Joe, next G3 tour, definately leave yngwie out, fast guitar players and good guitar players are two different things, besides you and steve made the poor guy look like a complete idiot in pittsburg, Eric Johnson is a much better guitarist to have on a gig like that... later

Yay, I just bought my G3 ticket for Nottingham!

rockguitarist911 You'll be pleased to know that on the 2004 G3 tour, they aren't taking Yngwie, they are taking Robert Fripp.

richiemunk You can buy G3 tickets for the Royal Albert Hall right now at http://www.wayahead.com

joeman - me? do your school work... haha... in life.. there is shit that you need to do for yourself.. or it's not worth doing...

read... you must learn for yourself.. knowledge does not come without great effort..

ome - sorry but the numbers don't mean a great dear unless I know what strings...
michelle - my lil' 'un is behaving now... so I took him down.. lol..

and I didn't think my soccer post was funny... purely informative..

Yoda - nice one... I'm glad we finally got it on.. loads of fun.. and a good ol' tear up too...

very cool... your playing has come on a great deal...

cry inside.... why??????

did you get to listen to the album a little more??

slansh - greko-roman is traditional wrestling... and the Russians are very big on it... seriously.. these guys are dangerous...
shogun - I studied martial arts to learn how to be a tough guy.... only to learn how weak I am...

it also taught me lessons applicable beyond the physical.. it taught me discipline and taught me of 'an approach' to life..

I went to the dojo with the wrong intentions... and left with all the right answers...

eta - I'm not so experienced in the arts... I studied a few for a few years... but nothing came close to the training methods of Goju for me... but like I said before.. it was a very special Sensei and Dojo..

Just read this month's Guitar Player article w/ Joe on the cover. Very good interview, can't wait to hear the new material. I liked how you took us thru each song.

Mari, you're offering me a free ticket?! wow! that's very generous indeed, thanks! I would like to provisionally say "yes please!!" but it does depend on what else is going on at the time. That would be great tho....you're too kind!

Well, if I do get to meet up with you I can give you 9 bucks! hehe, that's what I had left over after my trip to california the other week! haha, 9 dollars....wow!

Alexandre, yeah G3 in Europe is really exciting! I can't wait either! did you say you'll catch the show in Barcelona? My girlfriend has just come back from Barcelona, and she showed me a load of pictures of the Gaudi architecture....it's amazing, I want to go there! regards to you too amigo!
The Faring Gnome, Joe was developing the new amp with Peavey during the tour so that's why it may appear to be a little different from the marketed JSX!
mischievous, thanks for your agreement on my request! how nice! and also thanks for you vote for The Forgotten (Part 2) For G3!
UF Dean/alexandre, It was GA60? Thanks guys, I was trying to remember that!
OCPS470, you were going for a tone cross between Joe's and EJ's?! Haha, funny thing....me too! Well, mine includes a bit of Vai too. I also like Nuno's tone for something alternative and really filthy!
Punkdude, yeah Six Degrees is a cracking album! "The Glass Prison" rocks!
Time Machine and Engines Of Creation have cool covers......I love the Wireframe of the JS1000 in the Engines' cover!
I Sinatra, I don't bother to log out when I leave, i'm permanently logged in (I only visit from my home PC), so the BB2-style user-logging system like on Vai's messageboard, might not be entirely accurate here.
Michelle, and it all becomes crystal clear. The friday show, the night I went, Steve had trouble with the laser gloves falling off and he definitely played Bad Horsie with the mirror-top Jem. Which must mean on Thursday night, he used a white one (Evo or something) so he took some frames from the Thursday reel and spliced them in with the Friday reel. I wonder if he used Friday for the bulk of the show?! if so, I might be on there! hehe. Also it means there will be an edit where he cut out the thing he said about Jimi Hendrix and Britney Spears!
Olly, yeah the Eddie Izzard show was in the Windsor Hall. I have seats CC63-CC71 and I just ordered 2 more - BB16 and BB17! Bit of an arse that they are so far apart. yeah I'm bringing most of the family plus loads of my mates! hehe, they WILL pay me back for it! that's £321-worth of tickets now!

Geeze, it is HOTTT here today...

alexandrEcaetano - You've never seen Steve Morse live before? He'll blow you away! :-)

Thanks for that Steve Vai interview, by the way...

HunterXI - All you have to do is lower the action on your guitar.
Shogun Vai - You can thank the one and only Steven Tyler for that wonderful title...hehe.
Rockguitarist911 - I don't think EJ will ever do G3 again...
962 - Steve jokes about the Britney Spears edit on the DVD's commentary track. :-)
juju808 / mick87 - Have fun watching your respective DVDs!

...Austin...

Simon, the part with Jimi & Brtiney are on the DVD! lol! He shows a bit of the audience, especially a pretty girl in the fron row. He edited under her U.R.A.Q.T. - esentially telling her 'you are a cutie'. Let us know if you see yourself when you get the DVD so we can check it out.

Noppa, hostile debates on this site come and go. There are two rules. Ignore the ignorant, and don't feed the TROLLS! :-)

Mikey, the info on the t.v. makes me feel a bit better. There was only one bigger t.v. that I saw that had a killer picture, but it was huge, and so was the pricetag. Aerosmith's new cd is coming out March 30th. It's a blues remake cd I believe. Funny Austin hasn't mentioned it yet. Maybe I missed it if he did?

Clarky, yes, your soccer post was very informative - and funny as hell. lol!

WOOHOO! So glad you guys got your DVD's today!! You're gonna love 'em! I didn't get my cd booklet yet, but it should be here one of these days.

Hey you all, I am buying a brand new Mesa Boogie Nomad 55 today. I pick it up at 5:30 this evening. Can't wait man! I have learned to play a few Joe songs so a Joe song will be the first song I play on it.

Are you talking about Malmsteen's "Faster than the Speed of Light"? That is an palmmuted E on the thrashing part. If that is the song you are talking about.

To mikesb...No sir, I have not seen Brett Garsed, but have an album called "Uncle Moe's Space Ranch" with Garsed, Scott Kinsey, Ty Himmelrich(sp?), Dennis Chambers, and Garry Willis that ripped my head off, as Mike Keneally would say. Check out Scott McGill"s "Hand Farm" for some sickeningly Holdsworth-esque little ditties.

And you're right about Austin...I saw Eric Johnson at Antone's last month for a measley ten bucks. I guess I can't have everything, eh?

Thanks for the post.
