Hehehe... I just heard the cheesiest remix ever. I bought the expanded and remastered version of Yes' 90125 a few days ago, and finally listened to it today. Man...the Owner Of A Lonely Heart dance remix is so bad it's good.

Jazzy Boy - The message board isn't slow now...it's NORMAL. ;-)

Mr Nick - Hmmm...that sounds interesting, but I'll pass...
testas - Welcome back...I think I remember you from a while ago...
juju808 - LOL... Have you seen that episode of The Simpsons where Homer tries to build a grill (Mom And Pop Art, from Season 10)? I hope yours didn't end up looking like that. ;-)

I grilled some AWESOME hamburgers last night... Woohoo!

trutina - If you end up buying an old microwave, cook some CDRs. Buy some of the ones with colored dye... Put them on top of a small paper cup for about five seconds (shiny side up) and watch the fireworks. The CDRs look VERY cool afterwards. I haven't tried this myself, although I plan to do it with one of the microwaves on campus soon.
Lone Wolf / Lamu - Welcome!

Hi there,

has anyone a clue, if Joe will also rock Shanghai one day?

Have missed no gig in Germany since 1995, but it looks like this year I have let him go, without me in first row *g*

Regards, Daniel

Austin- I think I somewhat remember that episode, but only vaguely...

Hope all in Satchland have a good night...

SammyAndrews: you can't think that way man!! I've been knocked on my ass by other guitarists many times, and never been tempted to put down the guitar. You have to find your niche as a player and know that everyone has a personal special sound and area to contribute to the guitar. Other than that, pick a goal and work toward it.....I first heard Satch and saw him in concert around 1999, and he killed me haha! So i figured I better learn how to do that. Now I can, but with my own "Chris Peters" twist on it.

Satrionick - thanks for the link to Hands in the Air. It sounds awesome - especially the solo at 2:07. This may be up there with War's solo (1:58), If's solo (3:38), and Time's (3:09) as some of the best guitar work ever recorded. Then again, maybe not - it's late here in DC and I've been listening to rough mixes of MY music all night :)

Greyfox-Rusty is much faster than Joe and Vai.But hten again, that is his big goal, to be really fast. That is definately not Satch or Vai's goal. Please remember that faster does not equal better.I think I am faster than Joe and Vai, but they smoke me like a fine cuban.Speed is a small portion of what guitar playing, nay, music is about.

I drink alone-Me too.I mean I drink alone.ANd when I do, I usually prefer to be by myself.

Speaking of which, only Hornitos Tequila goes in my margaritas, as of about 2 minutes ago.The difference between this and that Cuervo nonsense is stunning.Like the difference between "punching an eclair" and true love. ;D

See Zappa's Jazz Discharge Party hats if the reference is too obscure.

Zachary-Hey man, good call on Danny Gatton. His playing was something else!Vai once said in an interview that if he had to pick the best guitarist on earth, hed say Danny.Id say Morse, but thats just me.Id rather listen to Joe above em all though.

One of the cooler things about Danny was that he was a monster of a player, but totally could care less about the theory side of it.I have both of his videos, and in one of them he is talking about chords. He goes"I really don't know what kinda of chord this is, but I like it a lot.Its got an "A" in it, so I guess it's some kind of A chord."

Miss the guy.Him, Shawn Lane and Zappa SHOULD still be alive right now.Its just not right.

DO THE STU- i'm still perplexed... why download and keep the music if you like the artist? by virtue you dislike the artist if you rip em off... "im a fan" no you arent. im confused.... why do the people who download music by a certain artist, keep it...and go to their shows? its hard for me to understand it.... why keep music by someone you don't respect? cause if you really respected the artist you'd buy it... and if u dont really respect the artist, why are u going to the show? im lost man.... then again people are stupid and if posed these questions the likely response would be "i dont know" or "cause everyone else is".....i guess what im trying to say is people who rip off an artist by downloading their music and keeping it without buying, arent fans afterall...so maybe the artist isnt really losing, i dunno. if only life were so simple...fuckin thieves.

Eva, a bit of aggression towards the mail carrier should be expected when they don't deliver the goods. Try the dental floss or fishing line trip wire next time. That way you can jump on them when they hit the ground. lol!! I pity the foo who messes with mah music delivery! lol! Poor Granola probably thought she was getting a good proposition when Charlton told her he was packing heat...and it turned out to be a tube of Ben-Gay.

Bil, as for the fro - grow it out and pack it down. lol! I'm tellin' ya, it could very well be the answer to the head trauma you've been suffering. Maybe a hat made of silly putty would work too? Send your silly putty egg donations to Bil McKim, P.O. Box... lol! Cool story about the baby squirrel. I take it that with all these fire stories you're trying to tell us that you're hot stuff. lol! I'm thinking child proof stove knob covers for Miranda to try to save the house. lol! Hope you're feeling better bro :)

Joeman, Trutina has lots of good luck. He has a great woman, a great sense of humor, lots of friends who support him and love him, a roof over his head, prayers from all over the world asking God to watch over him, he has recovered from a week in a coma, he has great life stories to tell - I'd say his luck isn't to bad. Gotta look at the sunny side bro. On one hand, his health (and cooking skills) leaves a lot to be desired. On the other hand, he experiences a miracle every day. When life deals you lemons, you make lemonade.

Mick, get out your lederhosen brutha, we're gonna be kicking ass and takin' names! lol!

Mari, soooo glad you decided to come back and check your message and STAY here at T2J :)

Julie, Fireman (or Firemarshall?) Bill (Jim Carry) is the funniest thing ever! I loved that show! I REALLY wish they would show re-runs of it. My kids would love it too. Maybe I'll pick it up on DVD or VHS one of these days.

Ethn, that's funny, When I drink alone, yeah, with nobody else. Man, I was wondering if that was going through anybody else's head when they read that nick. lmao! Now I have that song stuck in my head. lol! It keeps bouncing back and forth with the riff from One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer!

YaYo, I totally agree!!

Part I

Joeman9: I'm doing pretty well. I have good days and bad you know. Sometimes the negativity bug comes along and bites into ya for a bit. It usually starts out innocently enough. The little bug will cruise up, say something like, "Hey Bil, how's it goin man? I haven't been around much lately and thought I'd check on you. You know how much I love to sit around with you and help you bitch and complain about things. We should hang out together for a few days. Just for old times sake. You can tell me about how you hate being unable to do the things you want to. I can assist you in feeling sorry for yourself and encourage you to be a miserable bastard. What do you think?" So you end up hanging out with the negativity bug for a lil bit. It's seems ok for a day or two, but then he starts to wear on you. He becomes that overly excited guy that will not shut up and leave you alone. Always yapping in your ear, polluting your thoughts and making you miserable, just like he promised. So, you have to get up off of the couch, shave off the five day old beard and stomp a mud hole in the little shit's ass. Then you get back to normal and think to yourself, "What the hell was that all about?" It's all part of the process we call life I suppose. Just remember, there is no such thing as a bad day. There are good days, and days that are used to measure good days against. If all days were good, how would you know if it was a good day or not lol?

Lone Wolf: Howdy! Tells us a bit about yourself. This is a big family here, complete with crazy aunts and uncles. Take your coat off and stay a while.

Megaboyd: Cool, I'm not the only one! We will not fall victim to our own desires. We will not drive ourselves crazy with a 30 second clip. We will wait, be patient, and keep our sanity until the album arrives. For we are, umm, we're something. I'm not sure what. I'll have to get back to you on that lol.

Part II

marimariSRV: Thank you very much for saying that. I do know how lucky I am for having someone like her. I never knew anything like this was possible. I went against every instinct, every thing I thought I knew about love and life, and this is where I ended up. I love that quote by the way. Carlin I believe, after the Sept. 11 attacks. Very much true. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find the kind of love you're looking for. You have to just let go completely. Forget about protecting your heart, your pride, your self esteem. When you find that person, the one worth risking everything for, just let it all hang out. Go for broke and don't look back. Stare the gods of fear right into their eyes and tell them to get fucked. It took me four months to talk Miranda into going out with me without it being about friendship. I told her several times I wanted more than that, and she shot me down more times than I care to remember. Everything and everyone told me I was wasting my time, but I knew she was the one, so there was no stopping me. It was quite liberating to drop all of my fears, and let my guard down, make myself look like a complete jackass or whatever to impress upon her that I was very much in love with her. My patience and stubbornness paid off ten fold. I won't ever let my pride get in the way of love again. Like they say, love conquers all. Fear. Pain. Coma. I'm a believer now, more than ever. Jeez, I talk a lot lol.

Austin: Dude, I'm so ready to go buy a microwave tomorrow. There's generally tons of yard sales on fridays, I may just have to take the dog for a walk around the neighborhood, see what I can find. Shit, I'll have to bring it back. Can't carry it that far. Will get in trouble for driving. I'll pay the neighbor's kid to haul it in a wagon or something lol. This is gonna be fun. Oh, and I got an email from Sony! Will miracles ever cease?

michelle: The squirrel is too cool. He was hanging out with us all evening, out on the porch. I don't know much about squirrels, but I have to assume his mother wouldn't approve of him playing with us lol. And, what you said to Joeman9, wow. That is as heartwarming and nice as anything I've read in this place ever. I was already feeling better and you just improved my mood by at least 100%. Thank you. Life is good.

SSA- im not quite sure what squeels u heard, but there were some high pitched sounds that sounded like a combo of wah-wah pedal and note bending, maybe trem thrown in. my favorite satch song... i tried to learn it a couple years ago but got frustrated, i have zero patience and when i dont get results right away i throw the guitar down LOL... for me its play by memory, i dont think anyone can really become a good guitarist playing by memory... you have to learn it, and make the knowledge become innate, having a natural gift helps too...none of which i possess. good luck with the tune.

Argh... T2J is bugging me. I thought I lost a post earlier tonight, but I was able to salvage it by doing a few ctrl + refresh things... I lost the post I just made though, so here's another, somewhat similar, one:

Sammy Andrews - No, I didn't do anything overly special to the hamburgers this time around. I used some boring seasoning, but that's all. I LOVE mixing chopped onions into the hamburger patties before I grill them. Maybe I'll do that next time...

juju808 - Live On is an awesome album, but I actually like the other two a lot more... Some of the covers on Live On (Oh Well, Changes) are so cool. I think Trouble Is... is my favorite KWSB album.
Ya Yo Gakk - You're perplexed? Don't worry about it...haha. ;-) I think you understand most of it...

Most people who download music aren't music fans at all. They like certain songs that are on the radio because they're "cool".

"people who rip off an artist by downloading their music and keeping it without buying, arent fans afterall...so maybe the artist isnt really losing"

The artist is still losing money, even if the person who stole the music may not be a real "fan". That point is irrelevant. Stealing is stealing.

Ugh... ;-) Some people are just stupid. I'm so sick of hearing them come up with new ways to rationalize their theft.

trutina - Click here for some better instructions for your CDR / microwave fun. Click here if you want to see a spiffy picture of the end result.

:-)

...Austin...

Iam currently in a band called Lsdlucy which is Starting to kick off althuogh we are finding it hard to get gigs because ppl think we are too good and would gain more crowd attention, the fact that we have only been going for barely 7 months and playing the hardest of megadeth covers and metallica no one gives us a chance to show our talent, oh well... did you ever experience this?. it must be just the crappy scene over here lol. anyway cheak out our website www.lsdlucy.cjb.net .jamis.
