ovation So sorry to hear about your father-in-law. From your post it seems he finally got to rest, even though he will be missed. Remember we're here for ya' if you need to talk about it. :) And thank you for the good luck wishes, unfortunately he lost the semifinal 9-11, but it's still his greatest achievement in pool so far, so I think he'll appreciate it later on. :)

michelle I had a spider encounter last night that I'd rather not had... it was rather late, nearly 2am, and I'm going to brush my teeth and go to bed. Stepping into the bathroom and turning on the light, I automatically screen the floor for *unwelcome things* (I always do that lol). I enter, but something feels wrong, and when I turn around I see this big spider right by the threshold. It was about two inches across, which is big after swedish standards anyway lol. So I trapped it in a glass and slid a paper underneath and lifted it up, but the paper wasn't strecthed enough so it slid out down to the floor in the hallway. I was VERY quick turning on the light there I tell ya'! lol! I managed to trap it again and turned the glass upside down with the paper on top and QUICKLY carried it out on the balcony and threw it out. PHEW! Good luck going to sleep after that... *shudder*

Guys, I'm starting off well learning 20 songs of Joe for some live music in south italy. I'm realizing how beeing a musician like Satch is very cool but hard at the same time not for going arond the world or organizing but because you will have to play the same songs and, for example, right now I'm feeling sick but excited at the same time for my next concert. Any ideas for not beeing sick? P.S. this is my repertory

1- Surfing With The Alien 2- Always With Me, Always With You 3- Satch Boogie 4- The Crush Of Love 5- Flying In A Blue Dream 6- The Extremist 7- Cryin' 8- Motorcycle Driver 9- Slow Down Blues 10- House Full Of Bullets 11- Crystal Planet 12- Love Thing 13- Lights Of Heaven 14- Secret Prayer 15- Time 16- Turkey Man 17- Oriental Melody 18- GNAAHH 19- Up In Flames 20- Is There Love In Space

So, what do you think?

Ovation1 ...so sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks to whoever told us to save ITLIS Cover( from the Music tab above) & then Invert the colour in Paint! It works a treat !! Do try it everyone......

I then went to the cover of SBM..& inverted that.....& that is cool too. It reminds me of Crystal Planet. Try it. Next I will scan & try the inside to ITLIS....

Ronrenton, I was singing along to your words whilst cooking the tea, & Just Look Up was playing in the Lounge

Hi anibur

I hope I didn't ruin your meal.....

I was thinking of Joe Cocker for the vocal
Imagine the two Joe's doing their thing,
It would be a sure crossover track
(hitting a different worldwide audience)
Taking JS into the mainstream of a popular rock ballad.
That is if JS should ever want to go there...??
I just wish the whole world could appreciate JS more.
He is far more than a shredding axeman,
He is an icon of modern music, a musical Einstein..a...
I better stop there....or I'll go into song mode again LOL

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the experience?
Who do you imagine singing "Just Look Up" ?

Again, thank you for your comments...good or bad.

Kind regards
Ron

did that last post confuse anyone apart from me?

1) Steve, not Joe wrote and recorded Alien Love Secrets.

2) I don't remember seeing Master Bamboo on the tracklisting of that album... though I could be wrong...

3) Is there love in space? has a track called Bamboo on it... I guess this is what's meant but I'm still deeply confused, and disturbed by the whole matter.

ste Vai - Joe is about 5'6" or 5'8"...

Ethn Hayabusa - Welcome back. What'd Journey do to you this time? ;-)

I saw them with Yes, Cheap Trick, and a few other bands last year. They blew me away.

alexandrecaetano - Cheap Trick's most famous album is Live At The Budokan... They've recently released the complete concert.

I would recommend one of those two albums, or one of their many greatest hits albums. I have this one...it's a great mix of music. Listen to sound clips of I Want You To Want Me, Ain't That A Shame, Surrender, Dream Police, If You Want My Love, That 70's Song, and The Flame. I'm sure you've heard at least some of these songs at some point in your life...they were huge hits here in the US, and I bet some / all of them were popular in Europe as well.

Let me know if you like what you hear... :-)

MarcDeLoosem - Happy belated birthday...

...Austin...

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone here knows about the digitech whammy pedals...I am going to buy one but cannot figure out which one to get. I know that joe uses the WH1 and thats what i was going to get but I can't decided whether or not to get the reissue or the original. I heard that the reissue had a lot of tone and volume problems. This true??? Do you need an equalizer pedal or is the reissue just as good?

thanks

Hand in the air (One fans saga for a good seat)

I could not figure out why it was taking so long for Joe’s Concord Ca. date to go on sale. Being a pretty big fan I kept my ear to the ground, checking Joe’s site, BGP, and the Pavilion sites repeatedly for the on sale date. No dice. Then the Bone announces Bone Bash V and sure enough it’s Joe’s show plus Buck!!! Now I am really hyped up and ready for a great show and hoping for good seats!

The deal on the tickets was if you were a Bone Head (and I am in more ways than I’m proud of) you would get a pre- sale shot at seating. All you had to do was sit tight and you would receive an e-mail that would be the key to your jump on the good seats. Pre- sale tickets would go on sale Thursday morning at 10am.

Wednesday the 14th no e-mail but I’m not sweating it. I’m thinking maybe I’ll get the e-mail just before the sale. Thursday the 15th 9am no e-mail…Wosh! 10am no soap! In a flurry I call the Bone. The receptionist routs me to promo man Josh’s voice mail I leave a message knowing full well I’ve got no chance. 10:15 no reply and tickets are selling. I call the Bone request line and after the obligatory thousand rings I get a nice woman who listens to my problem and then explains that many did not receive the e-mail some sort of computer problem thing. She then gives me Josh’s direct line.

10:30am… good seats going, going… And a new development, my three-month-old Katie wakes up Rob Halford style, screaming for vengeance. Duty calls, change the diaper and get the bottle rolling.

10:45am baby in arm and drinking her bottle I call Josh and get him live in person. He finds me in the Bone Head files and in a flash e-mails me the dope. Pass word in hand, I plod one handed through registration.

11am …”totally sold out to the maximum” …Eric Bloom, BOC. I try for “best available” for 3 seats, and get upper level 200 section…no good. I try again for 2 seats, section 200…bad berries. I then try for one seat, I get section 100 audience right, a big improvement over section 200 but you gotta be left for Joe. What to do? Sit on my hands? Or hand in this case, remember Katie’s in my other hand drinking her bottle. Should I cancel, try again, in hopes the computer gives me another shot somewhere left in the 100’s? I take the bird in hand and complete the transaction. It’s the best that I can do...Or is it?

Friday the 17th I receive an e-mail from the Joe site and find out he’s got premium ticket packages for sale! I’m blown away. Man o man! I struggled wildly and spent $80 bucks to get my junk seat in the 100’s. Turns out all I have to do is go to the Joe store and I can get row 6 for $100 and a bonus tee shirt to boot.

I don’t know what to say there was no premium ticket option on the Joe site prior to the Bone ticket release I had no way of knowing to chill out and wait. Some sort of heads up would have been nice.

I go ahead and buy another ticket from the Joe store, the seats were just too good to pass up. I’m into this show $200 bucks now and all I can say is I hope my new seat is on the left.

“Did somebody say, keep on rocking!?”

alexandrecaetano All good here man, I've got a few new songs coming out soon so BEware, lol, or stay tuned rather. BTW you got a cool website.
lyrics I know this has probably happened to several of you guyz......people come up to you and say, "I could come up with some words to go with your music" like we are totally incapable of providing lyrics, and as if we don't have the talent to write lyrics. I think it is cool to listen to our instrumental music and develop an interpretation of the song and even come up with lyrics to it, as someone posted earlier. But I think some people just don't get the fact that when we write a song as an instrumental that's what it is. Am I being to critical, I find it almost an insult when people tell me that stuff, like my talent just fell short of writing some lyrics down and published a whole CD without lyrics.
