A whole boatload of posts to go through. A few thoughts on some very old, recurring arguments.

re: Yngwie Yngwie is Yngwie. He's happy doing what he does. His fans are happy. Let him do his thing.

re: Joe playing the same stuff over and over live: I think Joe feels obligated to play those songs. If I go to see the Stones, and they don't play You Can't Always Get What You Want, I'm gonna be pissed. If I go see Ozzy and he doesn't play Crazytrain, I'm gonna pissed. If I go to see Rush and they don't play Closer to the Heart, I'm gonna be pissed. Joe selects his set lists for the silent majority that fills out their requests here, but doesn't necessarily post all the time. The casual fans. The other 84,000 some odd fans on this site.

re: Political Parties: They both suck. They are so afraid of each other, they keep getting further away. The left is way left and the right is way right. Leaves those of us in the middle with nothing. Unfortunately, that's where most of us are. Standing here alone, feeling we aren't being represented. At some point we have to make a choice, and either which way is a mistake.

OK, off the soapbox for a minute. Gonna catch up on all posts that actually mean something to me. Question: Why do they call it a soapbox? Is that the only box you are allowed to step on to address a group of people? Why not a box books? Seems like it would be more stable.

Hi Joe,

thanks for informing about latest tour dates across Europe! I don't know if this has been asked already, but there is currently NO date planned in Germany?! Is there something in the plans, or don't you like to go to Germany (kiddin) any more? It would be really great seeing you on tour in Germany, I think there are many fans feeling the same.

Thanks for your kind answer,

Bernd (loyal fan for more than 15 years!)

hi guys.

could anyone give me your opinion about :What's rockmusic mean to you? Sounds little foolish but.. I was gonna do a brief presentation about this but...it doesn't matter anymore. Now I just want to hear your opinion, that's all...

By the way, I really eager to see G3 with the followong guy: Marty Friedman,Gary Moore or even Zakk Wylde, perhaps someday...??

ethn - dude you're not the only one... EOC and SBM just didn't flick my switches... yes they had their moments but in general they didn't do it for me...

but despite this, I am still an avid fan and I'll no doubt go get the new CD when it's released here.. I'll still go to the gigs, get the t-shirt and act like a teenage starstruck mong when I see him walk on to the stage.. lol..

artanis - I'm going to try really hard to live long enough to complete this album... and if I'm really lucky, I may even live long enough to complete the next one.. lmao..

satchblues & noyou Thanks for the help. I'm gonna check it out when I get a chance.

YaYo: I don't know if you should feel embarrassed for Joe. I'm pretty sure that Joe wouldn't do anything he didn't really want to do. It sounds like there were a hell of a lot of people there so I'd call it a success. I see your point, but just not sure I agree.

Mikey Vai: Thanks, I've been waiting to have this MRI done for several weeks. Resheduled twice. Annoying shit. Also, I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't ordered Guitar Wars. I know. I'll go find it now. Better than LATA? I'll order it right now!

mikesb: Yeah, Stevens is a monster player, and like you said, has great note selection. I saw you mention interviewing him once, a long time ago from what you said. Any chance of us reading that, maybe via email or something?

Austin: Cool, I think I'll be ok, I'm on XP. No luck finding a net station, oh well. Thanks man.

Ethn: I believe you are responsible for getting Joe to play Time Machine on that tour. We just helped you out some. How's that for service? Ask and ye shall receive. Also, don't feel bad about criticizing Joe here. The man is a professional and wants to hear everyone's opinions, good and bad. When you play something for someone, you don't want them to say, "Oh yeah that rocks, keep it up" if they don't really think so. You'd much rather get constructive criticism, telling you what they do and don't like. Joe's the same as any of us guitarists. He's just looking for feedback on what he's done.

michelle: Yeah, a six pack! Why not? I'll ask Miranda what she thinks when she come home from work. I may need your help convincing her lol. And yeah, I was very embarrassed by the whole MRI incident. Never had that happen before. They let Miranda come in and stand down by my feet so that I could see her in the little mirror thingy. I guess that's a good reason for her not to be pregnant. They wouldn't have let her do it if that was the case.

Megaboyd: If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. YOU SUCK! That's it, I'm moving to the Bay Area. Joe doesn't come within 500 miles of me and you see him twice in a week.

Joe: Don't you need someone to work for you, maintaining your motorcycles or something? I can hook you up. Tune up your bikes, tune up your guitars, whatever. I'm game. I work cheap too!

Clarky: Over here in the states, labor doesn't hurt as much. That's cause we take the U out of it lol.

bytorsnow: Hey, a fellow Rush fan, and a Hoosier too! Joe's gonna be on Bob and Tom? That'll be cool. Where's the appearance at and when?

Trutina, well said on Yngwie, I don't get why people slag him off because 'he just shreds' anyway. That's like slagging Metallica off cos 'they only play metal'. That's what they do, it's called their genre!! He has had a great career, it's still going strong, he has millions of fans, and gets to play sell-out shows all over the world. I don't know about the rest of you but I would glady swap if all it meant was seeling my soul to the art of shred! If people don't like him fair enough, but everyone should at least respect his remarkable talent. Take it or leave it really, same as anything else....

Yesterday, University scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. Men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption. The theory is that beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women.

To test the theory, 100 men were fed 8 pints of beer each within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects:

1) Gained weight. 2) Talked excessively without making sense. 3) Became overly emotional. 4) Couldn't drive. 5) Failed to think rationally. 6) Argued over nothing. 7) Had to sit down while urinating. 8) Refused to apologize when obviously wrong.

No further testing was considered necessary.

Settle down people, it's just a joke :)

Hi Joe & and all viewing this site! I'm glad that you're (finally) going to play in Europe this summer! But - why are you not going to play e.g. in the Czech Republic, where I come from, or at least in Germany, Austria and so on? Your fans from the Central Europe are willing to watch your appearance somewhere more in the nearby than in Paris 1000 km far :-) We've been waiting and longing for your concert so long! Thanks for any answer (the best would be a change in your shedule :-)

joe,

i'm listening to the new album as i write this and as expected, it's great. i was just wondering if you have ever had the inclination to do a solo acoustic album? speaking for myself only of course, i'd love to hear it.

thanks for all the music and inspiration.

Clarky san: hahaha, ROTFLMAO man, I had to re-read your post a second time to see exactly what you wrote, lol, and I can hear it now.... Let's get ready to RUMBLE, Yoi!!.... haha, I'm happy for ya man, you have got that pesky Red AW16 figured out!!....

I think all you'll have to do now is use quick little submission moves to get it to think your way, lol, and I was also thinking.... You need to keep notes on the mixes and add them (mix# etc.) to the liner notes below the tracks so everyone can see the painstaking time you took to put out Clarky's product!!.... I know what the original sounds like, so I'm sure the new mixes are gonna blow me away!!.... Yoi.... Kumite bro!!....

Artanis I: Mwahahaha.... I am Mikey VAI, lol, that other guy works for me.... For I am his Shogun, hahaha ;-)

trutina: lol man, glad to see all is going well, and I also notice your writing is much more eloquent!!.... Miranda sure is taking care of you bro!! ;-) Oh, and Guitar Wars is better than LATA!!!! Damn yes!!.... The packaging is cheesy, but the contents are AWESOME!!!! You will feel like your in the front row, and the camera work is brilliant!!!!.... It comes with a bonus cd, but you can throw that in the trash because you'll never have time to get to it with the dvd on your mind, lol!!....

michelle: haha, lol, LMMFAO!!!!.... That is so true, lol, I gotta pass that one on, hehe ;-) BTW, hope your over the cold!!....

Well, I got a break in the action, and tomm. is Friday.... I got the weekend off to boot, lol!!.... Although.... Next week is back to the grind.... Bring on the weekend people!! ;-)

....btw, this is the Guitar Wars DVD w/ bonus cd.... Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Hackett, John Paul Jones.... Is that not enough, or do I gotta say that Nuno plays the drums in the end!! ;-)

BTW, it is Region 2.... Check around for a Region 1 (US) version if you dont have an all region player....
