Oh Joeman9, you crack me up! You really do! Worshipping a chair......I am talking about other religions not furniture . When I said you won, it meant nothing at all. That was the humor.

Phew, finally strapped the axe back on after almost six weeks!! Damaged the tendons on my fretting hand badly skiing. Everytime it would start to heal I would reinjure it doing something stupid (like carrying those damn plastic grocery bags for instance!!!). It was the tendon on top of the hand off the index finger, man did it hurt. Anyway decided to retry and learn a song I been after since I first heard it in the early eighties. Song by Larry Carlton called "Point it Up". The guy was a monster in the 70ies. I tried , I died, he is too damn good for me. Anyway if you wanna hear a lot of where Steve Lukather comes from, check out that tune by Mr. 335....

Oh hehe. anyway it still means like trying to put something first in your life instead of God. I am not putting down other religions by saying this, I am saying the way we worship, and follow our God's commands.
Anyway I'm partially done with my project. Got some pics printed, got alittle written down, finished my radio wave poster... I'm beat.

Let's change the general topic please.... Now that Van Hagar seems unfortunately( imho ) to be "fait accompli", who do you think they should have got for vocals/second guitar?? Shogun and I have jokingly said Richie Kotzen although realistically that will never happen, I think both Ed's and Richies egos would not allow such a pairing. I been giving it some thought, and I have come up with Dave Meniketti. Dave is the right age, and his guitar tone & style (Les Paul blues rock based) are in counterpoint to Eddies. I also like the "grit" in his voice better than Sammy's. If you had a choice, other of course than Dave or Sammy, who'd you pick???
The latest rumours of course are that the boys will pump out another "Greatest Hits " package throw on a coupla new tunes and tour it!!!

Okay, so now I'm the "Defender of Fairy Penguins" (the little cute ones). I still don't whack the other penguins though.
O-vai-tion: someone's gotta do it...the poor little things.
Joeman: settle down on the sugary foods...no need to post 10 messages a minute! Save other people wading through endless pages every time they come here.
Death Cube K: "David Covertune" hahaha
Jazzy Jason: (not that it's an issue...just letting you know if you didn't already) you don't need underscores for T2J nicknames anymore.
Long weekend...down the drain. I'm still tired, and it's raining again. Boohoo.
edit typical. Defender of Fairy Penguins doesn't fit...

Joeman: haha you did it again naughty boy!
Heard a song last night I hadn't heard for years:
Lump sat alone in a boggy marsh
Totally motionless except for her heart
Mud flowed up into Lump's pyjamas
She totally confused all the passing piranhas
She's Lump, she's Lump
She's in my head
She's Lump, she's Lump, she's Lump
She might be dead ...
Oh dear. Remember those days?

Did anyone see the Sam and Dave tour. If so, did Dave play "Shyboy" or "Ladies NIght In Buffalo?". If so, I'm wondering how the guitarist did. I would have loved to have seen his guitarist and bassist pull off the "Vai/Sheehan double-team" on "Shyboy". That song kicks so much ass, especially on the Astoria DVD.

Ahh, so now I'm making numerous posts in a short period. Call me hypocritical.
re album covers, my favourites are NOTE (the original), Time Machine, Engines of Creation and LISF. I'd like to see something along the lines of the black SBM theme...with some cool multi-coloured galaxies...

Hmm that gives me an idea: Webmaster (Jon) is it possible we could have a list of logged-in members like they do on the Vai message boards? Otherwise there's no real way to tell who is here or not.
(Also considering some of us have restrictions preventing the use of the chat room...)
Anyone agree/disagree with this thought?
