jamcar - Cool...let us know what you think after you have the chance to listen to it a few times.

michelle - The site is http://www.talk2joe.com/.
hammerons - 99.9% of Joe's tone is in his fingers. He has a great sound, but you should really try to explore a few different sounds to find "your" sound.

Joe uses Dunlop wahs and a DigiTech whammy pedal, among other things. He uses/used a wide variety of Boss pedals as well.

NewTattoo22 - Matt is playing bass with Joe.

Hey Joe ! I'm baffled., how do you get that shrilling harmonic scream on Satch Boogie. I love it,can't get enough of it,but I can't play it.I seen it on video and couldn't pick it out.You do so smoothly and hit it every time.Is it easier than it looks ? Thanks for your encouragement to guitar players.

The Prez

The phycos that did Columbine were Rammstien fans not Manson fans. The media was jumping all over Manson at the time and just assumed that he was to blame. Ive heard that they thought Manson sucked. They were at least clear thinking in that one area. Manson is the Maddona of his era.

delfino - sorry, my wires were a bit crossed there... thought you were talking bout bornemouth seating...

962 - you wouldn't believe this but i just got back from playing a composition of mine, which is a serialist recomposition of in the hall, and the inspector gadget theme tune... it's called "the irrational king inspector" - it's based on root 2 and pi as well, you see.

master yoda - nice little piece that. I can occasionally be found playing it on piano.

I hope Bill will get better, I'd like to email him with my regards, could someone email me his email? That would make it more convient. Btw for tab fans go to powertabs.net, the best quality tabs are there. i believe they have a accurate version of The Crush of Love. Best Joe satriani tab site, here's a direct link to the tabs. http://powertabs.net/pta.php?page=artist,69

Here's for the vai fans....http://powertabs.net/pta.php?page=artist,16

Do the Stu I am planning to go to college, do you think if i do my work and try to practice whenever i can i still can have several hours of practice time?

Webmaster I think what would be cool is if a tab section was added, along with audio clips from previous albums, not the full version, but like 50 second clips so people can check material out and decide if they want to buy the album.

Matt King Good Stuff there, keep jamming.

Hi everyone.

This is my first time at this forum.

My info.

Favorite Players of course Joe, Steve Vai, Eric johnson and Eddie Van Halen

I have been playing guitar since the 7th grade, taught by a chinese lady, the guitar was almost as big as she was. She was a pro.

Anyway, about 16 years ago, " married less than a year" when our apartment was broken into, my prized Kramer, like the one eddie used with the sloped head stock was stolen along with my Acoustic and 2 amps.

A highlight to the above paragraph, I just turned 43 March 8th of this year and for years after I lost my Kramer, I have been saying how badly I wanted another Kramer, well guess what my sweet wife bought for my birthday, a Brand new Kramer. I have been showing her on the musicyo website that Kramer has re-issued the same guitar that I lost.

Now is that love or what.

I have cried 3 times in my adult life. When I married my wife, when my son was born and when she bought that Kramer for my Birthday.

I hope I haven't bored you all here with that story.

P.S.

I bought a gun cabinet thats bolted to the floor ad insured my equipment.

Take Life by the Horns, It beats what you get from the other end.

Keep Rockin.

Tom

VFRRocker & Alexandre thanks for checking out my tunes. The Cd will hopelfully be relaesed in the fall (praying that everything keeps going smoothly) & will hopefully get distribution through guitar 9 or a similar site. The tunes that disappeared off my IUMA page were demos of songs from the cd.

I am having trouble reading the back cover of the new album. Can anyone tell me what the time adds up to? Looks like a lot of the songs are pretty long. I can read the names but really cant make out the lengths. Just curious how long the new album is going to be.

Hi Joe spoke to ya last time but dont think u have been on the site recently but i m sure as ur other fans do we are truly lucky to have a person like u who finds the time to actually cmon the site and talk to us. I was sayin in my last message that ur music relly reaches out to me and it makes me think alot and i wish everbody in this world had as much passion and feeling in their music as u do. I was at school today and my mare was havin ago at me sayin that i look at things too deeply.... and that i souldnt care bout anyone but yourself. But if i did that i wouldnt be me. Its like he says i can never love a girl more than i love myself and i think thats totally crap cos well i no ur married ur partner will return to u waht u give them. If u show them love, care and support they will give it back to u twice as much. But ur music is well words cant describe how skilled u are and well u music is now like apart of my life. Everyone in my school nos that i like ya music. I just wish other people would listen to ur amazing stuff instead of this crap that the rest of my mates listen to. I no this wouldnt happe but would be cool if u just showed up at my school and played like surfing with the alien everbody would be so dam amazed it would be like real music givin them a slap in the face lol. Any way i understand ur a busy guy and i hope ur doin great and if u read this message and if u have time it would be great if you e mailed me at m.dowse1@ntlworld.com.

Flagg: Manson rocks, not shred guitar playing, but kick ass rockin tunes none the less. While i don't listen to Madonna, she's very talented and creative, I have a huge amount of respect for her. She busted her ass and achieved what she set out to do, that alone deserves respect.

Hey joe im a big fan and ive come over here to your site for a small community of guitar players that would like to ask you something. Maybe you have heard of the site, www.Cyberfret.com, its a great guitar teaching site that many people learn from, and there is a forum with a fairly good size group of guitarists who frequent it. We have been thinking about it for a while, and we decided we would die for some real pros to come over and maybe answer some of our questions occasionally. The consensus is in and we decided we would like to try to get you to come over anyone else. So do you think you could stop by the forum sometime and give us a yell? the address is http://www.guitarlodge.com/vbulletin/index.php

please consider doing this is would really encourage alot of us newer...um...blooming? guitarists to work harder and *hopefully* become as successful as you are.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Yes, I have been blessed with a great wife, who doesn't mind listening to me play.

She loves it when I play an Eric Johnson song called "Cliffs of dover", I hope some here are familiar with that song. I can play that song to a tee, it is such a fun song to knock out!

my wife does protest when I crank up the amp and play any VH, Joe S, Eric J, or Steve Vai tune there is something about these tunes that makes me crank it up, Could be a genetic thing.

I also play guitar in my church, I'm a christian man. Sometimes it's hard not to crank it up, but it's the lord s house ya know.

Looking forward to reading and sharing with this board.

Joe S, YOU THE MAN.

Does anyone have any idea of which songs Joe, Vai and Fripp will play during the jam on next G3? I just can't imagine Robert Fripp playing "Rockin in the Free World" or "Voodoo Chile"... Any clues?

G3 for Portugal!

trutina and Phrydom for T2J!

Pinch harmonics for FAQ!

:-)
