Austin thanks man... I have MP3s from that show, just not had time to listen to them yet! ;-)
/\/\ike no hury bro!
Mark goodie gumdrops! :-) I'll keep the faith!
Bil geetar -> Ultimate Octave -> Chili Dog -> v old phaser -> V-Wah -> volume pedal -> V-Amp2 -> mixing desk... there'd be a Whammy in there too but it's still naffing AWOL lol I have rack FX too, but they're used for the other instruments... occasionally I'll use a Lexicon Vortex on the guitar, but only for delay... this will all change soon though as I'm moving to GA :-O
later peeps... Dave

death cube K: How is the clean channel on that decatone? I want some fat and creamy distortion, but I also want a strong, beautiful clean channel that I can do anything with. The decatone might be a better choice for me than the SLO with it's versatility but I also like the Road King, but I'm wondering how much of a pain in the ass that thing would end up being. Does that tube selection system hold up ok, sounds like an expensive repair down the road to me, but the idea of having different tubes to select to intrigues me.
PhryDom: You're coming over here?! That's awesome, I was wondering why you were selling "everything". Doesn't pay to bring a lot of that stuff with you and if you did, you couldn't plug it in anyway lol.

Michelle If I win the backstage passes then yeah...I'm definitly going to say that...and as people in Birmingham don't have your typical English accent (its more kind of...well lets just say its an attempt at the english accent that fails miserably) I will have to put one on...just to see his reaction lol...But "ass signings" aren't my kinda thing...I think I'll stick with the pick guards lol
Trutina I was on the Jim Dunlop website yesterday looking at their wah pedals...and I'm stuck between the one Joe uses...and the one Adam Jones (Tool) uses lol...and they look exactly the same to me lol.

Apologies if I have missed this conversation before, I bet I have, but why is The Extremist played in regular tuning on the DVD? I can't really think of a good reason, all it needs is a change of axe as per usual. What's the deal?

zenfish - thanks... Oasis did write and record a pretty cool album (what's the story)... Bill (who I'm writing it with) said (having not heard it for a while) - man, that's as good as genesis, and on the second hearing said "that's better than genesis" ... i'm not so sure about that, but I do like it, and I'm glad other people do too :)

Powerslave, that's it! It's Anthrax, Caught In A Mosh :) I thought it would be easy, but I guess it wasn't. lol! I feel compelled to run out today and but their newest - Music of Mass Destruction. Nobody knows Anything is on that one too. It comes with a DVD also! I love that the record companies are putting DVD's in with the cd's. That's awesome in my book.
PhryDom, either your moving to General Admission, which I highly recommend if you get there early, or you're moving down south in the States where the wind don't blow, it sucks. Where you headed?
Delfino, no matter what you get signed, as long as you meet the man himself ;-) The ass thing would be funny though. lol!

O.K. kids, this is an EASY one. Name that tune!
Hey there, all you middle men
Throw away your fancy clothes
And while you're out there sittin' on a fence
So get off your ass and come down here
'Cause rock 'n' roll ain't no riddle man
To me it makes good, good sense
Good sense
Ow
Oooh yeah
Heavy decibels are playing on my guitar
We got vibrations coming up from the floor
We're just listening to the rock that's giving too much noise
Are you deaf, you wanna hear some more
We're just talkin' about the future
Forget about the past
It'll always be with us
It's never gonna die, never gonna die

Do The Stu - Ok cool. When you do happen to upload it let me know as I would love to hear it. Cheers bro.......
Trutina - I have a rack setup and it can give me any sound (within reason) that I have benn using for about 5years now. I have tried using stomp boxes before and nothing comes close to my rack. It basically includes a marshall 4x12, a marshall poweramp, a marshall jmp-1 preamp, a digitech studio-quad fx unit, a wireless system and a few other bits and pieces. A picture of my full equipment can be seen here. Also check out these amps and cabs. They are simply stunning and also Ritchie Blackmore has a signature amp!!!
Sammy Andrews - I have listened to that Gmaj7 chord with the doubled third several times on that Joe interview and he uses the same pitch of the doubled third (B). The way that you transcribed it doesnt use it (note in bold is the third that needs to be doulbled) 3,2,0,0,0,2. I understand that the note of B is also at the 2nd fret of the A string but that isnt what he is meaning by a doubled third. I think the fingering is 3,x,0,4,0,2. This gives you the same pitch of B as a doubled third. By the way, the "x" in the chord means to mute that string which can be done using the underside of the finger that plays the low E string (for me it is the 2nd finger).

Hey Guys :-) Just skipping through..............
Trutina Good to see that you're getting better man, had to laugh though, it sucks that you can't do the bike racing but I always find that I play less guitar when there is a bike in the garage - heh heh - must be a muso-biker thing - lol
My set up is a mixture of all the options you put down. I've got an Ashdown Fallen Angel 40w which has got such a sweet sound I only really go through a Bad Horsie II into that, although I've got a Keeley SEM DS-1, a Boss DD-20 (I think!) twin pedal delay and the Boss twin pedal chorus also (can't remember the model No.) The chorus and the delay go nice through the send and return loop, but when you get an amp that sounds so sweet by itself it's a shame to spoil it - I mean with the F/S you get a wide range of sounds and tones anyway. I've also got a POD v.2.0 for DI into the computer as well and the SoundDiver software lets you edit the sounds more effectively on screen. I suppose it depends what you what to end up with - a great live rig or a fully kitted studio. For a live rig my choice would be separates (so long as you don't want too many sound changes in one song, or else it's tap dance time!) - but I reckon that it is easier to keep a more 'natural' tone - I've had multi-effects processors (digitech) which were good but sounded 'synthetic'. Also I find it easier to change the sound with separtes. For a fully kitted studio, bugger the expense ? It's got to be rack mount, and I'd say that somewhere in there you need a POD pro, be a good starting point as well -imo. Take it easy man ;-)
Michelle Rock n Roll (ain't noise pollution) - AC/DC. What a classic !
Dave Hi man ;-)

Sanjeev I find the best place for tabs is Mysongbook.com though you need software called 'Guitar pro' - download demo here. You can read, listen and edit the tabs with it. Download it on kazaa or something like that... guitar pro 4 and serial - that should be what comes up in the search. its the full version of the software. there are many satriani tabs on mysongbook. it helps you can actually hear them played to you. if thats not what your after.. i guess a good tab site is this. www.mxtabs.net
Hope it helps.
