All you guys raving about Robben Ford and Johnny A, check out Joe Bonamassa "Blues Deluxe" you will not be disappointed.
I stand corrected on my previous posting re "Yngling" the new Olympic sailing category!!! It is a category open to women only!!! There is however a male sailing category called "Solo Fin(n)" class. That could mean one of two things, competitors reeling off ridiculously difficult Jon Finn licks on the guitar of their choice, or as mentioned before for Yngling, overweight spandex clad competitors reeling off diminished harmonic minor scales as shown here by Finnish speed merchant Timmo Tolki of Stratovarius...

Well, I guess it's been a while since I posted; sorry if I've missed any questions or whatever. Had a lot of shit to do this past week...

But, I have a feeling it's going to be a good day today. I just woke up and I went to see if I had any mail (like I do every morning), and I did. I thought to myself "Just once I want to get a letter that isn't either demanding money off of me or trying to sell me something". And behold: a tax rebate!!!! Fucking awesome!!! I am now £80 richer; not a huge amount of money by any means, but it's not bad at all.

Question for everyone - I need to know where I can by myself some Spandex trousers. I'm serious. I just started a band with a bunch of mates from college, and we're going to be a kind of tribute to the 1980s and the whole shred movement which should be a right old laugh. Myself and Danny (the other guitarist) were talking about it the other night in the pub and we've decided to go all the way with it; Spandex, mullet wigs, maybe even a bit of make-up. So it's clearly not an entriely serious venture in an effort to 'make it', but we're still going to make sure that we actually play well. I came up with the name: we're going to be called Shredelicious... Anyway, I've had a look on Ebay and all I can find is hooker trousers; you know, those black PVC type things. Suitably cock rock, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get into them, and since they're made for women they'll be a bit of a weird fit if I do manage it. So does anyone have any idea where I could find some Spandex trousers? Preferably with a choice of colours... lol

Whilst we're on the subject of cock rock/Spandex: I HAVE EUROPE TICKETS!!!!!! They're playing at the Hammersmith Apollo on November 15th. Those who don't go simply have bad taste in music. End of story.

SuppaDave You're welcome bro' ;-)

AdrianOrb 1.86m eh ? Now that really is something that I never knew or bothered to find out - thanks. You'd have noticed that I didn't put my weight in the post -lol :-)

MariMari I have to say that as an all rounder Bumblefoot is the man for me, he's just my kind of twisted - lol. I don't think he has ever played in the UK.......... he's played in France a few times but I guess that is because he endorses Vigier guitars. I'd love to see him one day, but a DVD would be good in te mean time :-) You're a bluesy kinda of a girl aren't you ? Have you listened to Greg Koch ? One of my current favourites at the moment. Check him out.

Jazzzzzzzy I'm glad that your meet and greet was such a chilled event. Congrats man.

Yoda What's wrong with a catsuit like Justin ? lol........ Dude, I'm sure that if the taxman knew that's what you were going to spend the money on he wouldn't have given it back to you !!!!!!

Yoda, who is on guitar for Europe these days?? I actually liked the oldest Europe stuff (pre-commercial stuff) with John Norum on guitar. Did not care for Kee Marcello era Europe music but Kee is a good player. His instructional video is still one of my favorites.

Master Yoda I have no idea bout' spandex trousers...but personally I would try House of Spandex...and then when I wake up, I'd try a place that sells like gym equipment and stuff...you might get some funny looks...but who cares...

Good luck with the new venture, and don't take any crap of anyone who tries to diss them mullet wigs...(cause hey atleas your not growing a mullet), just think in the future when your grand kids see pictures of you and try to take the piss you can say...

"hey, I served our country rocking it up on the front line, and if I had to wear a mullet wig and spandex trousers, to do so then so be it...what have you done for this country you little punks?!"...

In other breaking news, I was given Dream Theaters, Live Scenes From New York DVD, and I haven't watched it yet because my dad is replacing door frames still...so I'm waiting till the cracking of wood and banging of nails has stopped.

Zenfish: Women & children last. Drink first.... lol brotha, I see what you mean, but I really do believe and have faith that Ed is waiting for the right moment to bring it back!!.... We shall wait and see, and he's also working on Wolfgang, so maybe that is the next route.... Only time will tell....

cuthbert1776: Thanks for the clarification man, lol, I can tell you that Jewish-American Princess is a word I've not heard before, but to post it that way JAP or jap makes no difference.... It is very easy (especially on the net) to come across the wrong way, as you know.... No harm done bro, and its great to see your a RacerX fan!! :-)

jblaze1: I hear ya man, and I guess I've been away from the states too long not to understand.... That is a very touchy word (especially over here) no matter how you spell it, lol!!.... Thanks for the explanation (as cuthbert1776 also explained) and I can see how it might cause some anger towards those types.... It's all good man, you didnt upset me at all, I just wanted to make sure I was standing up for the Land Of The Rising Sun, lol ;-)

btw, I know you really like Asian women, and thats what surprised me the most.... I thought you were smokin' crack or somethin', haha!! ;-) Now, for more important matters:

jblaze1 for guitar and camera guard

SupaaDave: Shit, lol man, I missed your post!!.... Tornado Alley sounds like a great name, and Typhoon Alley would work too, lol!! ;-) Tear it up man!!....

opticalstudio / ATN: Hope that T2J cd gives you guys some inspiration!!.... We will be on Pt. II !!!! :-) ROCK!!.... And Steven.... Have fun with the DXMG!!....

OME: Ron Thal vids are at http://www.bumblefoot.com/video/....

michelle: CONGRATS on getting the cd!!!!.... T2J peeps ROCK!!!! :-)

little bird: We are very sorry to hear the terrible news, and be strong girl, we are here for you!! :-)

jazzzzzzzy: Thanks for sharing your backstage experience, and CONGRATS again!!....

Master Yoda: Wish I could help ya on the Spandex, but.... ;-)

SOTD: Where Do I Fit In (from Mr. Big' Hey Man).... Paul Gilbert can play the blues like no other, and not many know that, cept' for mikesb, cuthbert1776 and a few others, lol!!.... I love the solo in that song, it encapsulates Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy Page all in one!!!!.... Then you can play Out Of The Underground from that same album and get buried, lol!!!!.... I love how he flicks the 5 way at the end of the solo in the middle for effect, haha!!.... Paul Gilbert must be on G3, he is SICK!!!!

....Now I must get ready for work!!.... T2J will not let me sleep!!!! ;-)

AussieRGMan: I still don't have the new CD. I haven't seen it anywhere yet, which probably means it hasn't been released here yet so you'll have to buy it online from an overseas site.

I just went to http://www.sanity.com.au and they have it listed as being released Monday 23/08/04 (2 days ago) so I'm wrong. Dude, go into sanity (or wherever) and pick it up there!

A friend of mine was plucking away on guitar playing "Tears In Heaven" talking to another guy about it when he said something about "Tears In The Rain" and started playing that. That would have to be the first time I've heard someone (not me) play Satch since about 2001.

VFROCKER - I agree with you on Lynch. I have all the old Dokken stuf and the Lynch Mob stuff. I listened to a few clips from LyncPilson and didn;t care for that but I am eager to hear the new one. He has a style that is unique.

MICHELLE - Reading while driving an old hooptie ain't too good of an idea either!!

DELFINO - You might have sais B3 as a joke, but I would be down for that. God damn I love the Bassoon. Wicked instrument, one of my fav's.

YODA - The band sounds like a hoot. For spandex try emailing the Iron Maiden site. I THINK THEY STILL WEAR THEM (depressing, but I love those guys). Tickets to Europe? man, haven't heard that name in a while. I have Final Countdown on VINYL. lol Their guitarist was good though. Have fun.

MikeSBYeah man, Greg Koch is awesome, I wasn't really aware of his character until I watched the 'Guitar Gristle' DVD (I got the CD later).......... dude, he killed me, one funny guy and it's strange that you should mention MK, becuase that is one of the first things I thought a MK/GK album, they are so alike in terms of being twisted and having that same original approach to music............ bro', I never got as far as throwing IA into the equation !!........ Can you imagine being in a room with those guys ? I reckon you'd be scarred for life - lmao ;-)

Mikey Now I must get ready for work!!.... T2J will not let me sleep!!!! ;-) ??!! You mean you go to work to go to sleep bro' ? ha ha lmao. ;-)

Civgeek I have to say, I'm not really diggin' Furious George' as much as Wicked Sensation........... a totally different album admittedly........ I'll have to give it a few more listens........... the guy's still got it though ;-)

Ok I've been looking around on Ebay, and I've come to the conclusion that Bigsby bridges/tremolo arms LOOK easy enough to fit onto a telecaster.
In all cases of wanting to change a bridge of a guitar, is it easy say for example you wanted to change a floyd rose to an edge pro or if you had the same desire as me and wanted to fit a bigsby tremolo onto your fixed bridge telecaster would you do it yourself (after studying up) or would you take it to a specialist and pay for it to be fitted?

I'm interested because as I may have stated months ago I am interested in making my own custom guitar once I have a bit more know how. And one of my desires is to have a bigsby on my telecaster and maybe put a 24-fret neck on it (however the neck may mean either removing the neck pickup or moving it back a "wee bit" lol).

Whatchu guys think?

I also noticed a "one of a kind" green Jem on Ebay.com...no ones bid on it and I think its got like a day left or something if anyones interested.

I also noticed a few JS-1's on both Ebay.com and .co.uk if anyone is interested in them.

Does anyone know the model number of the chromeboy that Joe had stolen?...just so I can keep my eye out for it seeing as I am almost constantly on Ebay lol

Delfino

[Edit] Civgeek I kid thee not! I am all for instruments being taken out of the usual context, for example that dude who had his link posted on here, playing "Eruption" on the violin, that's what I like to see, transferring a musical style onto an instrument that is not a convention of the genre.
But imagine the solos you can get out of a bassoon...

Did everybody hear about the Dave Mathew's Band Tour Bus incident in Chicago?

Apparently Chicago PD has determined that his bus did dump the waste into the river and onto people.

I heard on the radio that he/tour bus is being fined quite a bit of money for this.

As a side joke, his ice cream from Ben & Jerry's may be changed to Falling Chunks (just a rumor)

VFRrocker: hehe, I meant that sleep is needed to get ready for work..ahhhh!!.... What the hell am I 'splainin' for, lol!! ;-) I'll catch you on email later this week bro....

Adrianorb: lol man, I heard a bleep of that story on the radio (btw, I happen to be a big DMB fan, lol), and I dont see how anyone can blame the band also.... It was a leased bus, and why the hell would the band ask the driver to do such a devious deed??.... I'm sure Do The Stu will have more info ;-)

mowlie_2000: Absolutely nothing, lol!! ;-)

Paul Gilbert for G3.... From now on, I'm sticking with Paul.... He is the most logical choice, and he is the most deserving.... And he is the most Terrifying!!!! :-0

Jazzzy: Wow! That was an awesome backstage experience! I'm so glad you had a great time and were able to spend some time talking to Joe. Thank You so very much for thinking of me and mentioning me to Joe! I can't thank you enough! :))) I hope I get to be "one of Joe's photograhers" I will keep trying!

Ovation: Thanks for believing in me Mikey. I think everything will fall into place in time. Every show I shoot is a learning experience for me. I know I can be better and I will. I'm so grateful that I am getting photopasses for my upcoming shows. Jazzzy mentioned me to Joe!!! He knows who I am!! he-he! That's so awesome!! :)))

Death Cube K: Thanks and same to you bro! Are you on the T2J CD? I'm not sure who some people are since it has their real names. Congrats on 2203! Wow!

Joeman9: Wow, school has started early for you but you will get out sooner next year! Good luck getting back in the groove. I'm glad to hear you have some good classes.

VFRocker: Yes, I'm a bluesy kinda girl! I love the blues! I'll def check out Greg Koch! Thanks for the tip. I'm looking forward to hearing more of Bumblefoot. I hope he does some shows soon. I'll keep you posted on him! Maybe Joe will have him in the next G3? hmmmm.

Way to go Jazzy......I wish I could have gone to that show, but driving 500 miles round trip on a work night just would not have been wise.

If Joe comes back this way on his "Evening With" tour (HINT-HINT)...I'll make sure to get the next day off so my girl and I can chill in a hotel room after the show. Please come back"Joe"...Lela needs to see you play live ;)

Ovation.....cool...thanks for the thumbs up on the band name. I thought of it years ago but had never seemed to be in the right situation to use it. The other two guys like it so it's official. Yes, we are a "Power Trio"....something I've always dreamed of doing, but would actually prefer to have a guitarist/keyboard player....similar to Eric Caudieux's role in Joe's previous band. Ahh...I can dream can't I ? lol.....Eric Caudieux is a mountain of talent...I miss him in the band.

Zenfish....have you heard ZZ Top's album "Tejas" ? Smokin' album..check it out ! My favorite song on that album is "El Diablo"......way too cool......
