Jazzy Boy - Who cares? Anyone who has ever had or will ever have a trademark cares about this Gibson / PRS case. Trademark infringement is a serious problem.

....On the Trademark Infringement case....

I agree that Gibson did the right thing.... I'm sure PRS would do the same if Gibson copied one of their guitar designs.... It really does affect sales because people who see the guitar at shows might mistake it for a Gibson and buy the PRS version or cause confusion as to who's design is better.... Everything we use is trademarked, and cant be copied.... Legally.... Just my 2 yen on the matter ;-)

Yes indeed, Shogun...Marty is smart as hell. I have read several interviews of his and find him just as smart as Dave Mustaine and the other members of the winning combination of Megadeth. I think he would be an excellent addition to G3, if that ever happens. Marty should definitely send me some sushi from Japan for supporting him for the past 12 years. Thats all I ask.....SUSHI !!!!!!!!

Megadboyd: Marty is boring? In what way? I have never had the fine previledge to watch him live so I dont know. Dave Mustaine for G3.

Alexandre: Dude! I wish your music was out on CD! I really want to buy your music! I just played Grovie Miovie to a nunch of my friends and they were seriously impressed! Please....I am eagerly awaiting the Satchurated feedback! Come on, hurry up!

about the infringement thing: PRS needs a kick in the balls and So does LES PAUL. Its wayyyyyyyy too expensive to even buy their low end guitars. Look at Satch, his candy apple is selling for a really really decent price and without a doubt it sounds AMAZING, just like Joe himself. There is no better guitarist than Joe.......anyone have the balls to disagree? HA HA HA! got you on that one!

I am drunk. Listening to Love thing while my Girl friend does the dishes and cooks pancakes for me. Also beth......if you read this, please forgive me. Forgive me enough to do my laundry. :-) Is there love in space? There naturally will be love in space if there is love on a place called earth. Joe please please please show up sometime soon on T2J. My buddies here want to see the cool blue.............................

Hi Joe god ive been trying to find away to contact u for bout a year when really i should have known it would be on your website. What i really wanted to say was thank u for the music that u play and the cd's u make cos well without them i would probably not look at the world the way i do now. When ever im pissed of or upset i listen to ur music and i just feel happy again. Your songs make me think alot...... i think about what message ur trying to give and i spend some of my time just listening for this message. lol sounds stupid but i believe everything is done for a reason and everything has meaning. I remember the first time i heard one of ur trakes, i was on my bus home wiv my mate adrian and he had this track that he wanted me to listen to on his phone and i said yeah and he played it and the track was Flying In A Blue Dream and when i heard that i just went round his house and he lent me some of your cds. Everyone in my school nos that i like ur music sometimes people take the piss and say oooo van halen better oooo Steve Vai is better ooooo Jimi Hendrix is better, but to be perfectly honest i dont care what they think i dont like vai or hendrix or halen i like ur music i think its the best music ive ever heard. I hope that in life i am a person with great emotion i always try and do the best i can for my friends and family. But the thing that i hate is that i got told that if u go through life being a warm adn just being a nice guy u wont get anywhere ull end up bein used and on ur own so i was told. Its like i when i try and get a girl i always feel that there just gonna use me, i try to trust in them because i try and see the good in everybody but im never to sure. But well this may sound stupid but when i see u play on the dvd's i have seen u seem to feel really passionate about ur gutar playing and abot life but im trying to find what im good at cos uve become something of the world. I even tried learnin the guitar and i was told i wouldnt be able to do it and plus no one would teach me, when ileave for collage cos at the moment im doing my gcse's i wanted to study psychology and i was told i wouldnt be able to do it cos im not clever enough. I was told last friday i was told that my friend tommy gets more respect then me and listened to because he is more intelligent than me. But surley u dont have to be smart to be able to talk the truth and common sence. But ur music is so great. The only thingis ur cd's and dvd's are some what very scarce in england and in the portsmouth town center (the nearest town to where i live) its even harder to find ur cd's and the ones i do find i already have lol. Any way Joe thanks for listening, and thanks again for your music. speak to ya again later

This Bill guy seems to have a pretty good sense of humour while he is conscious. You're lucky (in many ways). God bless loving women.

I'm gonna go and play "(You're) My World" to my wife right now.

SupaaDave, I think you spelled pretentious right! hehe, well I understood it anyway. yeah I have to agree. I think people who don't understand him or just hear a few of his songs think he must be an arrogant bastard, but these are the people who just happen to miss the subtlety in his work, his graciousness (spelling?! haha) and things like his 'journal' entries on his website.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll love the DVD. I haven't got it yet but I was at the second show that was filmed for it, and it was mind-blowing.

I always feel kinda bad when I say things like that about Steve cuz this is Joe's message board! hehe, Joe you're amazing too! Your SBM gig in London was the second gig I ever went to....actually no, the 3rd, cuz I went to see Billy Joel at Wembley when I was about 5!

Joe knows how to put on an amazing show, and the atmosphere is something that you unfortunately can't pick out on a DVD.

Joeman, Joe is 3 years older than Steve, and 3 years younger than Mr Eric Johnson! Sorry, SIR Johnson!
jelly man, dude you got some good seats there. 3 rows up so you can see over the people on the flat floor, and you're fairly close to the middle! I have tickets for rows B and D in the 16/17 area, and row C in 63 to 71! Me and my mates are thinking of making some massive banner to take....any suggestions!

it would be cool if I bump into you there!

actually, that's a good question - anybody got any ideas of what would make a cool banner for a G3 gig? hehe. I promise we won't hold it up all night, obscuring the view for the next 10 rows behind us!

How about "Giant fruit suits for G3!"?

StringG, I would guess around 40-something Euros....a little over 40 I think. That's just a guess, based on the ticket price here in the UK, and the current exchange rate!
weonlywonfiveone, good luck with your first gig. You will love it. Don't treat it any different to the way you treat a practise session, cuz people are there to see you/hear you play, not watch you act. Stay realxed, have fun, and try and be expressive. Face your audience even if you can't look at them all the time.........they don't want to see your back, and don't hunch up round your guitar/bass/mic stand/drum kit (i'm guessing you're a guitarist).......I've seen so many people do that when they start playing a solo and it takes their stage presence down to about 10%.

Enjoy!

The Forgotten (Part 2) For G3!
edit: Guitarcake, yeah I'm going to the b'mouth show. check my post to jelly man for details.

also I forgot to mention that my seats are in the front terrace!

picked up the g3 dvd last nite, (finally found it here) and it was great... I agree that it seems Joe was a bit low volume in the mix on the jams, but it still is a great performance..

Jelly Man - Ya I know that move he does in Tender Surrender... if you check out the Alien Love Secrets dvd you can see him do that, even though the whole thing is synched. It's pretty cool.

MariMariSRV - Vai is definetly an awesome ballad writer. Am I flying? lol, actually no, I never have been in control of a real plane, heh. Shogun and I were just joking around with some past flight sim. experiences. But best of luck to your brother and his flying.

Shogun - lol man. I slam my head into things like that all the time, lol... one of the downsides of being 6'2". I swear I'm starting to get some temporary memory loss from it, lmao. And so true, those dogfighters especially turn like a dream.

ooo, put some new strings on the Ovation. Sounds bee-u-ti-full! I've just named my guitar... "Big Blue". I think I made a good desicsion going with this guitar.
