civgeek: My father-in-law keeps telling me to "Get rid of that thing." and I politely tell him to stick his opinion up his ass......lmao,strange how a bit of ol wood n bits of metal can mean so much,i,d be heartbroken if my first got dusted too, take care of that baby!!

Laters civ

Noppa:Will do,others on the way soon if i can stop myself from the bedroom call, yip its Sunday tom,lol

Cuthbert1776:Thats some scary shit if the hell draft goes through,i,ve posted everyone i know about it,thanxs for the wake up call dude

Zenfish:Heavy Weather by Weather Report, complete genius me thinks & 2 true on Joe Pass,i loved how he boiled everything down t sound instead of this scale is called this etc etc,a mark of a of a great musician,t get THAT good is my aim

On EVH:Ed has that rare magic quality called stage presence,he is the KING of cool, the guy just strolls on stage, hasnt touched a note & he,s already won the audience with that goofy grin, now thats class!

Ovation:S.A.was a difficult one for me,happy y like it,was a real headf*** t create parts that fitted the overall vibe t start, spent weeks trying t find the notes, then in a second while taking a dump in my oh so bad toilet the notes arrived, lol.Something about showers, toilets & just b4 y fall asleep, lol The backin was recorded with my Irish friends Invisible Boss in Dublin. As i dont have the luxury t be able t afford the gear t create my own YET,i asked the lads if i could use what was originaly called Daves song t do an instrumental guitar version for my album. They simply said do what y want roy.Great people indeed the Dubs,i miss those cats so much

Currently working on Hungarian “why do the parts move i,ve recorded out of time every time i get back t it” Gypsy airs, lol, bad earth probs in this flat, must record with one bare foot on a metal A/B box t cancel out that horrible hum every time, did complain about the earth prob t the landlord but....well....LANDLORDS,lol need i say more!

Stay cool ol bro, back again when i get this missive done

Clarky:Nah bud,i cant stand the gym atmos, what i meant was my work is similar 2 one with the mud n shit thrown in just t make y feel even better...NOT,lol.

Alexandrecaetano:My boss has told me i may be working August *sigh* however should that not be a reality i,ll be in Portugal for a few days, then heading up t Galicia,i,d opt for Andalucia after, but i believe in August that may be suicide for a pale skinned scot, lol,Yo soy gamba in 2h,lol,stay cool Al & good luck with all things in life

Death Cube k:Thanks cube,your 2 kind,

Y know there is always room for improvement for all,i constantly struggle every day with my ignorance of music,....but isnt it a fine day when your dreams come 2 fruition,it may not pay the bills but what an incredible feeling t make another persons day better, thats all i want t do for the rest of my life, money was never a priority for me in music because in music i am free, free from everything that a working life wont give, its my church, its that simple & i know you understand like all here, just how privilaged we are to have arrived

Theres no better or worse in this as y know, just pure bliss, enjoy!

Former President Reagan died today, so in honor of him a few of his best quotes:

"My fellow Americans, I am pleased to tell you I just signed legislation which outlaws Russia forever. The bombing begins in five minutes." microphone test in 1981

"Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first."

"Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed there are many rewards, if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book."

"I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency, even if I'm in a cabinet meeting."

"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

I've always held Reagan in a little higher regard than other Presidents. Due to my age, he was the last President I remember seeing on TV and saying, "Wow, the President is on" lol. The Iran-Contra Fiasco was my first lesson in real world politics. Many feel he was merely a puppet for the Republican Party, and I'm not really educated enough in these arguments to say whether that's true or not. He did possess a wonderful ability to communicate with the American public. He may have been the last President any of us actually listened to. After the first Bush, we closed our ears. Or maybe that's just me. Regardless, R.I.P. President Reagan. Ten years of Alzheimer's is a rough road for anyone.

TRUTINA--CONGRATULATIONS!!! you have advanced to the next level of the Tony Greed Show! It's time for YOU to be the judge. They had 3 goals in mind when this bad egg hatched. 1- you have already said..."He argued that the IRL would allow lower budget teams to compete on a national level and that was good for the sport". Can you tell me where the low buget teams are now? Penske? Andretti? Ganassi? 2- They wanted more american drivers.....(I did the work for you) they have 8. (16 foreigners) (1/2 from CART) 3- They wanted all ovals......Reading the Portland paper it says if CHamp car leaves, the IrL will come to town. (I'll move). Bonus Question-----How big a shovel...well you know. . Your friend wasn't wrong, he was just brainwashed. Rock on!

As people have already posted Ronald Reagon died today, its a shame when anyone dies in my opinion, condolences to those who knew him.

My mom made a wierd connection today...she came into my room to do something random like give me some coat hangers or something, and I was watching the G3 Live In Denver dvd...and it was Yngwie's set, and she said and I quote.
"Who's that guy?"
"Yngwie Malmsteen" I said
"He's very fast isn't he" she replied
"Oh yes" I said in a comical northern accent
"He's a bit chubby"
"He hasn't always been like that" I ses
"He looks like Rolo, dont ya' think?"

Rolo is my cat...I have 5 cats, 4 of them are Persians anyone who knows a little something about cats will know that persians are furry as heck, and have really wide/chubby faces. So my mom wasn't entirely off when comparing Malmsteen to my my fat headed pussy.

If I get the time, I'll take a picture of him and put it on my website.

interesting fact number 1: My cat, Rolo, is one of two persian cats in this country of his colour. He is a Cameo-Cream-Red-Chocolate-Lilac-Blue Smoke. Which to most people who see him is brown. The more you know.

I've just realised that I need a new amp for live performance...since I wont be playing any sell out arenas like a certain person...then I'll need something worthy of deafening people in a pub/bar/club.

Any recommendations on a good yet affordable amp thats got quite a bit of wattage?

962: I'm not supposed to give out pricing figures, but I'll tell you that I'm getting a totally custom handbuilt guitar that at least equals PRS build quality for well under 2grand....here's the web address of some of the early picks of the guitar painted prelaquer (the red one): http://chellee.com/guitars/pending.htm it will have really innovative switching. I'll tell you, Peter is doing things on this guitar (durability wise) that I've only heard of in custom bass designs

I would like to take the time to make a brief statement: The Darkness rock(s)!!!! We need more bands that actually aren't afraid of being themselves and having a sense of humor in their songs. Besides that, the solos dominate, and Justin Hawkins is friggin hilarious.

peace...

962: Alright?! My flight leaves at 4:15 on the 24th. Maybe we can meet for lunch? I don't know how far I am from Heathrow. I'll get my info to you tomorrow. Cheers mate!!!

Michelle: Good Luck to your sister! I know what it takes to compete, I don't miss it. Well, sort of. I loved having 6 pack abs! Oh Yeah! I love being in shape, working my way back.

Slansroom: If I don't exercise I think I will be evolving into something like my pillow, soft and lumpy! Yuck! LOL! Good Luck with finishing the Album/CD! I'll be patiently waiting, I'm a Lady in Waiting! LOL! I'm looking forward to hearing it!!

Ovation: I still need to post EJ's setlist! I don't know the encore songs except the Jimi Hendrix cover of "All Along the Watchtower" that they did in the 3 rd encore! The drumer sang vocals. Eric did "The Wind Cries Mary" during his initail set! One of 19 tunes! Kicked Ass! Erics voice is soo beautiful! I didn't get to tell him, but I told Jeff and he said "Please tell him, he will really like to hear that!" I still didn't get to tell him, I was telling him he was going to see Steve Vai before me, when he was quickly rushed away back to the hotel. They're at Clapton's Crossroads Concert tonight! Wish I was there! Shit! If I wasn't going to Sweden amd London, I would be there! No doubt adout that!!! I will still tell Steve Vai that Eric said hello! I will bow to Steve also, he is so worthy!!!! I just don't bow to anyone! I only bow to those that are truely worthy! :))

juju808: Thanks so much!! I think I have it all under control, but i"m sure i'll be in a panic! I'm having some photos reprinted and enlarged in anticipation of meeting Joe and Steve! Some of my best stuff! Best be done in time! Julie, you have a great trip too! It'll be here before you know it! Take many photos! K?Please give Alexandre a hug and a kiss for me!`````

Hail Clarkus!!

Clarky: Alright?! Yeah, I would love to catch you and your mates jamming! That would be so kickin! I invited my friend Jeff (Eric Johnson's tour manager) to meet up with me in London. It will be so kuul if he can! I will be having an amazing time regardless of his presence. It would be extra special for me if he can do it! :)) All Hail Clarkus!!

Ovation: I told Jeff about Dave Martone! I will give him the Guitar9 link, just in case he does'nt have it. I will make sure that Eric will hear Dave Martone! He is such a monster! I just love that CD! Big Church, Attack of the Celery Crunchers. Demon Fetal Harvest, Goodbye Pork Pie Hat and Panemencco! It only took a few listens before I was totally blown away! I hope maybe Eric may want to tour or do some work with Dave Martone! That would be so kuul! Yeah, I'm so ready for my trip! I can't wait! I hope Jeff can meet up with me, so kuul. ;-))))

Nite all! Mari

CD of the night" MoonDance by Van Morrison! circa 1970! Holy Shit, 34 years! Awesome F**'in tunes!

I've seen guys lift weights too fast with too much on the bars and get some pretty nasty stretch marks.

trutina posted one of my favorite Ronald Reagan quotes, so I thought I would upload it to my website to share with everyone...

http://www.csulb.edu/~alewis4/stuff/stuff.html

It's at the very bottom of the page.

The Prez - Ozzy Osbourne is signed to Sony / Epic, as is Steve Vai...unless Steve was still with Relativity when Ozzmosis was recorded...? But then again, didn't Sony own Relativity? Or no?

Steve should not be in Ozzy's band right now. He shouldn't get back with DLR, either...I hear that one all the time. He's doing great as a solo artist...why should he join a band?

trutina - "my Dad is on the town board. Now, my Dad, I can vouch for being honest and doing what he believes is best for the community."

My friend's uncle is a state senator. His name is Sam, so to my friend he is Uncle Sam...isn't that cool? Haha... Anyway, it's kinda the same the same way with him...he's an oral surgeon (actually, I think he might be retired now) who basically has no ties to anything in the area. He can vote for what's right, not for what will give him the most money in the end. That's how it should be with everyone.

"After the meeting lets out, about five of the nine members (note: a voting majority) come to the bar to have a few drinks and talk shop..."

That is very illegal in California...we have open meeting laws that prevent a voting majority from talking about politics anywhere without giving prior notice.

"The guy just kicking back playing pool and drinking a few beers after work isn't all that likely to attend a board meeting, but he feels comfortable stopping by the table and voicing concerns or asking questions about this or that policy."

That's a good thing...I never really thought about it that way. I still think an arrangement like that is more bad than good, though.

tezizgud - Hmmm? What do you mean it has "album version" listed after each track?

...Austin...
