bothersome to read through 7 pages of "shut up you F***er" "you @**HOLE!" and that sort. Just leave it at the fact that Jazzy says Yngwie overdid it but DCK found it good.

Jazzy Boy- Agreed (totally)

For anyone who is a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan check out the website www.srvrocks.com/mp3s.htm for live concerts and mp3s of the man. Some low quality, others good, changes every 2 weeks or so.

IMO Yngwie is extremely talented. He plays very skillfully. But he seems to shred off one, two, maybe three scales. however he makes those three scales sound very good! My favorite of his is an instrumental called eclipse. it also seems to be based on one single scale but he does move around horizontally on the fretboard. another is Trilogy op. 5 blah blah (I don't remember the name). it moves on the fretboard is played fast and includes some very heavy stuff. yet at the same time he takes a very well known Beethoven lead and plays parts of it on a heavily distorted guitar. He is a very good guitarist in my mind and wlll continue to be such.

wow that was a long post for me! later guys more Battle Of The Bulge. I have a cool story to ask Clarky about later.

Hey Clarky my father told me a story on the Battle Of The Bulge today. He said that there was this little private in the army. He was a Mexican and during this battle he he captured or killed several Germans and when they had beaten the Germans the Commander asked to see who it was that had beaten his army so badly. They brought in the guy and the commander was like" This can't be him!(Them!)" Then the Mexican dude said"Kicked your a** eh?" it was really funny to hear about. have you heard about it or know anyhting of it? the guy left the military right after the war though.

edit: crap keep forgetting the "e" on Battle

My guitar instructor has been teaching me Eric Johnson techniques lately. We learnt Manhattan yesterday and today cliffs of Dover. Next weekend it is Joe's crushing day and circles. Before we start playing we have an ambulance out waiting for me in case anything goes wrong. No Really, I am not joking :-)

Hey. My first post on Satriani.com!

Anyways, I've been a member for ages but I've just finished booking my tickets for G3 in London in June! I'm frighteningly excited about it cause I've been a fan for so long and it'll be my first time seeing Joe.

Anyways, Joe, if you're reading this I've got one request. PLEASE play Love Thing! Seriously, I'm flying over from Ireland to see you and if you played that it'd make my night. Not sure how many songs you actually play at a G3 gig but if it isn't that many, try and slip it in!

Thanks, keep up the good work and maybe I'll see you whilst I'm trying to weasel my way backstage! Dave

Dominated? anyway I can't find an instructor so I teach myself. I tab something, and if I can't figure it out, I look somewhere else. No theory, no scales, none of that. Like Joe I play my emotions on guitar. Even though I may not always sound good I put my very essence, all of me, into every note I play. Like Clarky says"play every note like it was your last..."

Neil, LOL! That could have been crazy Uncle Charlie! Glad you didn't open the door! lol! I know there are 2 young boys and a wife, so if you seen them, it had to be Uncle Charlie...unless...there's someone else! LOL! j/k I don't know why, but I'm really glad you & Clarky finally got together. You two have been trying for ages.

JOE, will you be letting fans win backstage passes for the European part of the tour?
