Well, STu Clone, I hope stays away from playing Satch Boogie and the regular stuff he plays all the time. I want to hear stuff like Why or crying or Motocycle driver, You saved my life, What breaks a heart, UWSG, Engines of creation, LOH, secret prayer....Joe, you have a hell lot good stuff! Why not play those for a change?

OCPS: I will give that a try fro sure. Also, any tips on tuning the floyd rose? Floyd rose and me just dont get along anymore. Also, do you play any metal? Like Megadeth, Testament??? Thanks!

Greyfox88: Go to the strip clubs or the bars. Tease and please.

iTunes Question: Is iTunes just for Mac or can the rest of us suffering under the tyranny and oppression of Bill Gates get hooked up as well?

TASTEY: Warm Regards is a wonderful song, isn't it? Gets me every time, even after all of these years.

bluebuffalo: Mike and Brian aren't on in my area. Would you happen to know of a net station that broadcasts them?

962: Steve Stevens is awesome! I was hooked on his playing after hearing him on Merry Axemas II. Flamenco a GoGo is really great, and it's an enhanced cd with a video of the live track on there, which is very cool.

Zenfish: You haven't broken that thing yet lol? Hope you get it sorted soon.

rusty dog: I didn't know about the project with Bozzio and Levins, I'll have to order that, thanks. With those players, it's bound to kick a bit.

Delfino Pie: Use rubbing alcohol then polish the neck with a furniture polish to restore the moisture.

noyou: I've heard both ways as far a Joe's live sound. Some people really love it and others just hate it. Seems to vary from venue to venue, so maybe if he plays somewhere else, go see him there and see if it's better. If not, then you'll know you don't like his live sound at all.

Well, today was interesting. Finally went in for my long overdue MRI, and for the first time, got all claustrophobic as soon as they put me in. I've had about five of these things and have never had a problem, but this was a different place and the machine was a little different. Generally, I just shut my eyes as soon as I lay down, before them put the camera unit on my head or anything and never even know I'm back there. Well, as the table was going into the machine, my shoulders brushed up against the sides and it just flipped me out. Couldn't breathe, hitting the panic button before I was even all the way in. Finally got calmed down and made it thru with no problems, once I pulled my arms in a little closer. Then I had fun getting an EEG performed. Hair is still all gooped up from all the electrodes. I assume the little lines on the screen mean I have some sort of brain function lol.

Quote of the day: "I'm going to put this 1,000,000 watt light bulb three inches from your face and it's going to blink 21 times per second while I record your brain waves. Please don't squint." EEG Specialist Lady

Edit: Mikey Vai: Did you see this?

Hello Joe, i am 23 and from the uk..... i would like to tell you that i have just recieved your new album ''Is there love in space?'' and i felt that i had to share my thoughts and feelings on your new album......you have seriously surpassed yourself with this album, .....your tone, feeling, emotion, energy and melodys on this album goes beyond any words. I have never been so blown away by your compositions on this album, i adore your music Joe....it takes me to another place where NOTHING else takes me....your music expresses every thing i feel as a human being and that is something very special indeed. I believe your music will live forever because your melodys are so strong, and even if this planet was not here, your music would live on somewhere in the universe, i am sorry if that sounds a bit crazy but i truly think that it would....thank you Joe for your very special music and for executing such a beautiful album on every level......i hope you get to see this, as i would love you to know how i feel about you and your music......all the very best Joe, and keep writing those wonderful songs.......Gavin........

I was overcome with joy and glory when I received today's newsletter. Hurray for Joe! I already preordered the CD and went full of expectations to the tour page. Finally, finally I will be able to see the man who made me finally pick up a guitar :) But as the page loaded, my what-a-wonderful-world was shattered into bloody pieces of everlasting agony...

No shows in germany? You can't be serious! You just.. can't! :( Please say that the list isn't final. Please say that there are more shows to come. Please, I'm begging you! Or I won't be able to die happy....

Joe- This is the first time I've posted on here, but I'm proud to be a part of the site. I listen to your work all the time, and when I saw you in Boise for the Strange Beautiful Music tour, I was really impressed at your performance. Thanks for playing Crushing Day, one of my favorite tunes. I kinda felt like I was the only one cheering during a lot of the songs, but it's such a small venue anyway, and I'm sure there were other people making a lot of noise too. Anyhoo, I can't wait to pick up the new studio album and G3 dvd. The Live In San Francisco dvd was jaw-dropping, to say the least. Thanks for all your hard work, and please come to Boise when you get back to the States!

Dave

Do The Stu, et al - I'll be at Tower on Sunset tomorrow. I guess I qualify as a lurker here. :) I was there at 8:30am yesterday waiting in line to pick up my copy of the CD and wristband. Can't wait to see Joe! Judging from the pictures that were posted, it looks like yesterday it was just Joe, no band. Did he have a recording for the rest of the band that he played with, or was it just guitar?

As for the CD itself, I've had a chance to listen to it about 3 times so far. While it does initially sound a lot like Strange Beautiful Music Part 2, I can hear definite differences and the bluesy influences are starting to jump out a little more with this one. Great, amazing stuff. Early favorites include Gnaahh, If I Could Fly, Lifestyle, I Like The Rain. I can tell that Searching will be like Time was from Crystal Planet - grows and grows on you until it's your favorite of the album. Not a single bad track, many thanks to Joe for sharing yet another amazing piece of work with us!

trutina - iTunes is available for both Mac and Windows. Go to http://www.itunes.com/ and download. A little trick if/when you buy a song from the iTunes Store - burn it to CD and then re-rip the track to MP3 or whatever you like. Then you can listen to it anywhere, not just in iTunes or iPod (though I love my iPod, why you would want to listen with anything else is beyond me). :)

Also speaking of Steve Stevens, his "Flamenco a go go" is one of my all time favorite albums. But I never knew it was an enhanced CD with the video. Guess I'll have to drag the CD out of storage and check that out! :)

Hey Joe. I just watched the latest G3 DVD and absolutely loved it! You always look like you're having a ball when you're playing, it made me pick up my guitar as well. It cannot be helped! I had the pleasure of seeing you live in Australia back in the early 90's on your 'Flying in a blue dream' tour, but haven't seen you since. Are there any plans in the near future to return? Take care and have fun, Steve

I got my autographed cd in the mail today. I though the cd was 'okay' definaly not his best work. It's an album that's going to have to grow on me. His sound is more 'organic' I don't like the tone mostly, it seems flatter. I mean, I like some of the stuff but you can tell it's Satch, it sounds mostly the same from different points on his other albums. It was ok though. It felt like an afterthough of SBM and Engines mixed together. It was ok though, don't flame me though.
