Re: Two-handed technique

I noticed some people have been interested in this subject. A few months ago there was an excellent videoclip-link here on this site from Bob Zabek. I have it on my pc, but couldn't find it from his website... still I found Journey Of The Butterfly

... for those about to enjoy: you might wanna check out this videoclip!

guys - been I little busy.. sorry for not answering posts.. but I looked in today and saw 20+ pages and thought... nah... too much..

so I'm back...

started on the next song The Chosen One.. the drums and bass guitar are down.. next tracks to cut will be the strings, brass section and choirs..

so far it's sounding very nice..

Mari - if you have the urge to learn to play then just do it girlie... and if you suck.. never quit.. just stick at it..
you have a genuine passion of guitars and music.. I've seen it in your eyes.. playing one will help you to love them even more.. and you'll learn a new respect for your heros.. not a greater respect.. it'll just add a different angle to the love you already have for them...

so go make yourself into a shredder..

Zen - concept - I guess it's pretty obvious to say that everyone has a different approach to creativity..
first off - the act of creation is a very personal thing..

I have several methods available to me...
it all depends upon the situation..
creativity also take many forms... it can be totally spontanious.. like when you improvise.. it can be deeply thought out.. and accidental [like you find a sound and write around it]..

for me, unless I'm improvising and experimenting, there always has to be a conceptual subject.. this acts as the foundation to the whole thing...

I've never thought of emotion at being a pure thing... I see that as a bi-product that is triggered by something else..
so I choose a theme.. explore the theme in my mind and note it all down on paper.. like a storyboard or a collection of ideas, angles, view points.. I sort them out into an order of progression of events.. and as I think about each event the emotional aspect begins to grow within me... then I hear my new music..

funny.. most of my music is about stuff that horrifies and / or awes me..

IceZer: Can you put that link to Steve playing that Nelly Furtado song b/c when you did it last it didn't work.

Like Last year or the year before I thought Nelly Furtado and Nelly the rapper were the same person. But Nelly Furtado is a lot hotter.

SOTD: Texas Flood of The Sky is Crying (b/c its raining real hard here and Stevie is the man)

Yeah, you got me. I don't even know why I'm here, cos I really hate forums. I only came on here cos I was bored at work (and Joe Satriani is one of my favourite guitar players).

I'm gonna lead by example and unplug myself from this shit.

Over and out...

24 fret mayhem: who was complaining? someone here? i hope not..i didnt think anyone here was like that. especially over something so serious. its quite a thing you've had to go through, and you were looking for help, not sure if you got it from us, but i think people genuinely care about what happened to you............

dev: what the?

jazzy: be nice....brat...he was only tryin to be helpful

clarky: we could use some of your humor in here.....

supaadave: i think you almost need to wait to see what she looks like first? i dont have kids but i think its possible to come up with a name that might not suit their looks or personality when they come out? although you already have kids so you're more experienced at this than me. so have a few handy....dont think im havin kids..but i always liked Lily for a girl....

Joe

I have a question that not even my guitar teacher could answer. I have satch boogie tabbed out in a guitar magazine. At the end of the intro you do this awsome wammy bar thing. If you look at the lines showing what to do with your wammy bar on the tab part, it looks totally different than on the notation part.

Why Is This?

Jason Taylor

(P.S. If anyone else knows the answer to this question please answer it / It gives me a headache thinking about it all the time!!!!!!!!!! )

I just uploaded a new song to My Soundclick page that I'd love you all to check out. It's called 'Daybreak' and it's very different to anything I've ever recorded before, so hopefully it's not too terrible!

[hippy mode]Maybe the nice music will wash away all this negativity... [/hippy mode] lol
