HELLO JOE! Iīm a 23 year old spanish guy from Madrid. I went to G3 here in Madrid and It was the happiest day in my life. I stood really close to the stage and It was awesome!! I enjoyed a lot "singing" ICE 9 and COOL #9 as well as ALWAYS WITH ME, ALWAYS WITH YOU, which is my second favourite song, after LORDS OF KARMA. I want to thank you for making my life much better everyday, your music definitely makes me travel across galaxies. Thank you very very much indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need some suggestions or tips about picking... I play since I was 21, now Iīm 23 so Iīve spent two years playing guitar. I simply canīt do the tremolo picking thing, my wrist lacks nerve or something, I want it to move fast up and down, but it doesnīt. What do you think I should do? Do you have any suggestions about it? Iīve even thought about leaving the guitar, but I canīt do that either, as itīs the thing I like the most in this world. I havenīt thought to stop playing just because I cannot do tremolo picking, but also because I canīt pick properly, my wrist gets tired too soon. I really donīt practice more than 2 hours a day, but Iīve seen people whoīs been playing since 6 months ago, and they can pick much faster than me!! Do you think Iīm too old to play guitar? Or maybe I have some sort of injury inside my wrist or elbow? Do you think maybe the wrist needs to develop strength? THANKS VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING, YOUīRE THE GREATEST ONE IN THE WORLD EVER!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER SO I GET SOME MOTIVATION!!!!

I have not have the priviledge to see Robert Fripp but everyone should consider themselves lucky to see g3 with him and not Yngwie Fatstain, Joe and Steve are not shredders, they are musicians, people complaining that Fripp cant shred, well good, SHRED IS DEAD....

BBKane - Fripp is a monster of a player when he wants to play fast... in terms of actual diffculty, rather than audible sounds per second...

Fripp's diary is hilarious... asking for a non-smoking sign to be replaced cause it didn't work!

Hi guys,

All you Rush fans in the UK, they are having a Rush convention in Birmingham as well as the gigs, well worth checking out if you can me thinks.

Andy Summers would be a great G3 addtion, just to add a slightly different note. Seen him live many times and he is outstanding, compostionally very clever.

Well, I will use my penis as a slide from now on because tapping has started to hurt.

dck: I use the easy frets sometimes to make the fretboard slippery. Whipped cream and honey have worked previously.

Cuthbert: I agree you know a lot about the confederacy, but go to a black person and tell him the confederate flag only represents southern pride (which I think is a pretty damn stupid thing and everyone who is 'proud' of the south needs their ass whipped) and does not have to do much with slavery. If you can convince them, you have the right to fly the confederate flag and not call yourself (or anyone in this case) racist. ToneCapone is a racist hick. screw him.

Flagg; good point.

Clarky: the ladies play the piano with their butts most of the time while the men are jazzing it up for them. Its a jazz band.

Michelle: You are right, dave mustaine got fucked over by Dan Huff who had screwed megadeth over. bullshit. And no, you were not smokey in your earlier post!

I have met Dann a few times he is an awesome guy . so unless mustaine is trying to not look like a poser sell out(like he is). blame someone else... i like early megadeath up to youthinasia.. then the kinda sucked.. i under stand what DM is trying to do... oh well what can you do.

dck: I agree that megadeth have gone down heavily after cryptic writings. Megadeth is partially to blame for hiring Dan as a producer, i mean, he's fucking country. Dan is so used to studio musicians that he probably didnt give a shit. Actually Marty Friedman had recorded some solos on Risk that were taken away by Dan without asking Mustaine or Marty. That was the point where the band started breaking apart.

tastey, I use latex strings for some play with my guitar.

Austin & Tastey I was in Tijuana, Mexico helping out at an orphanage. we also built houses for people in the community and we played with the orphanage kids and stuff. the work was hard work on hillsides carrying stuff up the hills and all that. surprisingly the people down there are cool, they are very thankful and they have nothing. it was a great trip and I feel like my group made a difference.

cuthbert man talk about a can of worms. you have got to admit though to the average black american, the flag is not going to be looked upon with a whole lotta pride. Before Hitler took it over the Swastika was a sign of pride too, but man I wouldent put one on my pickup truck now. Your right though Lincoln only cared about keeping the union together.
BBkane dude, your not helping at all. We are all stupider for having read your posts.
Well, have to go, got a Klan meeting in an hour, its all about white pride though, its not meant to offend anyone.

Austin ~ rzzldzzl was not "upset" at the prices, he sounded quite happy (from what I could tell from his post) to get the $100 seats ~ what he wanted was a heads-up about the premium packages ~ he must have missed the newsletter where they were announced [[..Edit: rzzldzzl did receive the newsletter, he just wanted the announcement earlier..]] ~ I've seen plenty of upset here on T2J regarding the premium packages, and this was definitely not upset! he was merely sharing the saga of his fan fervor to sit as close as possible ~ I concur with the desire to get close to the stage ~ it does make a difference

You can try all you want to get good seats from a Ticketmaster or other ticket broker pre-sale and all I can say is, Best O Luck Buddy butdontholdyerbreath, and if you manage to see any of the first 3 rows for sale online, let alone anything in the first 15 rows you must be using a different internet than I am

my POINT is that by purchasing a premium ticket package you are supporting Joe in a bigger way than by purchasing either a ticketmaster over-priced seat in the 30th row because that's the best you can do over the internet, or even worse by handing over a three-figure amount to a scalper ~ bollocks to that, I say!

Like you, I've met Joe twice and would not necessarily purchase a backstage pass (like you I wonder what would be the point of that) but I might just pay for first- three- rows- seating if I could afford it ~ the family have not met Joe, so the backstage passes would work just fine for them, but the bucks aren't there ~ I'm happy for those who can afford it

//end rant

cuthbert: I do not mean to attack you in any way. The average black person, also mentioned by flag, will look at the confederate flagg as nothing but a racist sign. I have several black friends who seriously hate visiting the south and seeing confederate flags flying aroung. How is one going to explain to them that this flag is all abou southern pride and not racism? You can tell a million black folks its historical meaning and lets see if they give a shit. Also, the confederate flag has been adopted by several dumb racists for a reason.

What exactly is southern pride??? Proud to be from the south? My penis is located down south too, should I hoist a confederate flag on it?

I'm catching up on Robert Fripp's diary entries now... I missed a few of them at the end of June, though, and I can't find them on his site. Does anyone know if he keeps an archive somewhere? I can't find one.

Jazzy x - "ToneCapone is a racist hick. screw him."

No he isn't.

Didn't you just apologize to everyone a few days ago? Why are you still sayng stuff like this? Can't you go more than a few days without insulting people?

novjul - Okay, "upset" was the wrong word to use...

"my POINT is that by purchasing a premium ticket package you are supporting Joe in a bigger way than by purchasing either a ticketmaster over-priced seat in the 30th row because that's the best you can do over the internet"

If my 30th row seat is overpriced, than surely Joe's third row package seat is also overpriced (much more so). I still prefer to pay the lower price.

I've said this before, but I think it would be much better to raise the price of every ticket by a few dollars instead of doing this. Instead of having 7,900 tickets for $60 and 100 tickets for $250, have 8,000 tickets for $65 and meet people out by your bus like you've done in the past.

Oh well...sorry for dragging this out.

I hope you have more time to do something else other than quote and post everyone else's messages and add in your useless remarks. I am not talking to you here, so buzz off. This is harsh but youve got to eat it.

PS: You dont own this site. Quit acting like youre the boss here. Seriously, let me say whatever I feel is appropriate.

Jazzy x - what do you want?"

I want to know why you apologize to the entire site for your behavior, yet less than a week later you are back to doing the same things you were doing before your apology. I asked three perfectly valid questions. I'm still waiting for three answers.

"I hope you have more time to do something else other than quote and post everyone else's messages"

I quote previous posts so people know what I am talking about.

"and add in your useless remarks."

If that's your opinion, fine. Judging by the number of people here who talk to me on a regular basis, though, I would have to say most T2Jers do not think my remarks are useless.

"I am not talking to you here"

You called someone a racist for no real reason, and I responded. There's nothing wrong with what I did. I also asked you three questions about your behavior. Those questions have to do with you, not the people you were talking to.

"You dont own this site."

When have I said I did own the site?

"Quit acting like youre the boss here."

I'm not the only one here who has had a problem with your recent comments.

"let me say whatever I feel is appropriate."

Do you feel it is appropriate to go back on your apologies?

Thanks Stu and Cuthbert for watchin my back. Once again Jazzy Bitch is being himself, what else can one expect from him? My best friend who was also the best man at my wedding, who happens to be black, doesnt seem to think I'm racist. Niether do any other of the hundreds of black people I know. People may fail to realize that there are plenty of places in this country that are way more racist then the South is. Jazzy Bitches opinion of the South is way off just as most of his other opinions are. BTW Jazzy you are a hippocrit, just a few months ago you were saying how you feel that Do The Stu's opinion and comments are very significant and how when he says something its relative or important and not just ranting. Now your saying the exact opposit about him. Actually I believe the negativity you threw out at him was really just talking aout yourself. We know you are lonely and have no true friends Jazzy, but you need to start learning how to communicate better. Ya Jackass!
