Austin good point. thanks man. and I know that you will have fun at the show.

soul of distortion I agree with you man! mondays suck big time. lucky for me they wont be as bad after a while becuase this one is getting closer to over and only six days of school left. mondays will be better when you dont have to get up early on them and go to school.

cuthbert1776 hey man. I am also a Christian and I agree with your statements a lot. you have a good point and I agree with you. I almost always make it to church (which of course doesn't make me a believer) and once a week our family has a Bible study together. we used to have youth group but its done for the summer but we are going to have a youth Bible study which I am gonna try to make it too. these types of things make you a better Christian, not by just doing them but by learning from them and having an active relationshilp with Jesus and God. also you need to do your very best to follow all of the Lord's rules and read scripture as often as you can or need to. this makes it way better than just believing. but you alreay knew that I think. anyway, have a nice day brother-lol.

trutina - the old "waste even more time on the couch" ploy.. lmao... truly awesome.. roflmao..

cuthbert - how can you accept Jesus? accept him for what?

I'll gladly talk religion.. but my learning of the good book is very different from yours...

Zen - "my cunt is my ass,"... a girlie once said that to me.. lmao..

by the way.. ever heard of a Polish band called SBB.... you'll really get off on the guitar player and their grooves.. jazzy, bluesey prog.. very very nice playing.. the vocals a in Polish but if that don't piss you off then you'll really love it..

and their drummer.. jeez.. he can really lay down a groove..
stace - "going to hell if i didnt accept Jesus i would say F'off" - say it how you feel it.. lol.... and be polite.. you crack me up.. lol .. you're a top girlie... lol.. lol..

I was Christened 'Church of England' - so I'm also a protestant..

The Catholic faith was founded entirely upon fear, lies, domination and marketing right from the outset....

in fact.. Christianity is a completely manufactured religion.. I'm sure Jesus himself would barf if he saw what grew up in his name...

and i can't piss out of my ear either.. I did try though.. it's really tough.. lmao..

delfino - funny that.. I can't get along with Gibsons either.. I love the tone.. just can't get into them..

but I'm a confirmed Strat man... love em ta bits..

Protestant - us lot in England.. perticularly King Henry VIII didn't like [protested] the idea of someone more senior than a king in his own country.. in Germany the Lutherians were breaking away [protesting] and disputing religious text.. Henry used all this fuss to his advantage and therefore as an excuse to brake away from the control of the pope and make himself head of the Anglican church.. so in all respects religious, military and liege lord.. he is ruler of the Kindom of England without question and without challenge from abraod.. as an Englishman you serve God, King and Country..

greyfox - " i think u got wrong person there coz i aint said anything about religion, i only said that nightwish the band is good and if anyone likes or heard of them."

when I read that I almost fell off my chair laughing... roflmfao..

classic....... lol

I bought Velvet Revolver's Contraband today...it sounds great. The band is a perfect combination of STP and GNR, as should be expected...

The whole album is VERY strong... After one listen, my favorite tracks are Do It For The Kids, Spectacle, Fall To Pieces, Headspace, Set Me Free, Dirty Little Thing, and Loving The Alien...

Fall To Pieces and Loving The Alien are great slower songs... My favorite solo is in Dirty Little Thing...cool stuff.

Everyone should go buy this disc now. ;-)

Marky Boy - Thanks for posting the setlist. I'm surprised that both Cool #9 and Searching are in the setlist... Are you sure that War was played? I'm surprised that Joe played that song but not Summer Song.

Clarky - "I've always thought of LA as being a very violent and crime ridden place."

When I was in Hollywood to get my wristband for the Satch signing a few months ago, I ran into two people from England who were in the US on vacation... They had a few questions about public transportation and stuff. They were scared to death when I told them the train they needed to take went through Compton... I thought that was kinda funny.

Compton is probably the worst area, but Los Angeles as a whole is safe if you're a normal person who minds your own business and doesn't go looking for trouble. I guess that's true everywhere in the world, actually.

Give me a day or two and I'll have some websites for you (housing costs, crime rates, school info, number of Satch and Vai concerts per year, etc.)...

VFRrocker - Yeah...Everyday was the first Dave Matthews Band album that RCA decided to promote outside of North America. It sucks, because that album is not at all representative of the band's work. DMB signed a new contract recently that gives them (the band) complete control of their music outside of North America, so hopefully you'll be hearing more of them soon (when their next album is released in late 2004 or early 2005).
Leiny - You can take photos during the aftershow. Be polite, though...
trutina - Hey you...welcome back!
Guitarmiester - LOL...read my comments above. I wrote that whole thing recommending the CD to everyone here before I saw your post. ;-)
Zinc Master - The three new Van Halen songs will be available on their second greatest hits album, which will be in stores in the US on June 29.
DelfinoPie - Protestant religions originated in the 1500s and were formed because they believed that the Pope and the Catholic Church should not have religious authority over the people...

At the time, the Catholic Church would sell indulgences to people. If you wanted to keep a mistress, for example, you could give the Church a large amount of money and you would supposedly still go to heaven even though you were living a life of sin. The Catholic Church also had systems in place where you could pay money to save the soul of a nonbeliever who had passed away. You may have heard the saying that goes along with that... “As soon as the coin in the coffer rings, the troubled soul from Purgatory springs!” Stuff like this led to Martin Luther's 95 Theses and the Reformation...

Protestant religions were formed with the belief that faith and faith alone was the deciding factor on whether or not one would go to heaven.

Well, it's dinner time... I gotta go. ;-)

...Austin...

Good to see nothing out of the ordinary Bil!! ;-)

Clarky: Sounds like a kuul way to break Yoda in, lol, and it sounds like you guy's get along great, so I'm sure the rest of the band will be no problem.... Your right, once Neil settles in, your gonna have one helluva guitar section, and from what I've heard of Neil's stuff, you guy's are gonna ROCK!!.... Have fun man, and remember to go out and have the ale to get everybody all loosened up, lol!!.... Enjoy!!....

BTW, getting quick and accurate is not somethng you notice happening over night.. you don't notice it at all.. it just happens over time... Great point man, and also about JS Clone 1.... I believe he still plays, but he got frustrated with it and turned to car work, lol, I hope he finds it again and just goes with the flow....

....Now how's that for a drive-by post.... ;-)

Austin another good point about non-catholic churches. Martin Luther had some great things to say most of them seem to be ture. b;ut who was talking about the money and mistress thing, was that you? anyway, about Catholic preists and such being corupt it seems that a lot of them still are today. what a messed up deal.

I think it might be time to play guitar in a little bit.

AAGGH - DITIONS ROUND THREE DING - DING!!

The aaagghhh- ditions this weeek were quite fruitfull and fulfilling. The singer begged off for another week, he wanted to be more prepared. Point in the merit column. The bass player that came in was good. was solid on the songs he learned and picked up the ones he didn't know w/o too much hassle. All an all a very rewarding day . The only downside was breaking my last .009 and and having had a tech be the last person to string my guitar there was no slack at the head stock. Went to the music store right before practice and some tech had bought all the .009s in the store. So, I bought a .010 cuz I only hade a buck on me (college budget). Then, of course, I get to practice and string up the .010 and I have to retune the whole thing to adjust for the extra tension but it never really works so I played the five hours about 10 cents flat. The horror.

Aaahhh all caught up. nighty night.

Stace, it's a damn shame they're off school for the summer. lol! I'd probably spend the afternoon trying to play along with various cd's! lol! But noooo, now I have the share! hmpff!

Tonight I was playing along with AC/DC's Who Made Who cd. My son was playing SOCOM: US Navy SEALs on PS2 on the internet (on T.V.), and he kept yelling at me because I was making to much noise and he couldn't hear the other players in his ear piece. lol! One of the kids he was playing with said he kept hearing drums every time my son talked and asked my son what the noise was. My son was annoyed and said "It's my mom playing the drums with AC/DC". The dude was like "Cool! I wish my mom played the drums!". lmao! Then my son had to laugh. lol! Hey, I might be annoying, but I'm fun as shit! LOL!

Mikey, I got this beat I like to do that I can change up and add beats with my right hand, or keep it simple. I keep a steady beat on the snare with my left hand, and go back and forth to the toms & snare with my right. I'm constantly doing left/right hits, but the right is taking turns, so every other hit with my right hand is on a different drum (snare, tom, snare, tom, snare, floor tom). It sounds pretty cool, and surprisingly I can get it going pretty fast too! lol! That's when the DRUM FACE comes on! lmao! I hit one beat per tom, or I can stay on one tom for 2 or 3, then change to the next tom for 2 or 3, then go to the floor tom and do the same - snare tom, snare, tom. The problem is, both nights I've found this groove, it was 10:00 p.m. or later, so my husband makes me stop before my neighbors freak out. He said I actually sounded pretty good for being so bad. lmao! He meant that in a newbie loving way. lol!

Mick, my son got a strap for his bass today. He was looking for one with spiders on it, but had to settle for skulls :) lol!

Helloooo Bil! Nice you could come out to play again :)

Stace, "There's something wrong with my dick," is the perfect joke to put between all those posts on religion. lmao!!! You're so funny sometimes!!! lmao!!

ToneCapone, welcome back!

Benny, we got the Sabian 14" XS-20 hi hat. What a huge difference it makes compared to the ratty hi-hat we borrowed that kept chewing up the sticks because it was so bent up. lol!
