HI JOE --- My name is Sherry. I met you yesterday @ Daddy's in Boston. I'm the red-headed nervous ironworker with all the tattooes. I just wanted to say first of all-- Your performance was outstanding like always. Second-- While I waited in line for an autograph I'd look over periodically and watch you interacting with everyone and I've gotta say-- I feel like I've just met the nicest person on the planet! The presence you radiate is so genuinely sweet! You seemed sincerely interested in what EVERY single person there had to say. I think I can speak for everyone when I say, " You have an unconscious ability to make each individual you come in contact with feel important and special." I just wanted you to know I had hoped to meet you for about 18 years now to thank you for your music but today I would like to thank you again-- just for being the person you are. I feel extremely honored and privileged to have come in contact with such a great individual!!! The only other thing I wanted to say that I couldn't manage to stutter out of my mouth yesterday was-- I gave you my business card "The Iron Maiden." If you EVER have a free second, could you PLEASE, PLEASE let me know what you think of my ironwork and/ or the website? I built it myself and it would mean alot to me to have your opinion. I have a lot of respect for anything you have to say. THANKS SO MUCH!! My web address again is: www.theironmaiden.net You can e-mail right from the site. Also, if your family needs any ironwork, I specialize in custom work and have already added a quote on my site so you'd know-- for you and yours, a specialized rate! haha Thanks Joe! PEACE, Sherry

Cant get in chat, so Ill talk to ya later.

clarky: just thought i'd share one of your horoscopes for today: You're so enthusiastic this week, Libra, you want to do everything at once. Hopefully, common sense will be around to restrain you. Think twice before you do something rather silly.

im glad your enthusiastic, but have some common sense and dont do something silly....lol...

Flagg, well said re Thin Lizzy. Scott Gorham, the oldest serving member in the current amalgamation was in the Mark III (third iteration) of Thin Lizzy. I got no problem with them touring the material, I got a problem with them using the name. Phil Lynott and Brian Downey were Thin Lizzy.

MikeyVai, Mr. Timmons is also the nicest guy you could ever meet and can play convincingly in many many styles. He can do the SRV thing, the Satch thing, a lot of the Vai thing, blues, fusion, the Gary Moore thing, a lot of Jeff Beck. I even heard 'verbatim" Santana out of him not to mention the mind boggling country fried pickin and fingerstyle playing I witnessed in his Pawn Kings ( Andy's blues group) show I was lucky enough to see in a small club in Dallas.

All of this different sound through a small Laney set-up I might add.

need to complain a little:

the job - dont really like it. especially when my boss gives me a report thats at least an inch thick or more-no lie, and wants 3 copies of it, we have an ancient copy machine, that doesnt sort, so i have to do it page by page, and rotate the copies so they dont get mixed up, and then sort the, into 3 piles by hand. do you know how much that sucks? if we had a sorter, it would have taken less than 10 minutes, but nooooo...too cheap to buy a new copy machine, so stacy gets the honor of making the copies.

my truck - just bought it last july, its a 2001, was driving home from seeing joe last night and was going like 75 down the highway and over a bump and the truck shook as usual, well it didnt stop right away, it felt like a had a four tire blow out all at once, scared the living shit out of me, so pulled over, but then it seemed fine, so i figured it was a freak thing, but then it happened again, so now i have to have it looked at. they think its the shocks, but someone else says it could be this other thing that the steering column is connnected to which is connected to the front end or somethin that costs a fortune. any mechanics in da house?

oh and no i didnt hit the jackpot either, i only ended up losing $150 though, could have been worse, so i won here and there to keep me going through the end of the night and the next morning..............

ok thats it for now,....

chris - hehe, the alien thing kinda reminds me of avarice.... the frightening thing is some people would actually believe that. There are lots of people who look to the most far fetched explanations of bible events that are far less likely than how the bible itself actually puts it.

i'm really glad you've had a good experience with the catholic church. People tell me how the church of england is in such a bad place, yet i've had nothing but good experiences with it. But I have come across people who've had bad experiences with it (eg. a vicar who doesn't believe in God), and I know that I'm just a fortunate one.

Webmaster or Joe (whoever reads it first lol)- I gave Joe a demo of mine, it had my number on it and it said awaken on top. I asked Joe if he can tell me what he thought of it and if he could call me about it and he said he def would. I just really hope he does, I've worked soooooooooooo hard on it. All I'm asking for is 5 min that's it. Thanx for your time, I know you're very bussy and believe me I appreciate everything you do. I hope I'm not being a pain in the ass, it just would mean a lot to me.

Sorry if this message annoyed anyone. I just had to post it.

Joe! hey man i LOVE your music. It really inspires me and makes me excited about playing. Anyways, I bought an Ibanez JS100, and i love the thing, major props. Only thing is, the floyd rose on it is a piece of crap, no offense it ain't your fault. I mean, me and my guitar teacher have spent who knows how long adjusting the bridge and tweaking the thing just so it'll stay in tune. Also, the whammy falls out whenever I try to use it, it just won't stay screwed in. It just kinda sucks when i spend half a jam session trying to get the thing in working order, and i was just wondering you think i should do? Still love your music though, you are the GREATEST!

I dont know if this was posted before but here is a link for the Satch Texas show with Andy Timmons on it. I beliebe im not the only one whos gonna say this but i enjoyed a lot more to see this single video than the entire jam set with Yngwie on the last G3 tour DVD..... Satch should join forces with this amazing guitarist on the future, he really deserve it, he sounds very similar to Satch and they quite match on stage.

Enjoy if you havent seen it yet

From Andy Timmons.com:

Hi Everybody,

Thanks to all who were in attendance today at the Dallas Guitar Show...we really had a great time (despite the ridiculous gymnasium-style acoustics!!) greatly due to the wonderful response we received!! Glad you all are digging the new tunes..can't wait to get the new record out there. A huge special thanks to Joe Satriani for giving such an inspiring performance as well as the awesome jam he invited me on stage for!! The man has huge ears which makes the "jam" a much more musical experience than the usual fantastic it can potentially be!!

Hope you all are doing well...thanks for all the great posts!! Keep 'em coming!!!

Love to all,

Andy Timmons

Have you been tested and have you been diagnosed with carpal tunnel? If not, you may have just overused some of your ligaments - rest should help. Otherwise surgery could be an option.

You will need to see a good hand specialist for testing and surgery.

Sugarplum: Thanks for typing that message. I think religion and state should not be mixed. It only causes more trouble. Living in a place like California, dont you ever look outside your window or go for a drive? There are people from several parts of the world! America is a melting pot. These people raise families and would feel awkward if every school they sent their kids to were Christian. Its not just Christianity...its about any religion forcing their dogmas on people. I think schools should be secular and America needs to be secular if you think it is not. My friend, this is 2004 not the 1700's.

I grew up Catholic and went to a Catholic school. You cannot avoid ethnic, religious, sexual diversity etc living in a place like America. You have to make everyone feel comfortable by being hospitable. Thats all it takes. It can be challenging at times, but God will reward you for it...if thats a way to see it.

PS: America is a secular country even if it pains you to realise that.

Joeman9: Sorry for being harsh....but admit your last post sucked. Or I can accept it by calling it "the people with underdeveloped brain" diversity. That works!

Do the Stu: It was fun to bash Joeman9, seriously...but I'll stop.

To all the intelligent people Zachary, trutina, michelle and others...I salute you.

I'm lovin' all this Andy Timmons talk!! The man deserves to be on G3...

962 and Zenfish - Andy has got a lot of SRV in him... a lot of the Pawn King stuff is similar to it, as well as "I Remember Stevie" (obviously, lol). He also has a lot of Joe and a bit of Vai in him too... I wouldn't call him a Vai clone at all though. He can do so much on the guitar, so it's kinda hard to call a guy with so much versatility a clone of anything really.

Man I can't wait for his new disc!

Ga6o - Ya I saw that posted at the Timmons site... man those guys rip it up together!!

Mikey Vai - Ah man... if you get a chance check out this months Guitar One. There is a pretty cool lesson from Joe in it, as well as a interview and runthrough of Mike Stern and his career. It's pretty cool...
