Sammy Andrews - Robert Fripp opened one of the previous G3 tours...
Yannis - Hi...welcome back!
Desert Sun - Actually, it's a VERY big deal if CDs are released prior to the release date. If record companies find out about it, stores can get into huge trouble... This is probably just an isolated incident, though...so I don't think the store will get fined or anything like that.
neednewstrings - The JS 1200 is identical to the JS 1000 except it's a different color and it has a PAF Joe pickup instead of a PAF Pro pickup.
The guitar Joe is playing on the DVD is a custom-painted JS 1000. Look through Joe's past posts...I asked him about the guitar last year sometime, and he replied with a link to the artist's website.
JS JS - Welcome back!

I have a question for Joe and for anybody else who reads this message.... Has anyone heard of Ben Robinson??? He's a 17 year old guitarest who goes to my school in Temecula, California. In my opinion, he sounds like Stevie Ray too much. No doubt about it that he is really talented for his age and everything, but i think he should take on some different rifts. So again, has anyone heard of Ben Robison???????

Hi people! i'm new to this webpage, and i like it very very much, i like every section it has. Maybe i'm not gonna be posting a lot, but just u know, !i'm here!. I'm just 18 and i started listenning to joe's song since i was 16 (two years ago :P) and cant stop listening to it, as a matter of fact, im listening "summer song" right now, for me is one of his best songs. All of his songs are the best! and i would like to be like him...but i think i started playing guitar too late (at 16 the same year i heard joe satriani's songs) and i already wasted some time, also I'm studiying hard so i can't practice as much as i need, by the way, i read somewhere that Slash from Guns n' roses used to practice 12 hours a day...is that true? and how many hours did or does Joe satriani practices?, anyway people, ¿did I started too late? i mean joe was teaching at 14...thats what i read the other day...
I love the page, i love the look, and i love joe satriani's songs and the man too...! Thanks for giving such beautiful music to the world man !
I hope some one answer my questions...all of them if posible, !thanks!

Joe,
I am obsessed with your works and the guitar. If I'm not
listening to your music, im watching some video form of you playing; DVDs, computer clips, and if I'm not doing neither of them im trying to learn as much satriani as I can, sometimes with very little luck but I try none the less. I have a burning passion to learn guitar and play with such skill, speed and stamina as you display. I think all will agree when I say, your music is soothing in its own right, it's unique, and truly inspirational. I think its awsome that you find the time to read, appreciate, and even reply to fans comments on the website. I've never had the chance to see you play live as I'm in Australia and G3 doesnt seem to venture out this way too often unfortunately, which is a real kick in the guts because I wanted to get some gear signed as memorabilia. Do you think you could mail a signed picture or piece of paper to me in the mail (my address is on my profile). Haha crazy queston but worth an ask anyhow. If you could reply to this with a small message or such that would be excellent! Just to acknowledge that my message has reached you. I will continue learning guitar and having as much fun as I can with it for as long as you continue to be my idol.
Rock on Satch, Rock on...

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind-Wow, what a great movie.I just loved it.I love it when movies have you totally baffled, and sem to make no sense, and then one pice is revealed and it all makes sense.Jim Carrey is so under-rated as a serious actor.

JS Song Tournament
Only 23 people have voted in this round... :-( I received over 30 votes in each section of the last round. Come on, people...vote! Hehehe... We're almost at the end...
Click here to vote in Round 3.
If you didn't vote in the previous rounds, that's okay...you can still vote here... :-)
IbanezTrent160 - Yeah, I know who Ben Robinson is! WOW! I never thought I'd hear that name here... I used to live in Temecula, actually. He's a VERY cool guitarist. My good friend Cameron has played a few gigs with him...
I assume you're in high school...? Are you at Chaparral or TVHS?
Romanthony - Welcome to the site! It's never to late to start playing guitar. Joe played for about 12 hours each day when he first started... Don't worry if you don't have that much time to practice. Just stick with it...you'll get better over time.

hello joe satriani!

Why does everyone keep judging Robert Fripp before they've even heard him? I guess cuz it's someone that a lot of people haven't heard of, they just asume he's gonna be sh*t. Well....give him a break.....I swear he is gonna be f*ck*n awesome to watch, and Joe and Steve will be feeling privileged to be playing with him.
Delfino, every Good Friday is a bank holiday!
Satanzilla, no Joe is entirely responsible for the G3 selection process. Well sort of - he comes up with a bunch of people and then asks for a public opinion on which one would be best! So the fans don't really get to say who they want to see - they get to vote on which one of a preselected group they would like to see.
Which is good, cuz if we had it totally our own way, we would never see/hear anybody new. Chances are we'd just get petrucci or malmsteen again and again and again and againa and......
But there's no harm in saying things like Nuno Bettencourt For G3! or Eric Johnson For G3 again!
Romanthony, absolutely not amigo - it's never too late to start playing guitar! I know what you mean - I started when I was about 16 or so, and I'm now 20. I'm twice as good as I was 2 years ago, so don't worry - with practice and a good library of loads of different styles of music to listen to, you will find yourself feeling happier about it! It would be nice to be teaching at the age of 14, but that's why there's only a few people in the world sharing the same status as Joe Satriani! Keep on rockin dude, and by the way, welcome to t2j!

Austin: I think I have talked Miranda into voting on this round if that's cool. She doesn't know all the songs so I'll be letting her listen to all of them so she can make a fair decision. I won't coach her too bad lol.
Zenfish: How could we not? There are so many great artists I think we'd have to like at least some of the same ones lol. I don't mean to pry, but tell us a little about yourself. You never really say much about you, as far as what you like to do, or what kind of work you do and the like.
Mr Nick: It was either the commies or the dragons. I say we blow them both up just incase lol

godguns - playing with a lot of pressure means that you could find that you lose a little agility and speed... try to grip just a little less and let me know if it makes a difference in your playing...
tastey - If I recall correctly, you guys in the US get a few more public holidays across the year than us in the UK.. so you guys win in the end.. lol..
sammy - when you're trying to learn G-Everywhere, take your time.. if you get stuck just shout..
phryg - wow... you surprise me.. you never struck me as a 'soldiering type'..
