quito- Actually Rory Gallagher is an Irishman and the other two Oasis morons are English. Love Rory G., annoyed by the other two. Cheers
Joe- Thanks for droppin' in. Always a mega-pleasure. I just have to say that MXC is hilarious. I love it too. And your new album is antsily anticipated. Can't wait.

Powerslave214: Hello, I have heard and read in the past that Roy Buchanan was the first to use the pitch harmonics. I do not know how true this is. Mr. Gibbons did it better and with more dynamics than anyone in my opinion. He is the king of the "blues boogie funk" in my book. He is in my top 5 favorite players. I have the Roy Buchanan Sweet Dreams:The Anthology discs. There is some great guitar here. Some you and others here may want to check out............Clint

IUMA charts - this is just too amazing... for the past three days I've been just inside the top 200 - all genre and yesterday I made:
hard rock - 16
heavy metal - 12
prog rock - 15
Instrumental - 23
these are my best placings since 'the Great Avarice Scam' - which obviously gave birth to my site.. and back then I hit the top 20 in all genre [so I was number 1 in HR, HM, PR, Inst charts]...
but all that was a long long time ago.. and for me to get such good chart placings right now is in my opinion much more meaningful...
so to all you 'downloaders'... I just can't express enough what this means to me.. and I just can't thank you all enough...

Hey Joe... what's with the Sony dudes... Jumpin the gun on ya... without tellin...
ah well... yeah I stumbled on them sound clips too at the Canadian Sony Store, I thought it was a little odd that they would have them up even though your site didn't have them... but then I thought well maybe they have the rights to post anything they want as long as it's produced under their label and their affilities...

lurenz86 : Welcome to this site bro! Joe didn't give some guitar lessons for years! And there's no Satch school... Sorry! :-)
I'm happy today coz I found a good singer for my band! From the very beginning I was singing... But just because I had the greatest voice in my band although my voice is not fantastic!!! (far from it!) :-) Now my songs will be better... For sure! Soooo coooool !

just listening to the clips of Joe's new album....souls of distortion should be renamed wah of distortion...and the wah sounds like someone been sick.
hands in the air and up in flames sounds cool. gnaaaaahh is kinda funky. but the basic dum che..dum dum che kind of drum beat gets boring. Joe shouldn't sing imo. i like the rain sounds like lust for life by iggy pop. love in space sounds like love thing. i like the tone on if i could fly. searching..the whammy pedal bit sonds cool. may go on for a bit too long...but i haven't heard it all the song yet. bamboo..no opinin on that..not enough to go on. thats my view on Joe's new stuff anyway....

Prince is no doubt a musical genius, the guy can play anything but my problem with him is his guitar sound....its horrendous, it sounds like a fly or a bee trapped in a paper bag....i call it the flybag tone, he needs to rectify that man seriously... maybe he has, the times ive seen him on tv it was horrid.
billy gibbons rocks, i have an MP3 cd in the car that has some of my favorite tracks, lots of rolling stones, pink floyd, joe & zz top.... congrats to billy & the boys..... my friend keeps telling me he has this video he recorded from country music tv or something that has brooks & dunn and zz top jamming together on eachothers songs, he wont cough up....keeps saying he will...arghhh

Big Steven, I remember being totally mezmorized watching Prince's videos back in the day, and they still hit me the same way today. He is, by far, the badest mofo, high heels and all, when it comes to doing what HE wants to do. He's got the whole package - talent, a great look, intelligence, sex appeal. I only have one tape, Purple Rain, which I only bought maybe a year ago. I'd rather watch him on video, but that's the same with Steve Vai. I enjoy their music much more when I'm watching them perform. Fantastic talent! My husband is a big Jackson Browne fan, so he was very happy to see him inducted. Great group of people inducted this year!
JOE, love ya! Have a safe trip!
