VFRrocker: Kuul man, you'll love Steve's music!!.... Put Guitar Wars on that list too, cause Nuno, Paul and the whole gang just ROCK!!.... Did I mention that Nuno goes off at the end of Cupid's Dead and adds a little of Eruption in there??.... Oh, and after watching Paul's solo on Viking Kong, he tell's the fans: Paul F'ing Gilbert!!.... hehe ;-) Have a great week man!!....

Powerslave214: I hear ya man on the "no-stigma" issue with manga and the like, lol, the only thing I dont like is the adult comics are easily accessable by kids and they can be very graphic.... Parents need to watch what their children buy.... btw, hehe, Kobe Beef is as good as it's reputation bro, lol, and it's eaten on very rare occasions.... It's great to watch the kamikaze chefs prepare it in front of you!! ;-)

Clarky: Sounds great man, and good idea about recording a mix without the lead so you can practice over it.... I agree on who cares what others think of the mix, and like you said, you know what you can get out of the machine.... Your giving it your best, and you cant ask for anything more than that, lol, I'm sure it's going to sound great!!

btw, have fun with Requiem!!.... Definately one of my faves!!....

Mr Nick: Stay kuul man, and dont be a stranger!! ;-)

Do The Stu: Thank's for the pics....

alexandrecaetano: Good to see you bro!! :-) Have a great weekend!! :-) :-)

/\/\/\R|<: hehe, LMAO on B-head being Gilberto, lol!! ;-)

Joe was wondering your views on Vintage Guitars? I work in a music store and my boss sold you a Danelectro Baritone. Being an Ibanez player the necks on your JS's are definatly different than alot of Vintage Guitars we have at the store so was wondering if you enjoyed them for their "value" as kinda historic peices of the music industry or if you just love old guitars like we do.

jazzy boy: Cool man, good to hear. Sometimes you just gotta let it out lol.

actinic200: Probed twice. lmao

drafter40: When did you go from 37 to 40? Did I miss three years somewhere lol?

Alexandre: Miranda and I are doing great, thanks for asking. Any work on your album lately?

UF Dean: LOL, well that's the way it worked for me!

Joeman9: Definitely still friends. Disagreements are to be learned from. Hopefully, between the flaming shitballs flying thru here you caught some of the good points, which it sounds like you have, which is cool.

death cube K: Gilbert used to have a section on his website that was simply titled, "No, I'm not Buckethead" lol.

SupaaDave: The thing I can't get out of my head it that damned bassline from Gnaahh!!! It's infected me, my head bobbing relentlessly to this groove. In the grocery store, listening to Muzak, still doing the Gnaahh Bob. Mowing the yard listening to 5.5 horsepower of fury, still doing the Gnaahh Bob. In the bathroom listening to, uhh, well you know what I'm listening to, still doing the Gnaahh Bob. I'd be in real trouble if I hadn't been properly trained to raise the seat lol!

Trutina, Ya Yo Gakk:

I must admit when I first got a guitar (Kramer) with a Floyd, I was frustrated for over a year with it. But EVH was the man back then and I wanted to play his music, so I had to “endeavor to persevere” (heard that in a Clint Eastwood movie). Now I do it without even thinking about it, and I usually get it tuned on the first time through. But there are those "times of the month" when the humidity, or the "moon isn’t right", or there is a "hormone imbalance", or one of my sweeties "doesn’t feel special any more" and then the battle is on. The “spankin” begins. But this is fairly rare, because I have the special touch you see. The guitars at these “special moments” can be difficult, you know with all six strings and all. With the wife however there is only one string and…well, I better not go there, I do remember what almost happened to you Bil. (;-O)LOL. “No fury like a woman’s scorn” is the phrase I believe I am looking for, I am sure Michelle or Tastey will correct me here if I am wrong, but we are always wrong aren‘t we Bil ;-)))

SOTD: Just between you and me, by April Wine/ Nature of the Beast. Sing it to her, it works everytime ;-) (Does that make me old or what???)

But yes I can sympathize with those who would rather deal with just a fixed bridge or as we call them hard tails.

Hey those are some great pictures I am seeing with all the lucky ones and Joe. The closest Joe is getting to my area is Dallas but that is still a 9 hour drive or so. I will have to wait for the ITLIS tour I guess. It is so cool that Joe takes this time to play and sign autographs for his fans in a small venue as I see in the pics. If time would allow I believe Joe would go to every big city and do this. Two thumps up Joe!!!!

I am mixing sound for the V-Tones tomorrow, 4-17-04. It has been awhile wish me luck.

I am seeing a lot of opinions hear on things, glad to see things calming a bit. As a Christian I will only say I believe everyone needs CHRIST in there lives as their savior. I will let any convictions and condemnations come from HIM.

On the political scene. I believe this is easy. The major goal is world government. Conservative, Liberal, Republican, Democrat, or what ever. These are all philosophical paths that all lead off in different direction, but all end up at the same place. Just different ways to achieve world government. There will come a time when those who are for it will have to contend with those who are against it. I believe it will not be pretty. IMHO of course.

Peace, all……………..Clint

Clarky: I thought so haha! I had an inkling that bop guys were visualizing a chord shape on the fret board and limiting themselves to those options. It's interesting, I used to think that jazz was wide open and freeing, but after looking at the inner workings of bebop, it's readily apparent that you have less freedom...it seems that you must hit the right few notes because you'll be gone and onto a new chord in half a bar.

G'day. Just (finally) got hold of Living Sacrifice's "Conceived In Fire" album. Yes, yes, yes!!! Thanks to Mandy and Jon for getting it for me!

This was their last CD before they were forced into premature "indefinite" retirement last year. It's really really sad because I'll never get the chance to experience it live, and neither will anyone else anymore.

It's full on modern death metal (diggadiggadigga bass drum, heavy riffs, gruff vocals, complex drums and altering time signatures) along with mad guitar noises and leads here and there. Perfect for a 6AM wakeup call.

Hi Joe,

Just bought your latest cd "Is There Love In Space" I've been a fan of yours since the early beginning. The cd is very good. When I listen to track number 10 "Searching", I can't remember heard anything like it since I discovered Jimi Hendrix 35 year ago. Keep up the good work :-)

All the best!

g'day joe. How are you ? I am a first time visitor to your website but have been a fan since "Surfing..".I saw you play here in perth Western Australia while you were touring for "flying in a blue dream". I dragged my brother along and a great time was had.As you may well remember,Perh is very isolated from the rest of oz let alone the rest of the world.I was fortunate enough to see steve vai back in 2000 I think when he toured here and that was also fun.Is he as out there as a person as his playing? or does he let loose only when playing?Anyhow this is a letter to you.I've been playing guitar for about 5 yrs and although I don't play as much as I should I do try and play once a day.I purchased a copy of G3 2 days back and what a mind bender.Well wicked.Well that is all for now. I hope to here from you.that would be awesome. I bet you are flat out with your new cd out. falky.
