I have been waiting and waiting to find out when Joe would be coming to South Florida. Now I read in a local paper that tickets will be going on sale on Friday (7/30). I was hoping that we would be able to get the "Joe tour pkg." with preferred seating, etc. Will this be happening for Pompano Beach date?

I listen to "surfing with the Alien" over and over and over....I WANT TO SEE JOE UP CLOSE!!!!

QUESTIONS THAT REALLY NEED ANSWERS..

1. Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?"

2. Who was the first person to say, "See that chicken there? I'm gonna eat the next thing that comes outta it's butt."

3. Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

4. If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a song about him?

5. Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?

6. Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

7. Why does your OB-GYN leave the room when you get undressed if they are going to look up there anyway?

8. Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!

9. If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that Acme crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?

10. If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

11. If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from?

12. If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

13. Why do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

14. Stop singing and read on..........

15. Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup?

16. Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him on a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

17. Does pushing the elevator button more than once make it arrive faster?

18. Do you ever wonder why you gave me your e-mail address in the first place?

DCK: I hear you on internet tabs! Even $30 tab books of an album are crap a lot of the times. I think one of the most frequently mis-tabbed songs is "Money For Nothin'" by Dire Straits....I've seen that thing tabbed soooooo wrong, and I've seen almost every guitar player play that thing wrong. Seems like most guys try to play it with a pick and a wah, when it's fairly obvious that it was played with fingers and a rolled off tone knob.....because it's Mark Knopfler for christ sake!! haha! When's the last time he played a solo with a pick? People scare me sometimes with their lack of basic observation skills. I was recently asked by a student to teach him the solo to a Pearl Jam song (the one that has the lyrics "I'm still alive") I openned up the tab book to the part in the song where the solo started...and it was comically wrong like the transcriber was listenning to another song haah! That's when I pitched the book into the corner and said "okay give me the cd" haah!

Other transcription stuff makes me crazy...like for example, about 75% of the time Hendrix and SRV did not pick a single string at a time, but would instead fret one note, mute the other 5 with their left(right for Jimi) and strum through all 6 strings to create a massive percussive sound around a single note. You'll never see this notated any where, which seems crazy to me, because if you pick the notes in an SRV or Jimi song, often times it sounds candy-ass and wrong, becuase you have to play it like them to acheive similar tone....alright rant over. Peace out!

I just got my tix to Joe's recently added concert at the Keswick Theater near Philly, PA... It'll be my first time seeing him in concert. If it is anything like the Live from San Francisco or G3 concerts that I've seen on DVD it should be AWESOME... Then again, with Joe- it'll be awesome no matter what!

I have been studying guitar and gigging in the Philly area for several years now, and am looking forward to hearing Joe in concert- he is one of the most gifted, innovative guitarists ever to play the instrument.

Keep on rockin' Joe! I 'll see you in October!

John from Philly

P.S.- How do I enter the drawing for the backstage VIP passes to meet Joe?? I checked the Tour listing and didn't see the Philly date listed yet...
