Master Yoda- is Alberts Music in Guildford the little shop where it sells loads of LPs for a quid each? I've been in that place, if so!

Clarky, I answered your cover/tribute query earlier today. What is your take on the topic?
Zach, are you still lurking here sometime in "phantom mode"? How are ya man, I owe you an e-mail. Have you heard the Johnny Hiland album yet? It is killer, later dude....

Quote of the day: "bang the head that doesnt bang"

starqte: forgive my rude behaivour. But seriously is this a joke? I have had tonnes of relation problems too. You know, there are many people on T2J who are willing to help (they helped me). And why all the fretting? Youre going to watch Joe play live, thats the best treatment ever! Also, you dont want to introduce yourself to Satch as a little whiny you know what. I hope to see a post that has taken some effort not some copy and paste BS that you have been feeding us. That way, we will all win :-)

Song of the day: Elliot Smith - Between the bars

Bede - You can vote for the songs you want Joe to play by filling out your setlist (in the Interact section of the site). It's too late for your choices to affect what Joe does on this tour, though.

bahduh - "staryqte/the bob.......what the hell is wrong with u people?"

The Bob didn't do anything...

I'll listen to the Symphony X CD either tonight or tomorrow, okay? I'll get back to you...

mikesb - "the whole tribute album thing generally rubs me the wrong way"

Do you like Aerosmith at all? If so, this is a very cool tribute album. It's a double-disc collection of underground metal bands doing versions of Aerosmith songs from 1973-1982.

I tend to like orchestral or bluegrass tribute albums more than "regular" tribute albums. As you said, a lot of the tribute albums out there sound too similar to the original music.

mikesb - What Symphony X albums do you have? Which one is your favorite?

...Austin...

Joe: I am going to be in attendance to your show in Pompano Beach Florida. I am so pumped to see you live for the first time I am counting down the days. I am going with two other friends of mine and on behalf of all of us we wanted to request a performance of Love Thing. We you can play it if it is you're will.Love thing was the first song I had ever heard of yours and it is the song that got me into your music. See you at the show.

Suzie, hehe, no problem.....most people who like to think they know EVERYTHING about cars haven't heard of the Porsche 962, so you're 100% forgiven!
Jelly Man, thanks for your feedback. I'm quite tempted to order this stuff from GAK now. I mean yeah, apalling service, as I thought, but if I can get a hundred quid or so knocked of my sound card and guitar, I'll be smiling!

Clarify something for me - they messed you around, you had to change your mind and get something different, but you paid less, and when it finally did arrive, it was undamaged? That's an okay deal if that's the case!

Yoda, crushingday62, thanks for your input gents!

Austin, I have ALL the Symphony X stuff and Michael Romeo's solo album too... (What can I say I am a sick man)

My fave is "The Odyssey" followed closely by "V"

I have not heard that particular Aerosmith tribute but imagine that most of the songs are totally reworked, or at a minimum represent a complete genre shift so I am somewhat cool with that., like some of the cooler Zeppelin tributes. I also love the instrumental "Pickin on" series. Love pickin on Zeppelin Vol II. That is truly putting a whole "genre" shift to the songs as well as making it 100 percent instrumental so that is cool as well.

Suzie - Nah, it's a little musical instrument shop. They sell mostly dodgy budget versions of stuff. Like electric guitar packages for £80 and that kind of thing. Although they did have an interesting looking Bodrhan drum with the Guinness insignia on the head, which appealed to me somewhat. No idea how to play one of those things though, so it would have been a bit of a waste of money! lol

Hello Joe Well were do I begin, my name is Arnulfo Salinas I'm 41yrs. old and soon to be 42 on October 25th so I thought of something special to do on my birthday or around my birthday.I was checking out your web-site and seen that you will be in Austin Texas again for the 30th.I seen you twice at the Austin City Music Hall first time was with Steve Via & John Petrucci then you had Eric Johnson come out at the end that was excellent. Then I seen you at the same venue with Steve Via & Dream Theatre another great show.I was living in Austin Texas part of 2002 & 2003 but I had to come back home to Lincoln Nebraska due to my father's Health condition he is 80yrs. old and he is Diabetic. He had a bought with colon Cancer but is doing fine he live's with me and I take care of him.Well enough of my situation I miss Austin Texas for two reason's the music scene and the fact that I play guitar and have been playing since 6th grade for a very long time. You are one of very few guitar player's that inspire me with my playing I know several of your song's but I tend to write my own.I play a black LesPaul through a Randall head and roland processer gp8 I then run this through my four track and from the four track to my computor. Then I mix everything down and burn my own c.d.'s. The only thing I do is work take care of my father and play my guitar and write music.I have'nt done nothing much for the past 2yrs. for the reason of my father. So when I seen you are going to be in Austin I said to myself that I have to go see Joe Satriani again.Since you don't come close to the midwest I will travel 4 states to see my mentor Nebraska.Kansas,Oklahoma.Texas.I have my ticket's and will be in Austin the 29th so I just wanted to say I'm a very dedicated fan and I'm looking forward to enjoying the show. CactusTex Arnulfo Salinas p.s. keep the inspiration going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

typically you need to order your tickets from Ticketmaster, from the venue box office, or if you get a package deal, you can find out how by going to the Road section - towards the top there is a link about it.

Good luck.

Zinc Master, Thanks so much for your answer. I will try that. But I've gone to the Road section before and couldn't figure it out. I would like to get at least one Premium package, maybe even 4.

It says they went on internet sale on 09-29 and pre sale on 10-01, but I can't figure out how to get them. I called ticket master but they only have the regular tickets not premium package and they don't go on sale with them until 10-08. Do you know of a phone number I could call to help with the Premium package sale???

stringless obsession

you need to purchase the package deals from

http://www.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/artist?artistName=Joe+Satriani&categoryName=Tickets&sourceCode=JSAWEB

or simply www.fanfire.com (search for satriani)

some of the shows have closed the package deals already - you may be too late - not sure.
