Repost - to WEBMASTER

//////////////////////////

Hi all,

Didn't know where to post this..

I think i found an error in the ROAD section info.

03 Sat Razmatazz Madrid, ES
--  G3 show with Steve Vai and Robert Fripp

04 Sun La Riviera Barcelona, ES
--  G3 show with Steve Vai and Robert Fripp

AFAIK, the 'Razmatazz' is in Barcelona, and the 'La Riviera' is in Madrid.

Could someone rectify that please.. Also, i want to attend to the Barcelona one, when will the tickets be available ?

Thanks guys,

keep it up satch.. you DEFINE music..

Billy Thorpe was the front guy for The Aztecs. (Aussie band from the (IMO not-so) good old days of RnR.) ie "Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs"

Eddie: a few other people have mentioned that before, but nothing has resulted yet. Maybe try to send an email to the webmaster (webmaster@satriani.com) he may get the message. Otherwise try to find out from the venue itself when the show will be.

Hey mischievous, Crystal Planet was really the 1st time I sat down and listened to joe, at first I was like, its ok simply because I was really really really really into Neal Schon's solo stuff and didnt think there was a better guitarist in the world. Now Satriani is who I mainly listen to aside from Dream Evil and Queensryche. Time is my favorite satriani song.

Joe, this message is for you if you get a chance to ever read this. I want to know what inspired you to write Time from your Crystal Planet album. Towards the ending of the song is my favorite, it instantly reminded my of the beach. When I was 16 driving back from the outer banks in N.C, I had track 14 on repeat the whole time for 4 1/2 hrs. I cant get enough of it. Oh yeah, I'm starting a band, i play lead guitar so wish me luck. When I start to get noticed maybe I could be on one of your G3 tours, Thats 1 of my dreams. Wish me luck.

I'm afraid someone has made a little mistake about tour dates and places here in Spain: La Riviera is in Madrid and Razmatazz is in Barcelona. So I guess the order of the concerts is right but not the cities. ;-)

Anyway... I'm dying to see G3!!!. I've only seen Satch once and it was amazing!!! So I'll be there in Madrid to see them. :-)))

By the way, the new album sounds very good (as usual ;-))

trutina - Nice sleep then heh?

Clarky - Right. i'm starting to get the hang of what your saying. Thanks.

jelly man - Thanks to you too for assisting in my understanding.

Yeroma (ghost) - Studies coming along fine. Don't need them anymore as i've already got into uni ;-p And how are you? Not heard from you for a while, hope all's well.

mowlie_2000 - Just realised what's happen. I'm sorry. But as michelle said, it's all a part of life.

Joeman9 - Sorry but i still think my grx 70 is really modest.

Tumbleweed for G3

Edit: Translator - Almost forgot to thank you again. So the ninjas are attacking us while we sleep and the Geishas attack while we are entertained. Well sounds fun ;-p

Sammy Andrews - How are you finding the Train Of Thought? I think that is absolutely awesome.

marimariSRV - yeah, it's aweful over here too. I bet you once it's about mid April, when the planets are not as good, it will be nice and clear ;-(

clarky - can we include some gilbert and sullivan? :P I agree with what you've said though. Prokoviev is just romantic with a few wrong notes here and there. Other guys like Respighi, Bartok too...

artanis... suite/sweet? jellyman hasn't been my nickname on here 2 years, very true, but it first was used in reference to me/my band two years or so ago.

Hello every1

Joe is coming to moscow on Sunday, will have a workshop from 17:00 hours until 18:30, as I have been told. Also, from 10:00 he will be signing guitars, books and CDs.

Now, local Ibanez dealer who organizes all of this strictly said that only IBANEZ guitars will be allowed to be signed. I can understand that from the piont of dealer, business stuff etc but here in moscows a bunch of Joe's fans can not afford JS guitars who are here starting from $2500 and above (oh yes, Ibanez and Peavey dealers are overpricing their instruments A LOT). Bunch of good guitarplayera are using other guitars, so I was wondering how does Joe feel about this? I mean, a load of those people are his fans but WILL NOT be allowed to get his signature? Pretty strange.

Me, as a proud owner of JS1000 and JS2000 among other 25 axes I own, feel kind of stupid knowing that some people will not be allowed to see Joe just beacuse they don't have an Ibanez guitar?

Any input from someone who knows Joe in person?

Trutina.....yeah I kind of noticed right away that they had the (would be) guitar cable going to the Wah output jack. It looks like they had the right idea but they got the in and out jacks backwards. You would think they would have corrected that before some poor kid just starting out went and plugged all his pedals in that way, only to discover that he's not getting any sound at all...lol.

Just checked out the brief new clips at the sony site.....they sounded like Strange Beautiful Music part 2!....Maybe I need to hear the whole tracks to make a better judgement, but I didn't hear much that sounded a whole lot different from that disc, which was a bit of a disappointment overall for it's extreme simplicity song structure and rhymically wise. I wish Joe would blend his awesome choops and melodicism with some more cerebral sounding changes/arrangements/etc. ..at least every now and then. As it stands, a lot of his music sounds like it could have been composed to a drum machine, not that that is a bad thing, but some backdrop complexity would would be a welcome new direction for him. Maybe something like the way Steve Morse writes or possibly Mike Stern or something, I dunno, anyway, now that I'm thru griping, I'm still a HUGE Satch fan, no matter what he does!

ridgekarme- i kinda agree. i think that joe always sticks to his set list. so we never get to hear him actually "go off." but ina way i disagree. i dont think he should change anything about him, because he has established himself with this certain style.and all his fans expect to hear a certain style???? ...................................sargent t

Whoa. Today's been quiet for a change.

Sargent t - Got a name yet? Why not try picking a random letter. Then think of a colour and the first thing that comes to mind is your name (adaptations may be carried out....) Also, i think Joe may change his style just to show how versatile he is. In fact, he doesn't have a style, apart from being awesome.... ;-p

Mikey Vai - :-p So does daiski mean love? Does Japanese have certain rules like words are different meaning when by themself but within a phrase means something else? Languages can be so confusing.

Well not much has happened today here. Guess everyone's busy.

Cryin' for G3 Glasgow!

Do The Stu - I read somewhere that Sony really likes having artists like Joe on their roster, as they don't need to promote him but he still always sells well because he's got one heck of a hardcore following, so they make out with a higher profit margin.

Just imagine what a little promotion could do...

Sargent t - It's interesting, in that GP interview Joe addressed that very issue of appeasing his fans....I think he could pretty much do nearly anything and he's not gonna loose his fanbase, as long as the hot guitar playin' is still in there! Joe sounds like a guy who loves to try new things too, so it probably wouldn't be too much of a strecth.
