anyone who is good at math and story problems and stuff please help me with this!!

Over his entire baseball career Babe Ruth averaged 8.5 home runs for every 100 official at-bats.  Suppose he had 4 official at-bats in a game.  What was the probablility that he would hit exactely 2 home runs in the game?  What was the probability taht he would hit exactel 3 home runs in the game?

this is probalby easy for whoever helps me but math is my worst subject. thanks for any help...

Hey, All I know is that last night my mom got an email from meadowbrook (a place I never even knew existed!!!) and said "DEEP PURPLE, JOE SATRIANI, and Thin Lizzy" (weird that satch is in caps....too) will have an intimate performance in the pavilion theater August 13th 2004 at 6:45 pm. I was really shocked when I heard this, Satch, in NH? Well I guess we will have to wait for the Webmaster to post some more info. Cya guys later, Im off to listen to Is There Love in Space for the 6th time today lol.

Ah Mr.GreyFox we think alike. I am planning for some drums to come in just after where the MP3 finishes, then there will be some distortion over it, then hopefully some soloing and fundamentals of rock. I'll add some reverb tomorrow see how that sounds...good suggestion :-)

Do The Stu: What are you waiting for? Ask her out! She probably thougth that if you liked her, you would have asked by now. That's just my thinkin an I'm a female! I hope it's helpful! Good luck!

Museman: People that charge 250% more than the ticket price really PISS ME OFF! It's the real fans that have to suffer. I lost 150.00 on 2 tickets for Neil Young because people thought they would make a living off of Scalping! I have maybe made 10 bucks on tickets, I just try to cover my costs! The tickets cost so much now anyway. Oh well, there will always be greed.

Sword 1: Welcome to the Satch Realm! I am one that loves ITLIS and I really loved what you had said! This is a great place to be! I am so greatful to have found T2J! I know you will love this place also!

IceZer I totally I agree with you, until a few years ago I hadn't heard anything by Joe...although I had heard of him through the Ibanez website. Now I can honestly say Joe is my guitar idol along with Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tom Morello and ofcourse Jimi Hendrix.

Janice I agree with you, Joe acutually did save instrumental back int eh 80's. in 87 Surfing With the Alien came out and it acutally put instrumental back on the radio. I'm not exacetly sure but I think Surfing With the Alien has sold more copies than any instrumental album ever. I know for sure that is platinum. anyway, I also know for sure that its awsome. Surifin' is probalby one of my all time favorite songs ever! I love it! anyway, I agree with you.

Joeman9 This is how I became a Satchoholic I've known and liked Joe since the 90's, but this concert 2 years ago really did it for me. NOTHING can compare to seeing Joe in the flesh. It's like being in a dream. I don't know how many times I've said that. ; )

JS JS - By now Surfing is Triple Platinum. If not, it's Double for sure.

Delfino Pie: If it was my situation, I would find an area that I liked! There is NOTHING worse than dreading going home! Due to a person or a location! "Home IS Where Your Heart Is!" i've been there my friend! On both ends! I've lived in an area I hated for a job and drove "home 3 weekends a month!" (2 hours each way)Then I moved in with the S**head and it was no longer a pleasure being with a contol freak.I was in my home area though! The things that we think will make us happy are so different that the things that actually DO make us happy! I hope this helps you my friend! I would love for my experience to make things easier for You and anyone else that confronts this situation!

Matt Martinez I knew that it would probably be by now, but I didtn know for sure, I know that it went gold and then platinum quickly back then. its cool that it could be so poplular with out a single word. people at shcool always make fun of me for listening to music without words. they think it boirng, I just tell them that they would have to be a musician and have a musician's ear to understand. the musicians I know like it of course. they know what its all about. the others dont know what they're missing.

marimariSRV Thanks for the advice, I wish I had enough authority to do something, my parents don't seem to listen...infact they seem to get sick of me telling them about how much I hate it and its making me depressed.

They just don't seem to take me seriously, and that is adding to my problems really. I'm going to work extra hard over the next few years to get some excellent qualifications and some musical experience under my belt. That way if I don't make it as a musician straight away I will be earning a high amount of money (hopefully) developing computer games.

GreyFox Thanx for lyrics I appreciate the help :-)

Joeman9 I dont expect you to. it is probalbility when the chances of what happens arent 50%. for example if you flip a coin, the chances of getting heads is 50% same for the chances (probability) of getting tails. this is with two things but uneven odds. I know how to do it cuase we have been doing it for today and yesterday but I dont know how to set this problem up. its ok though cuase we are gonna go over it tomorrow and then turn it in. anyway, did you see that i passed my written for my drivers test?! tomorrow I am gonna take the drive test! if I pass I can get my license! wish me luck!

I think I am gonna play guitar for a while before Band of Brothers comes on.

Is it just me or is it tiring on the fingers to play Dust in the Wind with only one guitar?

Stu Hamm shreddin' off of GNAAHH's Bass line for G3/ promo tour!

??? explain!

imjon/mrnick
douglas adams = one of my all time fav writers :)

JS_JS
8.5 of 100, that's a 100% chance... if out of 100 he can get 8.5, then out of 4 he gets 8.5/25 (9/50th).
this is still at 100% occurence, he will get .18 homeruns for every 4 at bats. now that i hope i've shown you most of the setup, you just need to do some multiplication to find how the probability decreases as .18 moves up to 2 and 3.

It would probably be more proper to say GNAAHH's bass line for G3 or Matt Bissonette(sp?) riffin' off of GNAAHH's bass line for G3 or the same but for Stu Hamm cuz I really liked the hoedown and the slow parts to Bass Solo on LISF.
