962 - One thing I remember that Joe said at the Portland in-store was that he used a heavy pick and tried to pick as lightly as possible.
Through my own noodling I came to use 3mill. picks and a lite touch and have no pick thump so I think that is your answer.
Also, Joe talked about using your pick it different angles, using different sides, and at different places up and down the neck to create notes of different textures.
Hope that helps.

Did anyone watch David Letterman last night? He showed this clip of a camel skiing down a hill...it was awesome. :-)
dragonchild - "we'll have a bunch of photos to put for your pleasure"
For my pleasure? Woohoo! :-) :-) :-)
"both from the show and from her visit in general"
Oh... THOSE kinds of pictures...!?!?!? :-(
Hehehe... Seriously, though...thanks... ;-)
Stu Clone - "malnutrition as a means of obtainment is underrated =D"
Malnutrition for G3!!!
juju808 - I'll keep him in my prayers... Let us know how he's doing whenever you get the chance.
Joeman9 - Type tab in a fixed-width font and it'll show up correctly on T2J.
The Prez - "Just because someone disagrees with you ons oemthign doesn't mean they have to shut-up on the topic."
You're right. However... When you say something that causes a dozen people to respond, but then you ignore those comments and continue making your original point, you're really the same as a troll. People get mad if you say something but then don't listen to their responses. If that happens, then yes, it's best to not talk about the topic on T2J.
racefan - Hi...welcome to the site. :-)

EVERYONE read Below:
Sundown,
You are a current RadioIndy.com front page artist and one of your songs
is included in our current favorite song contest! Check out the
contest and current results at www.RadioIndy.com.
Our front page favorite song contest runs about 1 week, and 5 songs of
RadioIndy.com Gold artists compete head to head in a poll on our site
for our listener's favorite song. Please let your fans know about the
conest. They can cast up to one vote per day. The Gold Artist whose
song wins the contest continues to be featured on our front page, gets
a custom radio stream on the front page, and is automatically included
as the reigning champ in the next contest.
Good luck in the contest. You know that we are your fans.
Very truly yours,

Hey Joe...
VERY cool of you to keep the aftershow giveaways. However, as cool as it is to get the chance to meet ya, it is MUCH cooler to have Gr8 seats while watching you play. Any chance of throwing in a giveaway (or 2) of Gr8 seats? That way a couple lucky fans will be able to meet you, & a couple lucky fans will be able to see you play up-close. Given those choices I'd pick the seats EVERY time. That's the problem with all this FanFire crap, I'll end up with crappy seats & will be too far away to catch any picks, get any good pictures, & have less people in front of me blocking my view of "the Master". PLEASE DON'T MAKE THESE PACKAGES THE NORM FOR YOUR SHOWS IN THE FUTURE!
Thanx... John aka =o|-[

mgoz Yeah, Pratchett rules. Death, Luggage and Librarian are all very cool, Death probably the coolest of them all ('Reaper Man' is a favorite). I have a weak spot for Cohen though, especially in the later books.
Austin Now don't be greedy young man... What's wrong with pics of houses and trees and shopping malls? lol
962 You wrote: 'Well, scrote is an abbreviation of a 2-syllable word with the same first 5 letters! So it should really be scrote-pouch or what? lol!

I'm half way through "Tales from the perilous realm" by tolkein... then i'm gonna make a start on the 5th Harry Potter soon... i've heard good things...
What you think about all these books being made into Movies? First Lord of the Rings and now Harry Potter? will Pratchet be next?

Looky here. It seems that Bobby Fripp has been listening to Ice 9 to practice for G3, and also that he'll be appearing on British reality TV! I find this very interesting indeed.

962: Try using fender classic celuloid (tortise shell) heavy picks. Pick lightly and make sure the pick isnot overly angled to the string. These have always worked for me. BTW the EJ concert was great maan!

I'm looking for a copy of the show from Santiago, Chile, 3/31/03. Apparently it was an FM broadcast. Does anyone here have it? I'd be up for a trade, if so. My only stipulation is no mp3 sourced shows. SHNs are fine. Regular mail trade also fine. List is here: db.etree.org/jcshirke Contact me through the link provided there.
Thanks.

Do the Stu Re-Ask the questions, and I'll answer them line by line. My point of the argument was you can't give the total credit to Jimi, and at times I think that there should be other musicians that are looked into more. A lot of people listen to hendrix, but I think they should take the time to listen to other guitarists, who also have had a big infleunce on music.
JoeApestrociani Oh that's a nice comment on the album, lol. Hope joe doesn't see that.

Ozzfest 2004, I think I'm going to go this year, have to pre-order because last year I tried to get the tickets and they were sold out. Bands pefroming there are Judas Priest, Slayer, Dimmu Borgia, Black Label Society, Atreyu, Superjoint Ritual, God Forbid, Lacuna Coil, Slipknot,, Lamb of God, Bleeding Through, Devildriver, Every Time I Die, Hatebreed, Magna-FI, Otep, Throwdown, Unearth, and of course there's Ozzy. The show would be worth seeing just for Zakk Wylde. It should be better this year because they actually have bands that play solos and not all that Nu-Metal crap.
