Joe, I reckon it'd be a great idea to film your G3 tour with Robert Fripp here in Scotland at the Glasgow SECC. I will come up with a reason why later... hehe.

Bil/Miranda- glad to see that you are doing well... also very glad to see that you have kept your sense of humor about the whole thing... Just so you know, all in Satchland are doing their own version of the 'happy dance' just knowing that you are doing better... give each other a hug and a kiss!

Greyfox88 - ALL of Stu Hamm's songs are good. Listen to everything...haha.

juju808 - You had your teeth pulled on Thursday, right? If you keep ice on your mouth today the swelling should hopefully be completely gone by tomorrowish...
bitoma - Keep checking the road page...updates will be posted by the webmaster when they're received.
Greyfox88 / weonlywonfiveone - I doubt Joe will film one of the European shows.

Hey everyone. Just picked up g3 live in denver (15 bucks at walmart). It's a great dvd, but the fretcam has not shown itself to me. I've tried to get it to work on four different dvd players now, including a computer dvd, to no avail. I'd love to see what it's all about. I've turned the feature on, and the little fretboard symbol appears when it's supposed to, but when I hit the angle button, I get nothing. Am I missing something?

y not? after all it's a g3 show, you can't always film in usa, give uk some credit man. i mean u can't have 'live in usa' for everysingle dvd they make. i reckon they should make a dvd were they put in a concert from each country they performed in, and show the audience reactions and everything. like a worldwide tour log dvd. basically a dvd about a whole tour and life during the tours. maybe we can spot jeff in his hotel room sorting the pillows in drum formation and starting to beat them with his drumming sticks. and joe trying to buy a guitar string from the shops while everyone is crowding around him. a dvd like this would be truly amazing. i'll buy it, i'm surem loads of peopel would. following joe satriani and steve vai on tour.

and it would also be a quite funny dvd, satriani seems a funny bloke and vai just made me laugh wen he made that bus turn around to look for that pick up in the bin. lol (sorry vai, i know u might of been angry with the fact he threw those pickups in the bin, but u have to admit, turning the whole bus around and gettting everyone to search for it in the bin is just hilarious) and looking at the pictures posted on the websites. u lot seem to be up to alot of funny stuff.
come on, make a dvd. on tour with the g3 crew. we want to know what it's like going on tour and what happens.

trutina - great post man!

i haven't been on here for a while due to my internet breaking and runnign out of money (i'm on 1p a minute atm). I just bought tickets for the Bournemouth gig, should be awesome! i'm in row C which should be pretty good, i'm just hoping 37 is *reasonably* central.

i'm highly doubting a dvd of this european tour, having had two vai outings lately and a dvd of the last tour... but I know a lot of people would buy it. This lineup is so intruiging- I can't wait to see what Fripp is like outside of King Crimson. But I imagine with these seating venues, and so much more subdued a third guitarist than any previous ones- i'm guessing it's all oging to take on a different feel from the vids/dvds i've seen.

Anyway, how much does the steve vai band rock on the g3 dvd? i'm the hell outta here is better than anything on the astoria dvd... even though the vai one is amazing.

Supadave- Envy? Not me, the guy is fantastic, and I can't wait to see him on G3. I'm sure each and every one of us is good at something that Steve vai can't do, it works both ways, so no jealousy at all, quite happy to be me!...... I'm just saying he does overstep the line every now and again, that triple neck thing was as much for show as it was anything else, just a little OTT and went on too long.

Supadave- None taken at all mate! Let me rephrase what I said, am I jealous of Steve Vai? Hell yes, we all are in the sense we wish we could do what he does, but I hope everyone is cool with who they are, that's all! It's a stupid instrument anyway ;-)

Joeman9.....he did'nt mean literally...it's just an expression of how frustrating guitar playing (on a learning level) can be. Take myself for example.....I've spent hours upon hours trying to improve my playing abilities and I've made incredible strides in the last year alone. And sometimes it only takes a few minutes of watching Joe or Steve to put me back in my place. Sometimes watching makes me want to throw my guitar in the trash can, but a majority of the time it pumps me up to keep playing...nuff said.

Slanshroom - Take care Roy...

Jelly Man - I think so too. Vai was better on the G3 dvd than on the Astoria, even though that dvd rocks! Were you at that show at the Astoria? I remember a few guys from this site were...

matt king - glad to see you around... do you still play guitar or something? ;-)... heh, taker easy man.

SupaaDave - Vai inspires people to dream, as well as shatter a lot of them, lol!

Phew... just put on one of my Andy Timmons discs again, haven't heard him in awhile. He rocks! A most worthy future G3 candidate in my opinion.

Joeman9- You've completely misunderstood me, it's a phrase people jokingly use when they're trying to deny they're jealous of something or someone or are frustrated cos they wanna be as good as someone else. It's like saying 'So what if I'm no good at football, it's a stupid game anyway!'. Maybe people don't say that over the other side of the pond but we do here! Look at my profile, I've been playing for years, you've got the wrong end of the stick..... Supasdave got what I meant, he's obviously had that feeling too, where you spend hours trying to do something and then watch someone else make it look as easy as getting into bed!
