Powerslave214 your right. I Like the Rain is a very cool song. I only disagree with the lyrics though. I Like the Rain !!! I guess its because I live on the Olympic Penninsula and Joe lives in California. I have been to L.A. while it was "raining". they slow down driving and get afraid and bring out umbrellas. what they call rain I call nice weather. belive me, folks in Cali dont know what real rain is!! its funny, lol. but yeah, that song rules.

Museman - Yeah, that's natural. This is one of the reasons I admire players like Joe or Gary Moore. They seem to achieve endless sustain anywhere on the neck. A good amp helps. The kind of pick-ups your guitar has also matters. More gain helps and don't forget : VIBRATO. Or try what Joe does on Flying In A Blue Dream: pick the string periodically while you do whammy bar vibrato .

everything effects tone and sustain on a guitar the anatomy of a guitar is special :) everything effects everything!

and yea pciking the string same time as using the whammy bar will cover up the pick attack, Im a bit of a tone freak i have a tone mixed between Joe and slash, and my sustain and feedback is similer to joe, He has one damn sweet set up goin on :)

Zenfish - I try not to focus on playing super fast and trip it out. I do from time to time, but I prefer working a good melody. It means more to me to create a pretty and melodic song, than to focus on being the fastest guitarist. Again, thank you for your interest...----------------------------------------JonRobertQuinn.com

Sugarplum - I will take that into consideration. A show in the Concord area shouldnt be an issue, because its so close to home. Did we meet at the Satriani show on the 13th? If not, I do look forward to meeting you. Thanks again. -----------------------------------JonRobertQuinn.com

webmaster - Hi...I'll check out the chat in a few minutes.

Since you just posted, I thought I'd repost something from a few days ago... It's something a lot of us here have been wondering about recently... This link should pull it up using the T2J Search.

Thanks...

To those of you talking about Dave Martone, I met him last summer while he was instructing at Berklee in Boston during the guitar sessions there. He signed my copy of "A Demon's Dream". He's definately a master of groove. That week I saw him perform at the BPC with Don Lappin - another crazy guitarist whom I had the good fortune of meeting (He signed my copy of his CD, too!). You should check him out. On his web site are some sound clips from his CD from the late 90's, which only has four tracks - all amazing. And he's working on some new stuff.

About the abortion thing: If the woman wants to get an abortion, let her get it. People who get mad at abortions because its not religious have got no right to decide about other people's personal affairs. Who are they? Will they feed the baby? NO!

Stu Clone - Don't use spaces...just do "StuClone".

Also, email chat questions to Jon. Don't post them here.

In the chat, I told him I'd post comments on T2J (just minutes after I read his post telling us to email him, LOL) and he gave me crap for it. ;-) I'm a little slow today, I guess...

Anyway, I'm hungry...basketty time!

Hope I don't offend anyone with my critique of the new album. I can not be dishonest.I will say how I feel about everything. That's me.

And BTW, I DO know how to play guitar, for whomever ended their post with "Learn how to play"

Hey Zach-The amp rocks.I am pretty happy with it.I got new pickups a while ago in my main jem, (which I got fixed for 60$!)and it sounds SICK.The Steve Morse model is such an amazing pickup for the neck, way better than the Paf Pro, Imo.

the only things I really want now are Volume pedal, Compression, a 2nd delay, and a Whammy Pedal.Maybe a 535 Crybaby too, but I'm not really worried about that.

Im using a Ts-9(yeah, the original) on the clean channel, and that gets a nice mellow warm tone, kinda like EJ's last solo in "Manhattan".The distortion channel is awesome.

No real complaints!

I myself...I like them all...some more than others, but, that's me....if you dislike some of them...that's ok ...

Tastey... I can't get your pictures of you and Joe to load either...
