Joe just caught the new G3 DVD, amazing !

I heard Paul Gilbert was once a special guest in LA. But now that you have done a show with Petrucci (was there no dvd release of this?), Malmsteen how bout a full show with Gilbert !

That would be a G3 show !

Duh!!!!!!!!

I was wondering why only Yngwie responded to the question I asked in MSN chat. Then I found out Joe has to use his new signature amp the JSX live. So he could not respond to my question. It was like being under a gag order. I am sure Joe would have given a very good positive responce for his years of using Marshall amps live, but couldn't because of the JSX deal. I am not sure why Steve didn't give a responce. Does anyone know if he has a simular deal in the future with his on signature amp?

I am also curious to see how long Joe will continue to use the JSX live in the future. It seems it would be very hard to change from your main amps after all the years of use, to another, and be completely satisfied with the sound. I guess it is possible. My thinking is, some time in the future Joe will go back to the Marshalls live. This is just speculation own my part though.

Yngwie seemed to believe there isn't another amp. His reply was, he would rather pay for a Marshall than to get any other amp for free.

Question forJoe: will the JSX amp from the factory have the same modifications that you sent yours back to have? I guess what I am simply asking is, will the factory amps that will be avalible in the retail music outlets, be exact absolute 100% copies of the one you have, or do the ones you have, have specific modifications? Don't mean to put you on the spot, I am just curious, because I am in the market for a half-stack. As of now I am leaning heavily towards the ModeFour.

Dear Joe, Words can be like acid. Certian acids cause immediate pain and damage. Others take a while but they eat at you and sometimes that can be worse. I am watching the G3 dvd right now and thinking of you and of some acid that was spilled here recently. Joe, don't ever stop playing Satch Boogie. I for one would be lost if I didn't hear you play it live. If you played a two song concert that should be one of them. I hope this can wash away some of that acid. Thank you Joe for sharing your soul with us on every album. How selfless of you. Regards, Rich.

well friday went out for dinner & drinks. had a great rib eye steak with garlic mashed, and broccoli, nice bread, yummmm....then played some dice after at my cousins. saturday went shopping, got some new nose rings, not too sure about them, maybe too big, but they're cute, some new cover-up, had lunch at Bertuccis at the bar by myself, but that was nice, took a nice nap, then went to my cousins again for Chinese food, played the new Trivial Pursuit DVD game, that was kind of fun. then yesterday cleaned the house, checked out that house we were thinking of renting, changed our minds on it, did a pedicure & manicure on my girlfriend, cooked a nice chicken dinner with stuffing corn potato and gravy, and black bottom chocolate chip cheesecake for dessert, and watched my Sunday shows American Dreams & Alias, and went to bed. Nothing too exciting. Sounds like all I do is eat? I eat alot of healthy stuff during the week do sometimes go overboard on the weekends. All I eat is chicken, veggies, protein bars, and water all week, yuck!

steve uses carvin legacy amps (his own custom amp) and has been doing so for a while. i've never seen him using marshalls. as for joe, his marshalls just kinda stopped working the way he wanted them to, and marshall wasn't willing to fix them.

the peavey's fix the problems he wanted fixed and then some. they are production models.

Oh man, things happen pretty fast here on this site (I wonder if I'm too old for this kind of Speed of Light) ;)

michelle: thank you for the hint of those pictures from Joe's 2000-tour -> yes it actually was his birtday July 15th. I checked the (wrong) date yesterday from a C-cassette which I taped for a moodraiser for the trip from our hometown to Pori, where the gig was. I made that tape months before and the gig-date changed later.

Have to go, cause my beautiful wife needs PC for working now.

P.S. sure hope (as a rookie on this site) there won't be many hostile debates going on when I come back next time. Peace, people... (and my profession is a warrant officer)! ...go listen some nice music...

Ben E, leave it to Weird Al make make a better song than the original. lol!

Julie, you WILL get your G3 DVD today! I don't understand why it took so long. I'll be checking my mail for the signed cd booklet. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you today :)

Tastey, nuthin' but nuts in the nutshell. lol!

Neil, it's o.k., we'll keep it a secret. It's when Uncle Charlie is dead and bloated and wrapped in 2 plastic bags inside a duffle bag and put in the closet that we have to tell others.

Mikey, LOL! That song popped in my head, and I couldn't figure out where I heard it. Now I remember - it's on Aerosmith's new cd - HONKIN' ON BOBO! lmao! Great name, huh? lol! I heard it on the radio, then I listened to some clips online and they gave me goosebumps. That's gonna be a kickass cd! Got a new Toshiba flatscreen t.v. yesterday, so I was checking out G3 & SV on DVD. lol! The pisser is, we recently bought a new entertainment center to fit the t.v. we had, which was a 27". We saw some pretty sweet 32" sets, but they wouldn't fit in the e. center, so we had to stick with the 27". Total pisser too man. Some of those bigger sets didn't cost much more than the one we got. We didn't think our older t.v. (a JVC) would take a dump this soon. It's only about 5 years old. Who knew?

michelle: haha, HONKIN' ON BOBO, lol, where did they think of that one!! :-0.... Glad to hear Aerosmith is still kicking ass!!!!....

btw, congrats on the flat screen!!.... They RULE!!.... Your better off with a 27 cause the picture will be clearer due to the lines of resolution.... The bigger the t.v. the worse the picture.... Toshiba and Hitachi are #1 in t.v. IMO, and it should last you guys for a lifetime.... Now you can really get into LISF, G3 and LATA girl!!!! :-)....

....Nite all....ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz ;-)
