Hello everyone. I was wondering what programs do you guys use to record your music with? I'm thinking everyone here uses GuitarTracks by Cakewalk. I'm thinking about doing the same and am wondering what is out there software wise.

Jelly Man - hmm, that sounds pretty cool. It looked like some of those had 10 strings on them or something! Make sure you give us a new demo if you ever get one.

Mikey Vai - Right On!! That's beautiful hunk of wood you got yourself now: dig the pattern on the body, and for no cost on the repairs! lol, that rocks! I'm sure there's gonna be some round the clock fury comin' from Japan now, haha! And great stuff on getting the Rush in Rio DvD, gotta love when everyone sings along to YYZ! Geez, you'll be smiling for a month ;-)! Congrats man...

In memory of the Rio DvD.... Free Alex!

Michelle - rofl, your crazy, haha! Mooman and Stewman, lmao?!? Your son will either have nightmares about it, or is now destined to be a fellow spoon whacker together guy and live in Memphis playing for ZZ Top cover bands, lol. Speaking of the Spoonman song... one of my crazy friends found a spoon in a desk for some odd reason in class. He decided to create his own Spoonman, so he drew a face on it. The thing even had a mullet for hair on the back side of it, lmao! This was just two days ago. He was singing that song forever!

Alexandre - Thanks for that Dream Theater dvd trick! lol, it was funny!

Mowlie - no problem. by the way, nice cover of Always...

Do the Stu: Yes, but I read that he just got officially charged. I suspect he'll get probation or some such.

Master Yoda: If piano strings didn't break, why would they sell replacements? ;-)

And just after I find out that a new Anthrax DVD is due out soon, then I discover that Frank Bello has left. D'oh!

Hey Joe, all the way from Scotland i come from and i know you are coming here with G3 but as a relatively new fan i would like to know if you have plans to tour the uk on your own in the near future...your live DVD is superb and i want to see you live before all my hair goes!...and not with the other bands.

What do people think of the ESP F-series guitars? I know generally people say you gotta try a guitar to see if it suits you and so on.

Also does anyone know how much air brush equipment costs? I wanna start doing some airbrush artwork on guitar bodies...as a little side project.

Austin I gave them my e-mail but I didnt get one from them. I also dont know how to sign in, you said to sign in with your e-mail address and it only had the place to do it with your sony account which I dont have. I dont know what it is. I am pretty sure that its ordered though, cause it was on the 'confirm order' page and it had all the right info there. anyway, I dont know what the heck it is.

right now I am at school doing research for a paper that i am doing. I dont know my exact topic but it has to do with guitar 'heros' or whatever that are or have been in instrumental. its gonna be cool. its a big paper though.

TomSr - If you go to Set Up... and then click Color Bars or something, a screen comes up with those annoying color bars that stations play when nothing is on. Fast forward for a minute or two and then it shows a video of the auditions to be the shrink guy... all those old guys are kinda spooky, lol.

Hi everyone. If you haven't heard the sound clips at sonymusicstore.com just check it out. Bluesy stuff, a spice of whammy, and what you can expect from Joe. Just a sound clip and you get the idea," pure emotion, feeling and songs that sing to you". Thanks again Joe, keep on.

eta - I was describing a sequence of chord.

First play a C chord.

Then play Ab7:

e| 4
b| 7
g| 5
d| 4
a| 6
e| 4

Then play C/G - that's the same as the first C chord, but with the bottom note as G on the E string...

master yoda- yup piano strings break, only very rarely though. And since there are normally 3 of them per note, it makes it harder to tune - plus with pianos you gotta think about tempering...

mick87 - the stick has 10. the grand stick has 12, the ns/stick and stickbass have 8 each.

Tell ya what would be a great piece of Satch Merchandise...album themed hockey shirts.

I thought of it because the misfits hockey shirt looks cool, but I will never be able to find one in the UK. I want a "Crystal Planet" theme hockey shirt and i want it now!

well Van Hagar fans grab your credit cards cause the girls are back on the road... which totally sucks but you journey fans will no doubt be stoked by Van Hagar's (journey-lite) return... as posted on van-halen.com

[3/22/04]:

Detroit, MI East Rutherford, NJ Greensboro, NC Hershey, PA Kansas City, MO Las Vegas, NV Philadelphia, PA St. Louis, MO St. Paul, MN Wilkes-Barre, PA Worcester, MA

but in classic style no dates, but on clear channels concert listings they have some dates.... sammy hagar does not van halen make

delfinopie - yes! the zeppelin one looks awesome.... i ordered what was called a led zeppelin "football jersey" for $30 and it was a regular t-shirt that LOOKED like one so after 1 wash it fades from black to gray, ive worn it twice the second time it was dirty....what a waste

JOE i just learned about this female guitarist named Kaki King....they say shes the female michael hedges, you ever heard of her?

I changed my mind, I either want a satriani hockey shirt with a "Time Machine" theme or the most obvious theme "Surfing With The Alien"...they would kick so much ass it would be hard to believe there was that much ass to kick in the first place.

Does anyone know a good website where I can get blue book values on electric guitars? I keep coming up with sites that want you to buy the book. Someone walked into the pawn shop my friend works at with a 1976 Tobacco Sunburst Les Paul. He claimed it is a Bi-Centennial Les Paul, and I'M going to claim it if he does'nt come back to get it ;) It's in good condition and it weighs a TON !! Can you believe this guy took $100 cash for it? I was almost in tears....he says he's coming back for it in a month, but I hope he does'nt.

Back in '79, I went to see Black Sabbath, and some band named Van Halen opened up. Man was that guitar player awesome. After that I thought that Eddie was god. Then one day in the mid 80's, I'm listening to the radio and I hear Satch Boogie, and I think who in the world is this!?! After seeing Joe during the Flying in a Blue Dream tour, and seeing Van Halen with Sammy, I began saying Eddie who? I've been a loyal fan to Joe all of these years, because the man continues to be creative, glows upon stage, and most importantly, interacts with his fans. Those who choose to pay around 100 bucks to her a recluse emerge for a nostalgia show, see what happens if you try to go back stage for a meet and greet. I'll save my money to see Joe.

Rock on!
