I've played for near two years and I barely even get FACE and E(very) G(ood) B(oy) D(oes) F(ine) and I have a father constantly beaeing down on me about how I don't try hard enough. As far as the Van Halen/Van Hagar argument goes, I'm firmly in the David Lee Roth camp and haven't cared for anything the Van Halens and Michael Anthony have done with anyone else, not that I've heard anyway. Plus, Skyscraper was an album I grew up with when I was young (that and Flying In A Blue Dream are probably my two most fondly remembered albums from my youth), so that puts me further on the side of good old Diamond Dave, who I saw in Glasgow in February and thoroughly enjoyed.

Long time no post on here, so I apologise if I missed out what anyone may have said to me.

I did catch a couple of comments mind you. Eta, I'm still trying to get the hang of Midnight, I understood what you suggested and it has helped, just need to practise to get up to speed so thank you for helping me there. At the moment I'm trying to get the hang of that, Die To Live, Eruption, The Forgotten (Part 1), Summer Song (virtually impossible without the decent whammy possibilities exploited by Joe but good fun, which is the main thing!).

With Alexandre I'm going to attempt to communicate in Portuguese. I didn't before but I feel that I can now for two reasons. Firstly, it doesn't seem to be a big deal or 'show-off' style to use other languages on here which is cool, especially as just about everyone else is trying there Japanese out on here (demo, watashi wa nihongo ga wakarimasen desu!). Secondly, I have a Portuguese exam coming up in about a couple of months and I'm way out of practice.

Conta-me lá coisas, pá! Um grande abraço.

Another mini-essay of a post there, just need to get motivated to do this kind of thing for my studies!

Hope everyone at Satchland is doing well, also I hope Joe is having a fun time on his travels.

Take care.

GODGUNSGUITARS, I got it. Segregationism can be used as a way to preserve some group's culture, like with the native american tribes, or the gypsies. Should be always a personal choice. And yes, people often confuse racism, segregation and prejudice.

Artanis, right... Since we're all Homo Sapiens, racism is a stupid thing...

Flagg, good one! Too bad you don't remember who said that...

Personally I find much more difficult to hate all people from some ethnic group, religion, or country. How can someone be "anti" a whole country???

trutina, gas here is around US$ 0.65 a liter, which makes it US$ 2.45 a gallon. Dunno if it's cheap or not, but sure there are a lot of taxes included. I must say that there's a small percentage of alcohol added to the gas, and this amount varies from time to time. Here in Brazil we also use pure alcohol as fuel, which is much cheaper since it comes from sugar cane and not from deep underground. Right now it's around US$ 1.13 a gallon (it requires adapted engines, though). I must add that we produce over 90% of the oil we consume. Venezuela's got a lot of oil, too, but I don't know if gas is cheap there, and I don't know anyone I could ask...

Webmaster Jon: Thank's for the updates :-)

slanshroom: Thank's for the heads up on John Bearden, it's amazing how this could really change the way we live.... I'm sure the government wont let it happen though, cause like you said.... Deep pockets, deep money the way it is now, lol....

mick87: haha, lol man, we do know the Circle Of Life and it does include: soup, guitars, dojos, and sake!!.... And sometimes a second soup!! lol, haha!! ;-)

eta(san): Genki desu yo!! :-).... Kyo wa ii tenki desu ne, taiyo mo detemasu yo!!.... We have nice weather today and the sun is shining too!! :-)

Zenfish: lol man, it's all good, cause some people think Steve goes too far (even I do sometimes), but he has the instrument mastered with soo many techniques and sounds that no one can come close to doing what he does.... JOE, on the other hand, is the melody master, and can move your spirit and soul like no one else.... JOE is the Senses Touching king, lol ;-)

btw, politicians.... Greasy and slick, just like snakes, lol!!....

michelle: wow, for your 1500th post we gotta say Luv ya michelle!! :-)

Noppa: twat (if someone didnt explain it already) can mean a multitude of things.... Usually, it's like calling someone "stupid", and the other one is the female's....ahem.... You know, that ruler of mankind down there, hehe ;-)

Clarky: A friend of mine went to New Zealand last year and said it was really cheap!!.... It's very beautiful, and the cost of living there is great.... He wants to move there, lol!!....

962: Yeah man, those N4's are ungodly in price, lol, I'd love to try one out someday, and I'm sure it's design will make it last forever!!.... I think they are still making them too, I saw an ad for the 2003 Model N4 awhile back and I think it was $2,500!!!! :-0

On the Guitar Wars dvd.... That is great news indeed!! :-).... I do hope there is alot of showcasing going on there, and I remember the little vid clip where they said it was a blast!!.... Cant wait to get it now!!....

alexandrecaetano: haha, thank's for the correction on the rivers, lol, ;-) and please keep me posted on the dvd!! :-) btw, I talked to Clara and I hope I can help her out, and Mr. GP is going to take Japan by storm!!!! :-) :-).... Great week my friend!! :-) :-)

Joeman9: Hang in there bro, dont let your father get ya down, just remember that your not the only one going through this crisis!!.... It will pass, and dont expect things to change overnite.... Keep the faith, and keep charging!!!!.... Be yourself, and if your Dad dont like it, then it's his bad!! :-) :-)

Big Steven: Hey man, your Japanese is great too!! :-)

....On the steam engine stuff.... Anyone heard of Bernouli's Principle??.... Leonardo Da Vinchi (sp?) and many ancients had all the principle ideas on the drawing board and it was just a revolution of ideas that became a reality.... You cant pinpoint one person on those inventions.... It was a culmination of efforts that brought these inventions to reality....

....On gas prices.... I get mine for the same price you guys do in the States cause it's from a U.S. Installation, lol, but downtown, it is ave. 90yen/ltr (about $1/ltr).... So, that makes it over $3/gl!!.... Suck's when your country has no natural resources and has to buy just about everything, lol, cept for farming....

Hey people, I'm glad I didnt start a shit storm this time. Whenever I see Rastas, Hippies, Goths, Bible thumpers....I never think of myself better than. Its just a lot of fun not to be serious all the time, you know? As for those people calling me immature, maybe I am a little twat and a little immature and I admit it. Its good to know that I can take things seriously and lightly all at the same time. I wasnt offending anyone, just making sarcastic jokes on some of my observations (mainly a lot of my friends, they are a bunch of pot smoking hippies!). Now cut this shit until I ask you to start it again! LMAO!

As for the Beatles, I disagree they were the greatest band of all time. They were pretty damn good, without a doubt, but I dont think they beat Pink Floyd.

Do the Stu: T2J is always busy. Its not like I am slowing down the routers or something everytime I post. Take it easy.

As for how autographed CD's go, good for those people if it makes them happy. I cannot stop you from liking what you like. I dont buy autographed products.

And Alexandre, dude I have to think out my portuguese before I post it. The last one I posted was pretty bad!

I just turnedPaul standard double cut. Any opinions? The floyd rose and locking nut is just not for me. I'm too lazy....

"too lazy for a floyd" lol man... that's awesome.
far as hippies go, well... i've got some hilarious stories about stupid crappy hippies. and probably funnier ones about actual serious hippies. heh heh.

theory buffs,
i need some help w/ non-chord tones. i know the non-chord tones, but i'm having a hell of a time deciding what i want to call these certain notes in a piece i wrote.
i need to have every note analyzed, which really isn't a big deal considering i generally have extensions comin out the wazoo (chord tone, chord tone, chord tone, chord tone, chord tone... does it get any easier? lol)...

the first is a D# over an F#sus2. the note before it is a D# from an Emaj9, the next two notes are an E in the same chord (which I'm calling an escape tone) and a G# over a G#7. i'm thinking possibly a non-chord tone retardation? i don't know if that's really acceptable though...

the other problematic one is an E over a G#7. it is sandwiched by two G#s. i have no idea what to call this one.

any thoughts?

Hey Joe, Jimmy Basurto here (a.k.a. Mr Smooth). Well I am sitting here listening to "Clouds Race Across The Sky" and I'm wishing that I was sitting in a studio jamming with ya. Anyway, I wanted to make a suggestion... Would it be possible for your webmaster to create some awesome themes for the pc along with some hi-res wallpapers? I've been searching on the net for these sort of things and my pc has pretty much come to the point where it's about to tell me "You've reached the end of the internet, please go back now." Can't wait for the new album to come out and to see you in concert.

Graham, make it a blue one please :) and what year model am I getting? I want to know what I should look forward to :)

Flagg, no matter where you're at, people are always a great source of amusement. lol!

Powerslave, I was never at the 9:30 Club. I've heard it's smack in the middle of Dangerville. lol! No thanks. lol! As for the title Honkin' On Bobo ~ LMAO!!! First time I heard the title announced on the radio, I stopped in my tracks and yelled "NO WAY!!" lol!!

Fretslayer, the new Aerosmith cd is GREAT! Listen to some clips on cduniverse.com or whatever music site you like. I love it.

Alexandre, that 1500 posts, not 1400! lol! It's all good though. It took a long time to get that far.

Austin, I made it to song #9. This is a great cd! Good party music. I challenge you not to tap your foot to this cd. It can't be done! I haven't been disappointed by any of the songs yet. I'll be telling everyone about this cd for sure. I still haven't listened to Clapton's Me & Mr Johnson yet. Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow. I have the feeling that one's going to kick ass too. As for the tournament, I just don't have it in me this time around. To much stuff on my mind. Sorry bud.

Mick, hmmm, a Euro-dance rave master that wears a big pink bunny suit...hmmm, I like that idea :) lmao!! No silly, Jonathan Davis played Alice on The Brady Bunch! duh! lol!

Joeman, I don't have a 9mm, but I do have one of those Rosie O'Donnell sling-shot things that could put a hurtin' on ya. Should I go find it? ;-) Your dad only wants the best for you. He prolly wants things for you that he didn't have himself, so he pushes you HARD. Just think of how many years you have until you can move out and make your own rules. You'll prolly be glad your dad took such an active roll in your upbringing. A lot of kids are raised without a dad. That sucks even worse. As for talking about killing yourself - a lot of us here have been in your shoes with that feeling. A lot of us know at least one person who is no longer here because of that feeling. It's a bad thing bro. Sooo NOT the right thing to do - EVER! Feel sad, cry, break stuff, but NEVER think of taking your own life, or that of any other!

Mikey, right back at ya honey!! lol! Best words I've heard all day :)

Austin: you must have experienced dirty supermarket floors, going by this recurring question. No, I'm not bothered by that stuff when it isn't there to be trodden on.

Greyfox/962: I think maybe you're confused with "twit"

Flagg: ""No Shirt, No Shoes, No Dice." "Read it. Learn it. Live it."" please explain? (what you are trying to get across here)

According to Trutina, a gallon is 3.78 litres. Therefore, where I live petrol costs @A$3.78 per gallon. That equates to about $US2.8something damn I closed the window per gallon of unleaded petrol. It's cheaper on the mainland.

Jazz: that'd make you 2 days older than me, and pretty much the same age as OCP from memory.

BTW everyone, try not to use those "age is only ... " "you're only as old as ... " etc sayings. They're things old people say to make them think they're young.

Oh yeah, about the cost of living in countries such as Australia and New Zealand: true, it's cheaper, but here's an even more true reality: income is less. Move here, spend less money on being alive ... however get less in the first place. Something a lot of British and American immigrants find out later on.
