Tastey I've got 4 persians...and they malt like crazy...it annoys me so much. You can't go anywhere without having a massive chunk of fur stuck to you lol.
Civgeek Yeah I think thats where my mom made the connection because when she saw Yngwie the camera was looking at hm from behind, and then a shot from the side...so you couldn't really see his face...an how chubby it is lol

civgeek - Well, there's roughly two $ US to one £. So I'm looking at roughly $600 all in. Not much fun.
Plum Loco - lmao!!! Your experience was funny though; mine just plain sucks... lol

Judgment / opinion / taste / preference
“the dictatorship of opinion” … what else is there? All judgments about music are subjective. Even those of seasoned music critics who have listened to a wide variety of music and music history (presumably!) in order to earn the right to pontificate to the lowly masses on the merits and demerits of this or that cd are still making a subjective judgment based on their unique listening equipment ~ there is no definitive judgment
I am quick to disclaim any ability to critique music based on sufficient musical experience ~ I know I like Satriani but beyond that I will say naught
I’m quick to defer to the judgments of others with more music under their belt ~ I’m just a humble unfrozen cavewoman SatchFan (don’t ask) ~ I know what I like and that’s all

Guitarmeister Thats a very helpful site for beginners like me who are aspiring to Joe, Petrucci and Vai. Not only does it give background on them, but playing techniques excellent glad you shared it with us. :-)
Tastey Nope I never saw that picture but I can only imagine lol how funny that must've been at the time...one of those "quick get the camera!" moments lol.
When I went to the persian breeders house that my mom buys cats from there was this cat the size of a dog...it wieghed 25kg which is about the same as an english bulldog. It was so cool though it was one of the studs...which made me realise how being a female cat in that house hold was one hell of a job lol. His name was something like Zeus...but I would've named him KFC Megabucket but my mom refused to pay £500 for him :-(
Today I scared myself, and now i realised how fortunate I am to have found Satch's music around January last year. I'm really new to his music but its improved my playing already as I only picked up a guitar for the first time in 2002, but to think if I had never found him I would still be playing songs that consist solely of powerchords...Thankyou Satch. After I found Satch I found Vai, then I found Becker and Freidman, then Petrucci and thanks to DCK I am now looking into BH and thanks to a recent conversation with a really hot girl I am looking into Gilbert lol.

Whoa!.....Like, I just had the coolest dream last night that I went to a concert to see Joe & Steve. They were signing instruments at the end of the show but my git was locked in the car & I couldn't find the key?...Time was running out but managed to get the git out of the car in time.I walked up to Joe.He then responded by saying,"It's time to take your playing to the next level"....in a very reasuring, confident voice. Then Via came up & handed me a guitar with all kinds of carvings on it & said,"Try this one",with a big smile.......
Talk about strange?. This dream was so realistic!. Almost like seeing the future.....I hope so:)
When I woke up,I was so disappointed that it was just a dream:(........But I shall take Joe's advice just as though he really was giving it to me....
Well anyway,I wanted to share that with everyone here 'cause I know I'm not the only one who has these dreams(long pause)...................right??? Does anybody else want to share their's too

Michelle LOL Yngwie is pretty hairy lol.
Jblaze1: I've had a dream where I was disapointed at the end of it lol...nothing to do with Joe or Steve though.
I had a dream that was really realistic and I had a metallic purple RG1527 and was playing it and as I was playing I was thinking "Wow Dino is gonna be so shocked that I've finally got this"...Dino being my best friend who I talk to about everything ever share the same taste in music hope to both be like Joe, Vai, Petrucci etc...then I woke up...and I thought..."hmm stupid dream".
One dream that keeps creeping me out is about my grandad he had a stroke in september last year and he can't talk anymore and is in a wheel chair. But every so often I have a dream where I'll be out somewhere with him and he will be as he was before the stroke...the dreams have become so regular now that the last one I had I can remember saying to myself "This is a dream...I'll wake up in a minute".

Finally we will experience G3 in Norway. Joe and Steve together with Robert Fripp will give a gig in Oslo Concerthouse on Sunday the 20th of June. Do we look forward to it.
Being a parent, watching with consern all the bad influence the kids today are exposed to, like hip-hop, rapping, and all those sexy looking singing girls, witch would not sell a single records if not for theyr bodies, I grab the chance with this concert as an oppurtunity to balanse things and let my children listen to some real musik. The kind of music you can feel in your body. The kind even deaf peoples can enjoy. I even considered to bring some of my daugthers schoolmates along. But, guess what. The entire consert are sold out. Not a single ticket left. I was to late. Again.
We just have to hope that all the bad influence, will not destroy the kids completly, and leave something good left in them for the next time G3 are visiting Norway.
As for the next time. The western part of Norway, Stavanger area, is the right place to have a concert on this size. For instance, Bryan Adams had an outdoor concert last week in the new footballstadion in Stavanger, gathering some 22 000 audience. You should have those in charge for arranging your tour, considering that for your next visit.
Anyway I do wish you all the best for your tour and the future, and are looking forwart to see you over here again.
Untill then, Keep on rocking in a free world.

962: Peter is definitely the man, that's why I'm getting my guitar now, before the world knows who he is and I'll have to pay what the guitars are really worth haha! Definitely email him ( peter@chellee.com ) about your ideas, he'll love to talk to you. The other thing that is cool is that Peter went to Roberto Vinn luthery school, so he has intimate knowledge of how all of the major guitar builders (Fender, Gibson,PRS etc etc) construct their models, so if you want the guitar to be exactly like a model in some way, he can do it really acurately. Oh...one last thing, I forgot to tell you that the O in OCPS470 stands for my first name Oliver that I don't use....although, maybe if I need to be really metal I'll start using Oliver so I can put German umlouts over the O haha!

962 almost, the last half of the second arpeggio is different than the first half.
-----------------12-|-------------------16|-----------------14-
-------------10-----|----------------14---|--------------12----
----------7----------|------------11------|-----------11-------
------11------------|---------14----------|-------14-----------
---9-----------------|-----12-------------|----12---------------
7--------------------|--10----------------|-10------------------
so that's the first one up (and down) then up again, the second one up and down and the last one up. notice the changed top two notes.

okay thought i would jump in with one of those name those tunes... heard this song today and it made me smile and sing along (with the windows up of course :))
Tried to amend my carnivorous habits.
Made it nearly seventy days,
Losin' weight without speed, eatin' sunflower seeds,
Drinkin' lots of carrot juice and soakin' up rays.
But at night I'd have these wonderful dreams
Some kind of sensuous treat.
Not zucchini, fettucini, or bulgar wheat,
But a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat.
..............................................................................................
Heard about the oldtime sailor men,
They eat the same thing again and again;
Warm beer and bread they say could raise the dead.
Well, it reminds me of the menu at a Holiday Inn
But times have changed for sailors these days.
When I'm in port I get what I need;
Not just Havanas or banana or daiquiris,
But that American creation on which I feed!
Hope all in Satchland have a good day...
