Tastey I think I'm just feeling down in general, I wanna' go the Staffordshire University to study Computer Game Design, but I think it might be too far and cost to much :-(.

Michelle Well in the words of Jimi Hendrix "Well atleast I still got ma' guitar"... :-)

jeff buckley, hallelujah....love that song...so peaceful(and yes, i had to look that up for spelling...lol)

i know i said this once already, but how stupid was i to order ITLIS from overstock.com just cuz the shipping was $1, cuz it aint gonna be signed. oh well...i guess its not the same as getting it face to face with Joe anyways....

delfinopie: im sure you can work it out somehow, have you tried everything? anyways...try to be open minded, when one door closes, another one opens, or whatever they say...lol

Tastey I suppose I could commute to Staffordshire instead of living at the Uni, which would cost a lot more. :-)

Or theres the best alternative of all, learn to drive lol.

tastey - I will be hurrying back in a few more days.. my work in the Nortel labs went well - eventually.... so I'm all done now.. this weekend is a public holiday.. Fri thru Mon.. so I'll be back in the office Tuesday..

I'll mail you on Tuesday...

wow... I got to see the chick to the right.... she's such a babe.. completely stunning...

phryg - 14 Int... if you know what it is then I need not explain.. and if you don't then it's not your place to know.. sorry bro.. it's a crap answer I know.. but if you know what I'm talking about then you'll understand...
godguns - best wishes to your wife....

your stamina issue regarding playing your exercise... it may well be a technique centric issue.. although I've obviously never seen you play.. either way.. here's my best guess..

in my view, the most common cause of stamina, pain, tiredness is too much pressure when fretting a note.. think in terms of playing by applying just about enough pressure to make the notes sound cleanly.. this means fingering as close as you can to the fret the string must make contact with but without touching it.. you'll then notice that the amount of pressure required is minimal... you then adjust your technique to play with the least amount of effort...

imagine stamping as you run... you'll tire quickly and you'd never reach your potential top speed.. a heavy pressure when fretting is essentially the same..

Thanks Michelle

Chris Leblanc, a friend of mine, who's sister married my first cousin, whom I introduced to each other at one of Chris’s gigs. Anyway, he has 3 CDs out. The lucky sucker got 2 big time gigs. He is opening for Buddy Guy in Anchorage Alaska in June. He is then going to open for none other than ZZ Top and Hank Jr. on the 26th of June in Beaumont, Texas. We are going to try to make this show it is about a 4 hour drive from where we live.

Chris is heavily influenced by SRV, and Hendrix. He is the best coverer of the two I have ever heard. You can check out his web site here.

If you like the styles of the pre-Van Halen players the you will like The Chris Leblanc Band. Check him out………………………………...............................Peace, Clint

Hey Clarky, I do play heavy with pressure at times I will pay more attention to this. Thanks

LOL Austin! A ton of bricks? Hmm... might be worth investigating. Or at least I could persuade all my friends to buy their copies of ITLIS at the same and not having to pay the shipping.

Michelle, F' the F'in F'ers! LOL! Yeah, I was very annoyed, so much that I had to go out and kick the mailman. He looked very surprised, but I felt much better afterwards lol. And thanks for the birthday wish, although it's not until Saturday. Easter Eve, ya' know. *wink* Oh, and did you hear that Granola is dating Charlton Heston these days? Nothing like a vintage male, I tell ya'. LOL!

Clarky, good to see you back again. Trutina, where you at?? Edit: Oh there you are, good. :)

ebay and paypal... man... they just kick ass. nuff said!
got payments coming in and will be able to pick up a power conditioner tomorrow i'm betting. will order a rack drawer through musiciansfriend (surprisingly, better prices THERE on a 4U drawer than on ebay) next week or so and will then have almost completed my rack rig ;)

after that, all it needs is a swank tuner, and a super duper wireless system (not till i'm really rich, cuz i MEAN a super duper one!)... having a really great one will be awesome.

I just finished typing a very long, detailed post, thanking many, telling a couple funny little stories, sending out good will and just smiling all the way thru. And then, as I was typing in the quote of the day, the power goes out. Not for very long. Just long enough for me to have lost everything. Just down the street is a power company truck with a dude up in the hoist evidently fixing something. I think I'm gonna kick his ass when he comes down.

Well, I was getting ready to start the whole post over again, but I just can't right now. Anyways, thanks to everyone for the well wishes, you all rock and you know it. I particularly like the afro idea lol. And I'm gonna have Miranda take me to some pawn shop or yard sale or something so I can buy an old microwave and try out Mr. Nick's trick lol. I want to very badly for some reason, but I don't think it'll fly in the house.

Let's see, what can I remember? Oh yeah:

Austin: You didn't realize Mike was CIA? Sure man, that's the real T2J story behind the posts from Wolfie. Wolfie would post in code, Mike would read them here, and then he'd respond in a similar code over on the Winger site. If you see the words, "Yellow dog barks at white, hovering Pontiac" from either of them, seek shelter immediately. Oh, I still haven't gotten an email from Sony yet. I didn't order until the 19th, so maybe that has something to do with it. And, I won't be caving in. I'm strong lol.

GODSGUNSGUITARS: Great news about your wife, now go get some proper rest. Miranda says those cots really suck. I believe her. Take good care of her, I'm sure she takes good care of you.

Someone mentioned about going outside, maybe slanshroom or 962, can't remember. Anyway, we did earlier today and the funniest thing happened. There was this baby squirrel hanging out by the front porch and Miranda was calling to it, trying to get it to come to her. I'm sitting there on the bench, thinking she's as looney as I am, when the little dude just strolls right up to her, and proceeds to climb up her leg! She picks him up and has me go inside to get something for it to munch on. He's not into the salt that's on cashews, but he tore some leftover breadstix up!

There was a ton of other stuff I was going to say, including details of one of my previous kitchen fires, but that's a long story and I don't feel like typing it all over again. Short version: Carrying a pan without a handle full of boiling water across house using what I thought were pot holders. They were actually just for putting hot plates on, so I guess they were about as fireproof as a bunch of paper towells. Anyway, halfway to my destination, one of these "pot holders" bursts into flames. My hand was on fire carrying about two gallons of boiling water across hardwood floors in my recording studio. It was pretty funny after I got to where I needed to go. That wasn't all that short was it? Oh well.

Powerslave214: No, couldn't be me. Not yet. Maybe tomorrow lol.

Quote of the day: "If we can't be free, at least we can be cheap." Zappa
