Hey Joe, Jimmy Basurto here (a.k.a. Mr Smooth). Well I am sitting here listening to "Clouds Race Across The Sky" and I'm wishing that I was sitting in a studio jamming with ya. Anyway, I wanted to make a suggestion... Would it be possible for your webmaster to create some awesome themes for the pc along with some hi-res wallpapers? I've been searching on the net for these sort of things and my pc has pretty much come to the point where it's about to tell me "You've reached the end of the internet, please go back now." Can't wait for the new album to come out and to see you in concert.

Jimmy

Hey Death Cube k: The transparent black is my color of choice too. They are so damn slick...! Also, are you still going to see Buckethead at the Cabooze?

Stu Clone: Yes, Hippies suck! lol.....I mean the fake hippies really get to me, simply because its so fake and easy to catch.

SuppaDave: Particle people and buckethead?

Song of the day: My Michelle by gnr.

Graham, make it a blue one please :) and what year model am I getting? I want to know what I should look forward to :)

Flagg, no matter where you're at, people are always a great source of amusement. lol!

Powerslave, I was never at the 9:30 Club. I've heard it's smack in the middle of Dangerville. lol! No thanks. lol! As for the title Honkin' On Bobo ~ LMAO!!! First time I heard the title announced on the radio, I stopped in my tracks and yelled "NO WAY!!" lol!!

Fretslayer, the new Aerosmith cd is GREAT! Listen to some clips on cduniverse.com or whatever music site you like. I love it.

Alexandre, that 1500 posts, not 1400! lol! It's all good though. It took a long time to get that far.

Austin, I made it to song #9. This is a great cd! Good party music. I challenge you not to tap your foot to this cd. It can't be done! I haven't been disappointed by any of the songs yet. I'll be telling everyone about this cd for sure. I still haven't listened to Clapton's Me & Mr Johnson yet. Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow. I have the feeling that one's going to kick ass too. As for the tournament, I just don't have it in me this time around. To much stuff on my mind. Sorry bud.

Mick, hmmm, a Euro-dance rave master that wears a big pink bunny suit...hmmm, I like that idea :) lmao!! No silly, Jonathan Davis played Alice on The Brady Bunch! duh! lol!

Joeman, I don't have a 9mm, but I do have one of those Rosie O'Donnell sling-shot things that could put a hurtin' on ya. Should I go find it? ;-) Your dad only wants the best for you. He prolly wants things for you that he didn't have himself, so he pushes you HARD. Just think of how many years you have until you can move out and make your own rules. You'll prolly be glad your dad took such an active roll in your upbringing. A lot of kids are raised without a dad. That sucks even worse. As for talking about killing yourself - a lot of us here have been in your shoes with that feeling. A lot of us know at least one person who is no longer here because of that feeling. It's a bad thing bro. Sooo NOT the right thing to do - EVER! Feel sad, cry, break stuff, but NEVER think of taking your own life, or that of any other!

Mikey, right back at ya honey!! lol! Best words I've heard all day :)

H.B. ~ J. B. !!

Austin: you must have experienced dirty supermarket floors, going by this recurring question. No, I'm not bothered by that stuff when it isn't there to be trodden on.

Greyfox/962: I think maybe you're confused with "twit"

Flagg: ""No Shirt, No Shoes, No Dice." "Read it. Learn it. Live it."" please explain? (what you are trying to get across here)

According to Trutina, a gallon is 3.78 litres. Therefore, where I live petrol costs @A$3.78 per gallon. That equates to about $US2.8something damn I closed the window per gallon of unleaded petrol. It's cheaper on the mainland.

Jazz: that'd make you 2 days older than me, and pretty much the same age as OCP from memory.

BTW everyone, try not to use those "age is only ... " "you're only as old as ... " etc sayings. They're things old people say to make them think they're young.

Oh yeah, about the cost of living in countries such as Australia and New Zealand: true, it's cheaper, but here's an even more true reality: income is less. Move here, spend less money on being alive ... however get less in the first place. Something a lot of British and American immigrants find out later on.

Jazzy boy I like to joke around and stuff too but I dont think people can always tell when you are playing around or not. maybe you just take things to far too. there is a point when some things arent funny anymore, they just get old. just something to think about. i"m not trying to start and argument with you.

Mick: I have my own designer label of socks. My latest series involves lines on them for templates of where the sandal straps should go for ultimate comfort and protection. (I hate how that word was overused by women's products in recent years.) I'm in negotiations with 3-4 sandal companies as to whether I should endorse their products or not.

What about thongs? Can I wear those in a supermarket in USA? Will the antisocksandalist fashion police come after me if I wear them with socks?

Austin: if you wear shoes all the time, whatever is on the bottom of them is going to be the same as whatever is on the bottom of someone's feet if they don't wear any. Feet are easy to wash. Skin is amazing like that. Unless you tread in HCl or something, your feet aren't going to get hurt much! Just don't tread on sharp stuff or the road when it's hot!

Zinc Master: I'm in New Albany, about 3 minutes outside of Louisville, KY. I saw from your posts you teach at Purdue. That's cool, I have a few friends that went there.

Austin: That's a great Frasier quote lol. And someone had better vote dammit! I'm ready for round three!

re: VH debate: I've argued this too many times to contribute too much. Sammy is the lesser of two evils. End of story.

JS JS: He's learning those to read music on the staff.

LGU 89: Welcome back, and sorry but David took David out of Van Halen lol.

quito: Thanks for the info, I was curious to hear from you on this, knowing of your country's oil production.

Mikey Vai: Yeah, that's what I thought. Almost $4 a gallon. No wonder Honda and Toyota are all about hybrid vehicles. If gas prices were that way here, the big three would get their asses in gear and get serious about fuel economy.

Jazzy Boy: I've never been to keen on the Beatles either. I guess they influenced a lot of people so that's good. Opened new ground for a lot of bands and all. Other than that, they can keep the walrus lol. Oh, and yeah, get the LP! Happy belated birthday to you as well.

death cube K: Is that Canadian or US?

Stu Clone: How about calling it Rodger?

Artanis I: I've been wondering that too, why the questions about dirty supermarket floors. If you are walking around outside, I'm quite sure you've been thru something dirtier than the supermarket floor. Unless you are shopping in an open market in Calcutta during a soccer riot. Oh, and Flagg was quoting the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Happy birthday to you by the way.

Trutina: Okay it's a quote, cool.

What does it mean?!?

Oh yeah it's still the 30th in the USA ... cheers.

Funny thing about that quote is in Australia, the (currently in Government) Liberal Party is actually a conservative party. So it's win-win situation there.

Benny, LMAO!!! Now I'll have this vision of you walking through the supermarket in white knee-hi socks and a thong (the butt floss kind, not the flip-flop kind). lmao!!! Man, that's toooo funny!! All I need to know is what you went shopping for, and do you want paper or plastic. lmao!!

HA!! I also just had the thought of when you get to the register. Here they have these magnifying things that show the cashier if you have something underneath your cart. Pitty the foo who gets a glimpse of your lower quadrant in that thong! lmao!!! It will look like your hung like a watermellon...unless you really are....then it will just look lethal. lol!

Well, I'll do my best to explain the scene. The movie came in the early eighties. Sean Penn plays a stoner surfer dude and Judge Reinhold plays this guy that's the assitant manager of some fast food place. Anyway, Penn walks into the restaurant with some buddies and they all take their shirts off. Reinhold comes over and points out the obligatory sign on the matter. Penn, in a perfect stoner/surfer voice reads the sign aloud, which is the quote Flagg posted. You need to see this movie, it's great. It's much funnier to watch than what I've written here lol.

michelle: Hung like a watermelon isn't lethal? Jeez, I feel so inadequate lol

Oh, thong ... right ... yes ... maybe this is another point where only slightly different cultures collide ... with disastrous consequences!!! Paper or plastic? Not familiar with this bit.

I didn't realise watermelons were hung. Wow. Maybe our watermelons haven't evolved genitalia yet.

What's the bit about "dice" for?

Hmmm... Why is it that most Hagar-era VH fans can tolerate DLR, but most DLR-era VH fans can't stand Hagar?

UF Dean - Hehehe...you can't stop talking about Dean guitars, can you? Is Hagar's red guitar from the cover of I Never Said Goodbye a Dean? I've always liked that one, and I don't remember what kind it was...

If not, what covers are you talking about...?

Elgin - right-handed pinch harmonic + left-handed whammy bar = harmonic scream
Jazzy Boy - T2J has NEVER been as busy as it has been so far in 2004. All I'm saying is it'd be nice if we could all avoid pointless posts...

::sigh:: This doesn't deserve this much discussion...

michelle - From what I've heard so far (and I don't expect my opinion to change), my favorite Honkin' On Bobo track is Stop Messin' 'Round (track 11). Aerosmith have played that one live for years...it's nice to finally have a studio version of it.

I hope the CD sells well. Sony isn't really promoting it. A lot of Sony's higher-ups want the record to fail so they can get back to IDWTMAT-era Aero$mith... Blah. :-(

Artanis I - Well, I guess Australian floors are pretty clean. Working at Wal-Mart over the summer did make me change some of my habits... The back rooms in big stores like that are so dirty...I'll never drink another can of soda without either washing the top of the can or pouring it into a cup, for example. Maybe I'm crazy...?
trutina - Fast Times At Ridgemont High is an awesome movie... :-)

...Austin...

has anyone ever heard Yngwie comment on his "scalloped" fretboards. he says it makes it difficult to play fast..... now is it just me or does this seem a little off.

Austin-I never liked DLR, but I always liked EVH.When Hagar came along is when I became a really big VH fan.I like showmanship, but I need some substance.DLR is the Jean Claude Van Damme of the music world.Hagar is an ACTUAL musician.
Scalloping a fretboard does not affect speed at all.Yngwie is full of it on that one.It makes it really easy to have a wide vibrato though.
