artanis According to my dictionary you can pronounce it both ways. Byzentine is therefore [bi'zaentain] or [bai'z-] and also [-tain] or [ti:n] (teen). Byzentium is pronounced [bi'zaentiam] or [bai'zentiam], and you can also pronounce the ending using the sh-sound from ie 'shower' : [bi'zaensham].

God I wish I could remember how to find that symbol alphabet on my keyboard... then I could use proper phonetic symbols. Hopefully it will get across anyway.

Dear Joe,

I'm writing to you from Istanbul-Turkey.

I'm a promoter here and I wanted to let you know that we really wanted to bring G3 here for a concert, unfortunately didn't get a positive response from your agent. I know it was a little late when we contacted him but we had been trying to reach him since there were no plans for a European tour. It's such a shame because you are coming very near here, to Poland and there is a big potential for your show, Steve Vai knows how enthusiastic Turkish audience is.

We also told your agent that we are interested in your solo show. He said there were no plans for a European tour yet and he will keep our request in records. I hope we don't experience the same thing again.

Anyway, I don't know if you will ever have time to read this but I just wanted to have a direct contact with you.

Hope you see my message... Take care and please know that you are wanted here, by us and by your fans...

Ozlem

A perfect example of why practice makes perfect......One night I broke a string mid-song and had to stop and change it real quick....well hell, the rest of the band fell apart like a well done pot roast :P I never imagined they could be so dependant on me.

Zenfish, I have focussed on marketing via the internet for about 6 years now and I have really been successful. This tour coming in a couple months will really develop a larger listening audience...Also this deal with TowerRecords selling the new CD is helping... ----------------------------------------------- JRQ - www.JonRobertQuinn.com

Joe, love the music and everything you have done with guitar. One thing ouzzles me, why do you never play the harmonic in 'Always with me always with you' live it sounds gorgeous on the album?

Keep on rocking.

Sorry.. I have to ask this, Joe how did you compromise or unify the guitar tunings with Yngwie during G3 concerts? doesn't he always play half-step( Eb) standard tunings?

Michelle Ahhhh, yeah I seem to remember some posting about that before - lol Thought you'd like the list below - ;-)

Why Guitars are better than women:

A guitar has a volume knob. If you break a guitar's G-string, it only costs 80p for a new one. You can make a guitar scream as loud as you want it to. You can unplug a guitar. Other people can play your guitar without it getting upset. You can finger a guitar in public and get applause, not arrested. You can make your guitar as tight as you want it just by turning a peg. If your guitar doesn't make sounds you like, you can retune it. You can use four fingers at a time on a guitar. If your guitar strings are too heavy, you can just get a lighter set. You can have a guitar professionally adjusted to your liking. If you scratch a guitar's back, it's unintentional, not required. You can go to a guitar shop and play all the guitars you want for free. It's good to have a guitar that's stretched out. You can take lessons on how to play a guitar without feeling embarrassed. You can play the guitar with your bare fingers and no protective covering. You can get rich playing a guitar, not broke. A guitar doesn't take half of everything you own when you sell it. A guitar doesn't care how many guitars you own.

Why women are better than guitars...

Women are more fun when the power goes out. You can't get your guitar wet. The input to a guitar is only 1/4" (ouch!) A guitar won't beg to be played. It's no fun to tie your guitar to a bed and spray whipped cream on it. When playing a guitar, you can use your teeth, but not your tongue. A guitar won't play you back. You need two hands to make a guitar scream. A guitar won't scratch your back. A guitar won't drive you home if you're too drunk. A guitar doesn't care who plays it. You can't play two guitars at once. Guitar lessons aren't free and aren't as much fun. You can't marry a rich guitar. Even a good guitar won't usually last a whole lifetime. Guitars don't taste very good

UF Dean: You don't suck man, not at all. I read you were considering a GNX3. Great choice, I've had one for almost three years now and it's the best money I've ever spent. I'm looking at the GNX4 because my unit is wearing out, buttons breaking and such. Should have gotten the optional foot controller thingy. Anyway, get one, you won't regret it.

Sorry I haven't been around much folks. I've been reading, but I've been a big ball of negative energy lately and don't want it to infect the board here so I've been quiet. I fell again the other day, no coma this time though, but my head has been ringing. Fell two more times getting up. No place on my head suitable to put on a pillow without pain tends to make you grumpy. Sometimes I wish I didn't have thse pretty hardwood floors all the way through my house. Anyway, enough belly aching. One thing I'd like to bring up is the lack of activity here. Maybe I was getting used to the three million posts a day or something and now it's back to normal but with only a week before Joe's new release I would expect a lot more going on here. I've still managed to not listen to any of the new clips yet, so I can be surprised when the disc shows up. I hope Sony doesn't let me down and ship late or whatever. Fingers crossed. Oh, Artanis I: Biz an teen and Biz an teen e um. What else....Miranda says Hello to all.

VF, here's my reply to your guitars are better than woman, sentence for sentence ~

A guitar has a volume knob. *duct tape* If you break a guitar's G-string, it only costs 80p for a new one. *go naked* You can make a guitar scream as loud as you want it to. *if your any good that is* You can unplug a guitar. *turn on the game - men seem to go deaf while watching it* Other people can play your guitar without it getting upset. *what you don't know won't hurt you* You can finger a guitar in public and get applause, not arrested. *they obviously don't call you Slick* You can make your guitar as tight as you want it just by turning a peg. *one word~! kegal* If your guitar doesn't make sounds you like, you can retune it. *a little to the left please* You can use four fingers at a time on a guitar. *only if her name is Loosey* If your guitar strings are too heavy, you can just get a lighter set. *roll her in some flour* You can have a guitar professionally adjusted to your liking. *it's called breast augmentation* If you scratch a guitar's back, it's unintentional, not required. *give and you shall receive* You can go to a guitar shop and play all the guitars you want for free. *it's called a trailer park* It's good to have a guitar that's stretched out. *wanna bet* You can take lessons on how to play a guitar without feeling embarrassed. *practice makes purrfect* You can play the guitar with your bare fingers and no protective covering. *marraige certificate* You can get rich playing a guitar, not broke. *can't take what ya don't have* A guitar doesn't take half of everything you own when you sell it. *you still had fun playing it* A guitar doesn't care how many guitars you own. *move to Utah*

Cheers Bil and Eva. I hate alternate pronunciations and spellings. Have a good one, all. Going to visit the family tomorrow (Easter holiday). Just about to submit my program complete with "partial correctness" proof. Stupid thing made me stay up after 10pm (due at midnight, in 30 minutes). Beddy byes, so I'll drop back in a few days.

Bil, dude rubber side down! Tell Miranda to go buy about 3 dozen big balloons filled with helium. Have her tie them under your arms. That way if you start to fall again, you'll just dangle and not hit the floor. Nah, in all seriousness, you're probably trying to do to much. Sit your ass down and rest for a few days. I know it's a pain in the ass, but if it helps it's worth it. Hope you're feeling better soon bro.

Michelle...thats funny as hell...lol...I only have issues with the "what they don't know, won't hurt them" thing....actually they ARE being hurt, they just don't know it YET....eventually everything comes out in the wash...lol ! My girlfriends co-worker just found out that her husband has been sleeping with his brothers recent ex-girlfriend. "Oh the tangled web we weave".....At least he had the nuts to confess it all.

Trutina.....take care Bro'...don't overdo it.
