novjul, many thanks anyway. Yeah i'll let you know what happens to this track when it's finished!
I gotta say, it's controversial, so your political standing and opinions on modern democracy will kinda dictate whether or not you like it. That said, we've written it from a point-making/awareness aspect.....we're not just trying to piss people off!
edit:
OCPS470, dude, SRH rocks! I love it man, it's a no-bullshit blues-rock tune, you can't go wrong! Cool tone, and nice lead break too! I'd love to hear the better audio-quality version.
Keep on rocking dude, let me know when you get a CD's worth of stuff done, I may have to get you to mail me one!

Who said anything about socialism?
You'll never hear anything remotely close to that socialism stuff from me. Capitalism is the most natural thing on Earth. I love nature. But, do you believe DeGrasso is worth $190 million, whatever he was paid? I don't. Some things appear out of kilter and intentionally off scale to me. Some things are not exactly natural, but more like manipulated unfairness, dig? Legally speaking, sometimes we find a culture will call that type of stuff a crime (can you say Enron?). Do you think the Baseball Players Association and other unions are part of an (darth) insidious commie plot? Do you think granny should be able to buy her meds even if she don't have much scratch? I say yes. I will say, it's obvious that democrats always spend money on things like roads and government contracts. History proves this puts people to work in every country, not just yours. We live in a consumer economy, it's that simple. This truth has zero to do with socialism. Pay is earned. However, aside from things like the FDIC demos fashioned out of the experience known as the Great Depression, America does have many entitlement programs that are essentially a socialist response to the problems of an era of want. Fanny Mae? Insurance keeps people on an even keel top to bottom, dig? We're no Western Europe in the USA, though. Those people in Western European countries are smart enough to both have a higher tax base and a higher standard of living than America - that is well documented. As an aside, those cats don't invest as much these days as they once did in our market - that's one reason why Greenspan wants a weaker dollar - go figure. You just watch how all the baby boomers start voting demo once they reach retirement age. They will rant and want the government to take care of them after their lifetimes of hard work; to wit: AVERICE, where for art thou when AVERICE rears it's ugly mug? My last post is all about the truth in the facts. It was a positive affirmation of real statistics and an article with 'expert' opinions attached; I did not proffer opinion. Between the lines the post speaks to fairness. I’m not arguing for nor against fairness in the post. There is zero about socialism in the post. Is life fair? Ought it to be? I leave that decision to you.

I'm back home and feeling kind of bloated. but the staff was very nice. and I don't really remember it I just remember talking to the nurses and then I faintly remember seeing a screen that showed my insides and I kind of saw it but I went right back to sleep. then I woke up in my bed again and they gave me some 7up and sent me out. And now my stomach says my lunch wants out. I'll see ya laterz, all.
oh yea they poked my left hand three times and then once on my right. it looks funny

Hey Satchland !!
I was in my local music store the other day and I noticed a brand new Fender Stratocaster that was marked down to $399....I inquired as to why it was marked down, and she said that it had been "on the wall" for almost a year and they needed to make space. Well, this thing turned out to be a "ripper".....it has a AA flame maple top, maple fretboard, and a beautiful honey-amber finish. The fact that it was made in Mexico did not deter me at all...I threw down $80 to hold it and went back yesterday and paid the rest. She's just about to get a fresh set of virgin strings and a very happy existence living in my home ;) I am a very very happy man today....I love this guitar already !! Peace, D@ve
Maybe someday when I get big I'll buy a digital camera and post some pic's of my gear...later...SD

Nitefly-Rob I have heard the Deep Purple/Satch bootlegs and I agree it is some very cool stuff. I got mine off of Kazaa though, since you cant buy it anyway I figure screw it! Let 'em sue me.
Cuthbert1776 Who said I am not still on the island? For primitives, they have one hell of a good high speed internet connection.
S2art" Why doesn’t anyone use chat?"
Zenfish "The chat has colonized the T2J”
S2art "Huh?”
That was some funny shit right there. Zenfish is one deep mamma jamma.
Diary of a Caveman I do not know if DeGrasso is worth 190 million or not, but Bryant was definitely worth 130 million. With out him the Lakers would not even make the playoffs next year.
I saw that when Jazzy and Do The Stu were conversing that the name Fanboy was thrown out there. That is a Kevin Smith reference and therefore automatically funny.
That’s it. Gots ta go. Enjoy Samhain
edit-man I really screwed up the bold and italic thing!

Do The Stu and Delfino Pie I knew Buckethead quit GNR and I heard from my friend that Axl wants Satch to take Bucketheads place. I just asked if anyone else heard it also. I know Joe wont do it, I said to my friend that Joe already has shows booked for the rest of this year, he wouldn't cancel his shows to play with GNR!!! I haven't heard any songs from the new GNR, they probably suck if it's taking this long to make a CD(or Axl is too perfect for everyone?!) I highly doubt Joe would ever go and takes Bucketheads place, what a mistake that would be!!!!

Hi Joe,
My name is Mike, I have seen you live about 13 times (maybe more) and you and I have met about 6 times I even gave you my demo once. I've been a BIG fan since about 86-87 (this was just before Surfing with the Alian came out, when you made the record Comic Power for guitar player mag). In those early years whenever I would say you were my fav guitarplayer the most common responce I would get is "Joe who?", very glad that no one says that now. I've been a member of this board for about 6 month but this is my first post.
Your new album GREAT I really loved Stange and Beautiful Music too, but this new one is my fav since Flying in a Blue Dream.
Since this is my first post I'd thought I'd tell you the huge effect you had on my life and my playing, but that just sounds too touchy feely. Instead I'll just say that even thought you don't know me you've helped me a lot (not just with guitar either but with life too).
I have been teaching guitar since I was 19 and find it to be the most rewarding thing I've done with my life (kinda have to thank you for that too because of the insperation you gave. In January of this year I released my own guitar instruction site and it has really taken off. If you get bored on the road some night I would love it if you take a look at it Guitar KnowledgeNet. If you did listen to the last demo I gave you the music on my my music page might help you to remember who I am.
Anyway I love your music and wish you even bigger success. I'd really love to see a solo tour within the next year or so. Even though I love G3 your solo shows are alway much more fun for me. I live in AZ so don't by pass phx if you do this type of tour.
You have encouraged me to go beyond myself.
Thank you,
BIG BIG BIG Fan Mike

I would posit that it was government intervention that created things like the FDIC (FDIC prevents the kind of run on the banks that helped fuel the Great Depression - notice the banks faired ok during the last stock market crash. Why? People were not terrified that their money would disappear, *poof* , into the night.) and the SEC, (without which, both experts and those who are forced to comply admit, corruption would be far more rife in the securities industry). I could further show, and this is in no way opinion based, that it was lack of regulatory government intervention that fueled the corruption that caused the Great Depression (more Coolidge than Hoover, really) and the junk bond fiascos of the 1980s (another de-regulation error which inarguably caused economic chaos) and it was de-regulation that led to the late trading, market timing and related mutual fund fiascos currently rocking almost every securities house in the USA. This also speaks to the combined 6 plus billion dollars Chase and Citibank just set aside for legal fraud settlements pending, not to mention de-regulation and lack of government intervention which led directly to Global Crossing, World Com, Enron, Adelphia, Arthur Anderson scandals of just these past couple years. I cite a mere half dozen to dozen examples of gross abuse, something that is obviously much more far and wide when one speaks to corruption in the free market absent government regulation. I'm certain I could go on and on with sundry facts and examples speaking to this, but what is the point of beating a dead horse? Moreover, the federal minimum wage law is not a socialist idea; it's just a good one. It is said, "Thank the labor movement for bringing you the week-end." Here, we talk about extremes. Certainly, Dickensonian England and child labor left a lot to be desired... Does that mean we're all commies now because we want a week-end off? Paid holidays? Retirement programs? I think not. Have you ever heard of the Golden Parachute? Does that mean corporate America is most communist when it comes to fortune 500 CEO retirement? Child care for low wage workers just makes sense and is not much different than Arnold Swarzeneggar's after school program ideas. Now, back to our regularly scheduled program. I'll eschew further discussion; my point is made.
