Whoa!.....Like, I just had the coolest dream last night that I went to a concert to see Joe & Steve. They were signing instruments at the end of the show but my git was locked in the car & I couldn't find the key?...Time was running out but managed to get the git out of the car in time.I walked up to Joe.He then responded by saying,"It's time to take your playing to the next level"....in a very reasuring, confident voice. Then Via came up & handed me a guitar with all kinds of carvings on it & said,"Try this one",with a big smile.......

Talk about strange?.
This dream was so realistic!. Almost like seeing the future.....I hope so:)

When I woke up,I was so disappointed that it was just a dream:(........But I shall take Joe's advice just as though he really was giving it to me....

Well anyway,I wanted to share that with everyone here 'cause I know I'm not the only one who has these dreams(long pause)...................right???
Does anybody else want to share their's too

jblaze1 for guitar guard!

Michelle LOL Yngwie is pretty hairy lol.

Jblaze1: I've had a dream where I was disapointed at the end of it lol...nothing to do with Joe or Steve though. I had a dream that was really realistic and I had a metallic purple RG1527 and was playing it and as I was playing I was thinking "Wow Dino is gonna be so shocked that I've finally got this"...Dino being my best friend who I talk to about everything ever share the same taste in music hope to both be like Joe, Vai, Petrucci etc...then I woke up...and I thought..."hmm stupid dream".

One dream that keeps creeping me out is about my grandad he had a stroke in september last year and he can't talk anymore and is in a wheel chair. But every so often I have a dream where I'll be out somewhere with him and he will be as he was before the stroke...the dreams have become so regular now that the last one I had I can remember saying to myself "This is a dream...I'll wake up in a minute".

Finally we will experience G3 in Norway. Joe and Steve together with Robert Fripp will give a gig in Oslo Concerthouse on Sunday the 20th of June. Do we look forward to it. Being a parent, watching with consern all the bad influence the kids today are exposed to, like hip-hop, rapping, and all those sexy looking singing girls, witch would not sell a single records if not for theyr bodies, I grab the chance with this concert as an oppurtunity to balanse things and let my children listen to some real musik. The kind of music you can feel in your body. The kind even deaf peoples can enjoy. I even considered to bring some of my daugthers schoolmates along. But, guess what. The entire consert are sold out. Not a single ticket left. I was to late. Again. We just have to hope that all the bad influence, will not destroy the kids completly, and leave something good left in them for the next time G3 are visiting Norway. As for the next time. The western part of Norway, Stavanger area, is the right place to have a concert on this size. For instance, Bryan Adams had an outdoor concert last week in the new footballstadion in Stavanger, gathering some 22 000 audience. You should have those in charge for arranging your tour, considering that for your next visit. Anyway I do wish you all the best for your tour and the future, and are looking forwart to see you over here again. Untill then, Keep on rocking in a free world.

962: Peter is definitely the man, that's why I'm getting my guitar now, before the world knows who he is and I'll have to pay what the guitars are really worth haha! Definitely email him ( peter@chellee.com ) about your ideas, he'll love to talk to you. The other thing that is cool is that Peter went to Roberto Vinn luthery school, so he has intimate knowledge of how all of the major guitar builders (Fender, Gibson,PRS etc etc) construct their models, so if you want the guitar to be exactly like a model in some way, he can do it really acurately. Oh...one last thing, I forgot to tell you that the O in OCPS470 stands for my first name Oliver that I don't use....although, maybe if I need to be really metal I'll start using Oliver so I can put German umlouts over the O haha!

almost, the last half of the second arpeggio is different than the first half.

-----------------12-|-------------------16|-----------------14-
-------------10-----|----------------14---|--------------12----
----------7----------|------------11------|-----------11-------
------11------------|---------14----------|-------14-----------
---9-----------------|-----12-------------|----12---------------
7--------------------|--10----------------|-10------------------

so that's the first one up (and down) then up again, the second one up and down and the last one up. notice the changed top two notes.

okay thought i would jump in with one of those name those tunes... heard this song today and it made me smile and sing along (with the windows up of course :))

Tried to amend my carnivorous habits. Made it nearly seventy days, Losin' weight without speed, eatin' sunflower seeds, Drinkin' lots of carrot juice and soakin' up rays.

But at night I'd have these wonderful dreams Some kind of sensuous treat. Not zucchini, fettucini, or bulgar wheat, But a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat.

..............................................................................................

Heard about the oldtime sailor men, They eat the same thing again and again; Warm beer and bread they say could raise the dead. Well, it reminds me of the menu at a Holiday Inn

But times have changed for sailors these days. When I'm in port I get what I need; Not just Havanas or banana or daiquiris, But that American creation on which I feed!

Hope all in Satchland have a good day...

Any chance you might describe the tele-style Ibanez that you spoke of in the April Edition of Guitar Player?

I also have an Ibanez tele-style and wonder if it's like that. When I bought it I was told that they only made 60 of them and for some reason it always reminded me of the RG540R that you played at the time (1988) but with a flat front and contoured back. I think they called it RG580B ("ballback").

I apologize in advance for the mundane question but this is the first time I can come remotely close to asking you the question. And I have waited almost sixteen years for a way to ask it.

Thank you for the music.

novjul - "I’m sure the news would have saddened me a lot more if Reagan hadn’t suffered from Altzheimers"

I'm sure a lot of us feel that way. I was watching some of the Reagan coverage on the cable news channels on Saturday night and Sunday morning...it's sad to think that most of those video tributes have probably been in the can for five years because everyone knew he was going to pass away soon.

A friend of mine, a very conservative one gave me Slander : Liberal Lies About the American Right to read. It took me 6 months to finish it.

This book is strongest in it's statement about free speech...and by this I mean to realize that if Ann Coulter had her way, there would be NO free speech. This book has no focus at all and slouches from chapter to chapter as if the writer was just typing whatever rant came into her mind at that time.

I do give the book one extra star for the creativity that went into some of the finer sentences, such as are quoted in other reviews. (No positive reviews would dare quote these.) But be afraid and sad. As a moderate conservative, I think this is going way too far, I mean allowing standards to drop to "Mein Kampfian" levels, where the Grand Old Party has to reduce itself to mindless, unsupportable propaganda like this.

There are expressions of desire about using mindless violence, like bombing Europe, in this book. There are endless complaints about free speech, and how free speech and the first Amendment to the constitution are barriers to "proper government". Think about that. This is saying the goal of the GOP is to get rid of the First Amendment? That's not the conservative America many conservatives I know envision.

There are pitifully few sources given, and most of those are to other opinion books by other conservatives making equally nebulous, and sometimes violent, claims. Most of what's here is opinion, but it's sad to think that so many people out there read opinion and consider it fact. Coulter's strategy: just shout until you drown out their voices. Somehow this is what wins a logical debate? People who give this book a 5 star review believe this, because that's exactly what the book says.

Her suggestions: get rid of the Better Business Bureau, it causes companies to lose buisiness and profits are more important than customer satisfaction or producing a quality product.?? Working hard is good, she says, but then goes on to insist that the work a person does is not meant to benefit the worker, but the company. Work hard, so the company can prosper. What about the worker? He means nothing I guess. YOU mean nothing; all this hints at the real truth behind this: the individual has no value but as a tool. Individuality is attacked repeatedly; free speech is demonized.

My opinion: this is part of a serious campaign to prevent people from learning to think critically. Critical thinking skills are the greatest enemy of people like Ann Coulter. The idea is presented that "critical analysis" is a trick of some left-wing conspiracy to make people endlessly analyze things and break people down into races, classes, and such. This is the beginning of a campaign to rid us of critical thinking...because "critical analysis" will slide into "critical thinking" being "Liberal". Then anyone who talks of thinking critically will be endlessly bashed and un-"PC". So people stop learning and trying to think...and the way is prepared for the "reeducation" camps... Be afraid of this book. Have a open mind, don't get something so far left or right.
