962: The guitar body in the pictures (the address I posted) is the "Chellee Model I" which is Peter's own custom design (we modifed things about the scale length, neck shape and electronics but I dug the shape). He can and will build you anything you want, but you have to remember, that my guitar is a solid body bolt neck guitar with very little "glammed up" options, just a little extra fretboard inlay work, so of course a guitar that is alot more work, like a semi hollow with binding and stuff all over it will be more, but just give Peter an email on his site and talk with him about your ideas, he'll be able to give you an idea of pricing and such. And yes, I have a feeling Peter will make it big at some point because he's a custom builder doing really unique but beautifull work(not just a strat/LP clone). Just a note about his work quality, he builds his guitars so tight that you could string up the guitar without a single bolt or screw put in it....the neck pocket is so tight on my guitar that under high humidity, Peter can't get the neck into the body...my S470 looked that tight, but when we took the neck off it slid right out haha! Peter is also building a neck for a bassist that is capable of action lower then 1/32!! This is because Peter builds his necks with biflex trussrods and dual graphite reinforcement rods inside the neck.

Happy 44th birthday, Steve Vai! :-)

962 - Yeah, it should be cool... I don't know if it'll be available in the UK, but I'll be sure to let you know when I have more information...

ovation1 - "I'm gonna be scarce after Mon starts"

I'll believe that when I see it. ;-) You say that all the time, but you never seem to be away for more than a day or two...LOL.

Seriously, though, I hope work doesn't get too crazy... Come back when you can.

DelfinoPie - Just start very slowly...build up the speed over time.
death cube k - Go with the full stack.

...Austin...

just some jokes i came across, A man walks into a bar, absolutely infuriated. He grabs a seat and hunches over. The bartender leans over, sayin "What can I get'ya". The man orders a beer. As the bartender gives him the beer he asks him why he's in such a mood. The man replies saying " Lawyers are assholes man." Suddenly, a man in the back stood up. "HEY BUDDY, I TAKE OFFENCE TO THAT!" The man sitting down scowels and says "What are you a lawyer?" The man replies "NO, IM AN ASSHOLE".
How to Beat a Speeding Ticket,
A police officer attempts to stop a car for speeding and the guy gradually increases his speed until he's topping 100 mph. He eventually realizes he can't escape and finally pulls over.

The cop approaches the car and says, "It's been a long day and my tour is almost over, so if you can give me a good excuse for your behavior, I'll let you go."

The guy thinks for a few seconds and then says, "My wife ran away with a cop about a week ago. I thought you might be that officer trying to give her back!"

mikey - the tournament was awesome.. 2 days from 9:00am to 7:00 pm... and I got burnt to a crisp.. tomato face but I had shades on... panda eyed tomato face.. lol...

there were over 200 teams ranging from under-7's right though to adults.. saw a few fists thrown... but that's footie... lol..

and our under 11's teams entered five teams [only 6 a side footie].. our'A' team won it out-right [although that's not the team my oldest played for]..

our under 9's A were knocked out in the semi final..

both my boys played well, although my big 'un was spectacular.. and was the talk of the day... [proud dad over here.. lol]..

got lashed Saturday night...

top weekend...

zen - interesting point of view... I know that you're primarily blues centric in your tastes... but you also contain a tranche that is sophistique.. I was curious to see if someone like Vai could touch you.. it appears that in a limited way he does..
yup.. Portnoy blows me away too.. lol.. Petrucci always amazes me at first but can leave me a little cold at times.. I always have mixed feelings about him
jelly - I don't know much about Wagner... maybe I should read up on him... find out if he's like me... not the brilliant mind.. the other part.. lol

DELPHINO - I'm playing catch up (56 posts) but I have never needed anything bigger than my Peavey twin 12. That goes for small halls to 10,000 seat amphitheater. If there was a need for more volume we just miked it. That's all that happens at a big show anyway.

PREZ - Prince

MARIMARI - Why settle for the a six pack when you can have the whole keg ?

TO ALL - And now another addition of "Sorry man, but no, you cannot sing." As some of you know my band was holding AAGGHH-ditions yesterday. I only have one question. Is it that hard to know you are NOT ON PITCH? Holy crap. So, suffice it to say we are STILL looking for a singer. If anyone one knows a 3/4 good singer-that can take some of the load off me-and let me play more guitar-that lives in the Portland area, Speak up now!

Back to the books, only 4 days left of studying, woo hooo!!!

stace - congratualtions to your sister.. send her my best wishes...

when I watch my boys play I have a bit of a shout.. no more than when I go to a pro game though... I only ever shout encouragement, warnings [like when there is an opposing player in a dangerous position and he's unmarked], I always shout good stuff to the goal keepers [both sides] if they make a great save - 'cos it's a tough position to play.. and I never question the referees decision even if I don't agree with it ['cos that gets you no where].. I've only ever squared up to a ref once when he allowed play to continue when the keeper was down hurt..

yup.. I make a lot of noise but only in a good way..
last season, a few of us dads put ourselves between a ref and a very angry dad that was going for a ref over a decision.. he was an ass-hole.. the game was an under 9's league match.. so it was a young ref too [must have been 15 -17 yrs] and he was well scared.. we made sure everything was ok.. the dad calmed down and the match continued..
yes some parents go way over the top.. I ain't one them.. lol.. I'm into technical footie and watching the boys develop both as players and as little men...

mari - no worries... we'll see what we can sort out... when are you here?

I am in the process of recording a new cover from Liquid Tension Experiment: "ACID RAIN" Its not complete and its kind an experiment for a tone quest, and a quest of playing all the LTE songs. Surely its not perfect or yet complete but i think the hard parts are already recorded by now. Mr John Petrucci its a monster of the "fingerbleeding" skills :) Well, i hope you like it!! Just sharing with you guys.I never forget my dear Satch comunity ;)
