Kell, Cube and others, I second and third on Mr. verheyen. He is a monster. He is probably the absolute best teacher I have seen on an instructional as well. I love his linear approach to playing, it gives him some uniqueness to be sure (only other guy i can think of who tries for a totally linear style is David Chastain). He can quite convincingly clone EJ, Satch and SRV as well as evidenced on his solo albums. As someone mentioned, another one of those studio kings. I would add Dann Huff to that list with Landau, Luke and Carl.

Just watched Runaway Jury. I think that Gene Hackman is perhaps the best actor ever. he is always phenomenal.

Don't have the new album yet but cannot wait. Amazing, since meeting Joe backstage in Toronto on November 6th 2003, I (with the new album) will have five new items to be signed the next time I am lucky enough to see him!! Electric anthology, Satch tapes, G3 Live CD and DVD, plus the new album!!! A pretty prolific amount of product in 4-1/2 months!!

UF DEAN-Yeah, I know.I just can't get over how awesome the second one was.Its like denial...HOW the fuck did they mess up such a great thing? The 2nd matrix set up some brilliant stuff, and they just took the easiest way out.It was just lame.I think ANYBODY could have made the 3rd one work with the way they had it set up after the 2nd one, I just cannot believe it.Oh well!

YAYO-Yeah, I think I have read about that guy in guitar World years ago, he had an accident and part of one finger was grafted on to another, thats why his pinky looks so fucked.

Maybe its just me, but I would have guessed he could stretch a lot further than that, given how long his pinky is.

Hello again everyone out there. A few hours before I wished everyone happy easter, but things change quickly in life and this easter is now turning to a very sad one for me..... one of my best friends died tonight..... very hard.... but like Steve Vai´s song tells everybody you´ve got to Die to live but Show must go on..... there some things in life you can´t change.....but you can just look up - a new day is dawning.....

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Hope all had a pleasant Easter too!

michelle I hope you feel better soon! To pass the time you could imagine all the things you're gonna do to that treacherous little bunny once you get your hands on him. Like putting him in a large pot of boiling water, along with some spices, carrots and white wine, and then inviting all the kids in the neighbourhood over for dinner.

Kell Thanks and no worry :) I hope you and your son enjoy the clinic!

Joeman Hi there, how are ya'? Cool about the cd's you ordered, you're gonna have a blast. I watched the G3-dvd last night, on MY OWN dvd-player lol. It was awesome.

SOTD: Anything with Frank Zappa

Bye bye now, bye bye, bye bye....

Edit: Tune, I'm so sorry for your loss. Take care.

I started listening to your music 16 years ago and have been hooked on it ever since it's so relaxing, like the sounds of marine life under the waves in another world. Keep up the good work you are the greatest guitarist in my books. Do you associate your music with nature (flora or fauna)????.

Just though I'd post this to let everyone know about an up and coming band, who sound great and claim all of their music, the influence of Joe satriani.

20 Types You Meet in the Men's Room

1) Excitable -- Shorts half-twisted around, cannot find hole, rips shorts. 2) Sociable -- Joins friends in piss whether he has to or not. 3) Cross-eyed -- Looks into the next urinal to see how the other guy is fixed. 4) Timid -- Cannot piss if someone is watching, flushes urinal, comes back later. 5) Indifferent -- All urinals being used, pisses in sink. 6) Clever -- No hands, fixes tie, looks around, usually pisses on floor. 7) Worried -- Not sure of where he has been lately, makes quick inspection. 8) Frivolous -- Plays stream up, down and across urinal, tries to hit flies and bugs. 9) Absent-Minded -- Opens vest, pulls out tie, pisses in pants. 10) Childish -- Pisses directly in bottom of urinal, likes to see it bubble. 11) Sneaky -- Farts silently while pissing, acts very innocent, knows man in other stall will be blamed. 12) Patient -- Stands very close for a long time, reads with free hand. 13) Desperate -- Waits in long line, teeth floating, pisses in pants. 14) Tough -- Bangs dick on side of urinal to dry. 15) Efficient -- Waits until he has to crap and does both. 16) Fat -- Backs up and takes a blind shot at urinal, pisses in shower. 17) Little -- Stands on box, falls in, drowns. 18) Drunk -- Holds left thumb in right hand, pisses in pants. 19) Disgruntled -- Stands for a while, gives up, walks away. 20) Conceited -- Holds two-inch dick like baseball bat.
