michelle Yeah, we got to a bar close to the venue and hung out for a couple of hours before they closed... then we got back to the tour bus. I didn't speak much to Jeremy myself, he was a bit tired after the show and didn't want to join us at first, which was funny 'cause he found a nice girl to talk to as soon as we got to the bar lol. He was very nice though, it's easy to like him. He's got some serious tattoos too lol. I wanted to show him mine, but I didn't of course... we were in a public space after all lol! Billy and Tony was hilarious, Billy told some girls he was teaching medical science lmfao! Tony took pics of me and Dave and managed to chop off Dave's head lol. We had a serious fun time! :) Mostly telling dirty jokes lol. Taking care of Mari was easy, she's great! I'll do the same for you when you get here lol.

Austin I think it was Rick Wakeman... although it was quite late when we met (or rather early). Joe's guitar tech? I've got a pic of him and Thomas Nordegg anyway, so you tell me when you see it lol.

Delphino I usually see the info about G3 here on Joe's website. For the G3 '04 tour here in Sweden, there was not much advertising before the tickets got on sale, so I had to check out the ticket companies online every so often. About a month before the gig some posters were up in the area around the venue, but they disappeared pretty quick (no, I didn't steal them lol, wish I had though). The same day as the gig, Joe and Steve did an interview at a radio station here in Stockholm. I also think they did an in-store signing in Gothenburg right before the show there.

ovation lol, I didn't get any addresses other than Dave's... :) And you can find that on his website, daveweiner.com. You can also listen to clips from his cd, they're really good! I'm gonna buy that cd as soon as it's available for us living in Europe.

ATN: lol brotha, the storm is simmering and only moving at 20km/h now!!.... We'll get hit heavy Sunday, and I got the place all cleaned up.... Plus I got your cd out of the car and am listening to it on the comp., and I'm it get's better each listen!!.... Didnt have time to at first, but it's sinking in now, and DCK knows what I'm talking about, lol!!.... Keep it up man, and tell Steven, ROCK!! :-)

May your grass always be green, may the wind always be at yer back, may yer beer always be cold, and may yer heart always be full of love...er lust - whichever feels good at the time!! hehe, lol michelle!! ;-) btw, when I read If everyone here wasn't sleeping I'd be screaming out loud I almost spit my Corona all over the screen!!!! haha!!.... I was laughing out loud when I read your posts michelle, and thanks for the laughs!!!!.... And then I read about the crushed cockroach!!!!.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! ;-) Oh, and glad Friday finally arrived over there, lol!!!!....

Do The Stu: hehe, you just want to have Fripp on the US tour so you can take the time to go pee and drink lot's of beer before the next set starts, lol!! ;-) hehe, j/k, cause I know you dont drink!! ;-)

Clarky: I've found that the locals seem to treat you much better if they see you actively taking an interest in their country and culture and making the effort...... So true indeed bro, it works the same way over here....

Interesting to hear about Requiem Paul!!.... I firmly believe the Galaxy has an effect on our being, and I know that night it had an effect on you!!.... More long notes, bends and vibrato show's your talent much more than the shred does (although I love both, lol!!), and I'm glad it all worked out this way!!....

Dude.... One more thing.... Remember what your writing, or take notes, because I think a description of each song would be an awesome addition to the album (like I've said before).... For ex: Requiem.... something very special happened that night.. and when I left the dojo I looked up and saw the clearest night sky I have ever seens.. the stars were so bright.. and right in front of me was Ursa Minor.. unusually low in the sky.. but huge and bright.. This would look great in the notes bro!!.... Step by step man, I'm looking forward to this, lol!!.... And btw, sorry that JOE didnt call you for the G3 gig!!.... ;-)

dragonchild: lol Eva, and thanks for that hookup on Daves site!! :-) ROTFLMAO at Billy!!!!.... HAHA!! ;-)

clarky...i already try to jam with a couple of satch songs...i dont get it right..but i know what key its in..and just play something similiar...maybe the lick will come to me as i listen more and my ear develops a bit more. songs like always, summer song, surfin' and flying (need to get that change to Ab lydian sorted out though). i do this cos its fun..gives me something to do...but its been a while since i've studied them songs in detail and actually learning the notes. i dont see how learning songs develops me as a player..i'd rather be original and spend my time writing my own stuff and developing my song writing. maybe i am lazy in some respects but i get bored easily doing stuff...maybe i have a short attention span.

@Marky Boy

It seems that a few more proper Satch songs have been added to the UK iTunes, but I find it slightly puzzling that they've put on tribute stuff before his official releases. I guess 'Tumble' will appear sooner or later. I'll be checking everyday until it does.

The Soundscapes set was met by booing & slow handclapping, for the second evening in a row. I find that if my playing is right, I have no concern for the reception. If my playing is poor, for whatever reason, I am unable to look people in the eyes, as after last night's jam. For Soundscapes, on both the performances so far, my feelings are untouched by the reception. Robert Fripp.

Ahhh, the open minded 'rock guitar' community. I find it sad that people have so little respect. Good on RF for his view of it all.

ZenFish Thanks for your answer, I have read several of the authors that you reference, although more Nietsche than anything else.

Have a good weekend people. cya

civgeek well i would guess no.. a js with a AAA flamed maple top and trans black.. most likely is not gonna happen...unless you can get the custon shop to build you one .. or find a luthier that will put a maple veneer and stain it trans black.
vfr hows it going?

How's it going with you ? Have you got another jam sorted out with the guys you played with a while back ?

Tastey Thanks, that's a real thoughtful post you've given me a little 'fuzzy' moment a coupla days early ;-) Have a good weekend - see if you can get out on that bike !

Delfino, Gizzard Pie and Clerval Pie...lmao!!!

Clarky, through the skull - that's showing the ladies how to use their heads! (seriously bad joke).

Eva, Billy seems like a really funny guy. How lucky you 2 were to have Tony & Dave there also. Very cool! I bet the guys had just as much fun as you 2 did. It'll be a long time till I get to Sweden. Hell, I can't even get to Maryland this year, and that's only one state away! lol! Thanks for the offer. If I ever have the chance to get there, I'll give you a yell :)

Mikey, I tried to make the toast a bit Irish. LOL! Pretty bad, huh? lmao! Hey, I'm here to entertain :)

Stace, happy pre-800!

this is interesting... I've never before in my life heard of the story of Jesus surviving the cross, or being married, or having children...

does this perhaps come from the lost sea scrolls?....I had heard that the Vatican did not want the lost sea scrolls published because they supposedly contained things that would turn the christian world upside down...

enlighten me Master Clarky...

DelfinoPie - Also... another way of getting your music out, with minimum effort is http://www.purevolume.com - you can put tracks and info on there. It's probably worth doing that as well as selling a CD elsewhere. It's a good ego trip when people download your music... IMO anyway....

I noticed the concert listing for Cynthia Woods Pavillion in Woodlands for the Houston, TX, show but when I looked on the event scheduling for the Pavillion the concert is not listed. Has Satriani officially canceled the Houston show or did it move to another location and date?
