Michelle, Do The Stu i'll have to go out and get that DVD then! hehe.

Michelle did you get an answer yet about the Package seating and buying your ticket early so yuo can also get a good seat, or is it where the only way you get a good seat that isnt 20 rows back, you have to buy the package thing?

Clarky i listened to some of your songs again the other night, they are really cool...i think my favorite is "Motha of Mothers" how long have you been playing, and what was like the biggest thing that changed your playing for the better? if that makes anysense? haha.

Hello Joe, Your last CD "Is There Love In Space?' I buy is also very good! But the best is your DVD: Joe Satriani Live in San Francisco. I have play this DVD so many that I all the little burning-holes in the DVD are a much bigger now. My son of 16 years old is playing a elecrtric guitar and is also a fan of you. My question to you Joe. Wenn do you play in Holland?

All the best for you and the band. Best regards, Elbert and Jordy Baas

Does anyone know of any instrumental bands that sound kind of like T00L and Satch mixed together or something of that liking?

Hillo Joe,

You probally get this all the time, but i have to say thank you! Thank you for being an inspiration, for writing amazing songs and thank you most of all for opening up my life to music! If i had never have heard Satch Boogie i would still be thinking that music was silly and pointless, because of you and your fantastic music i regret ever thinking that!

One more major thank you is for showing me the guitar and what can be done with it in the right hands! Every day and evening i attempt to learn 1 of your songs, true i fail but practise makes perfect, i only hope that one day i can play to somewhere near your unbelievable standard!

Thanks

Luke

Jazzy Boy - I wasn't really describing Joe's work on ITLIS? as a whole as being spacey, but I feel that there were a lot of spacey elements on the album...that's what I meant with my comment.

I still have to upload your pictures...I'll do that later today.

Fan of SV JS YM - Yes, Joe taught Steve and Kirk.
lorenz - I don't think Joe is using any overdrive or distortion with his new JSX amp. However, I think I see Joe's Boss DS-1 in one of the pictures...
ovation1 - Thanks for the email...I think I'll end up buying the CD from Amazon either today or tomorrow...but I'll email you to let you know.

Yes, I have the Dave Matthews Band's The Central Park Concert. I actually have all of their CDs and DVDs (as well as over 100 bootlegs). ;-) The Central Park Concert was the one I recommended to people here when it was released last year...it's such an awesome show.

Dave Matthews is an interesting guitarist. He can't solo to save his life, but he comes up with the coolest riffs and chord progressions... And yeah, as you've seen, the rest of the band definitely doesn't suck. ;-)

I love listening to Stefan's bass parts. His parts aren't technically difficult (he's not like Stu or Billy), but he knows his theory and is great with the improv stuff that the band does so well... Listen to Warehouse or All Along The Watchtower and pay attention to how his lines change underneath the solos...that stuff is very cool.

Also, since you mentioned it, I love Stefan's Star-Spangled Banner. He plays a fairly loose version of it, and some of the odd notes he throws in throughout it give it a different feel...it's refreshing.

No, Carter doesn't do a drum solo... He'll only occasionally play a 2 or 3 minute solo in concert as an introduction to a song (usually Halloween or Say Goodbye). He goes nuts during the songs though, so it's obvious that he's a great drummer. His syncopated stuff is some of the best I've heard from anyone...

I'm glad you bought this concert...hopefully more people here will follow your example. ;-) The band will be releasing a six-disc boxed set of three shows (about 50 different songs) from 2002 in a few weeks. When that happens, I'll be sure to go nuts about it on the board here...

Powerslave214 - Happy birthday!
Dave321 - Yngwie is (or was) doing his own tour...
marimariSRV - Wow...congrats on the aftershow passes!
dragonchild - I hope Mari is nice enough to take you backstage too... ;-)
