OCPS470 Cheers, I got a friend who picked up the guitar recently, he's a lefty but plays a right-handed guitar lol...Doesn't seem to bother him though :-)

Whats a professional way of saying, like..."So...what can you do? and what do you want to learn, anything specific?" kinda thing? lol

WOW I just bouught the "Strange, Beautiful" SACD and I must say it is awesome to listen to that disc in multichannel!! I have a fairly modest system but that disc makes it sound like I've got a $30,000 system...Joe, you should see about getting "Alien" and maybe some others re-released on SACD....

...and the rest of you Satch fans should get this disc and a SACD player to play it on!

Mari: Thanks for posting the set list. He played Motorcycle driver! Thats one of favorites. Crystal Planet, Extremist, EOC and Flying in a bad dream (hehe) are my favorite albums. SBM is priceless too.

I cannot wait to see Joe again! 3 times! This will be the Holy trinity of concerts!

Larreye, you could start out wiht a Boss DS-1. That should help with the smooth overdrive tone. Joe has used a DS-1 or a pair of DS-1s a lot in the past.

I find that using a neck pickup with the tone full on gives it that aquious tone, while using the bridge pickup turns the overdrive into crunch for things like Time and A Train Of Angels.

Also, to get a proper Joe tone you could get a set of his pickups......DiMarzio PAF Pro for the neck position and DiMarzio Fred for the bridge.

Hope that helps!

962: Pretty much every boss pedal is in the GT-6. I highly recommend that because the individual Boss pedals cost so much these days. The boss gt6 is built like a tank too. Its gonna last you a lifetime. Some artists are giving up their racks for the gt6 (like marty friedman and Jon donais). Just a recommendation!

Jazzy, DCK re Kalan Porter, I am afraid you cannot count on me, see my 12 year old daughter is infatuated with Kalan. I cannot have blood on my hands...

I will help foot the bill for a hit man though!!!LOL

Seriously Jazzy, Kalan is an accomplished musician/violinist that entered that competition on a lark and look what they have done to him!!!!

962- Will get the DVD soon! I do have the CD though.

Michelle- hope the knee has eased up somewhat; the show sounded amazing!

Clarky- thanks for the explanation, I do know what you mean about throwing guitars around- to me I suppose it's more (like 962 said) about seeing the guitar meet its doom that is upsetting. But like you say, he's just putting on a show and doesn't care what people think anyway! The album title "Concerto Suite," as you explained, is a bit nonsensical, but I loved the album nonetheless.

On a different topic... has anyone out there tried out either the Gibson or Epiphone Ace Frehley Les Paul? Obviously the price between the two varies by a lot! But although the Epiphone can be bought for under 500 quid it still has 3 diMarzio humbuckers. Can't be bad, I thought?

I love (early) KISS music and was always a bit of an Ace fan.

Sex In The Dark

There was this couple that had been married for 20 years. Every time they made love the husband always insisted on shutting off the light. Well, after 20 years the wife felt this was ridiculous.

She figured she would break him out of this crazy habit. So one night, while they were in the middle of a wild, screaming, romantic session, she turned on the lights.

She looked down... and saw her husband was holding a battery-operated pleasure device... a vibrator! Soft, wonderful and larger than a real one. She went completely ballistic.

You impotent bastard," She screamed at him, "how could you be lying to me all of these years? You better explain yourself!" The husband looks her straight in the eyes and says calmly: I'll explain the toy . . . you explain the kids."

sorry for the all caps

A MAN ESCAPES FROM PRISON WHERE HE HAS BEEN FOR 15 YEARS. HE BREAKS INTO A HOUSE TO LOOK FOR MONEY AND GUNS AND FINDS A YOUNG COUPLE IN BED.

HE ORDERS THE GUY OUT OF BED AND TIES HIM TO A CHAIR. WHILE TYING THE GIRL TO THE BED HE GETS ON TOP OF HER, KISSES HER NECK, THEN GETS UP AND GOES INTO THE BATHROOM.

WHILE HE'S IN THERE, THE HUSBAND TELLS HIS WIFE: "LISTEN, THIS GUY'S AN ESCAPED CONVICT, LOOK AT HIS CLOTHES! HE PROBABLY SPENT LOTS OF TIME IN JAIL AND HASN'T SEEN A WOMAN IN YEARS.

I SAW HOW HE KISSED YOUR NECK. IF HE WANTS SEX, DON'T RESIST, DON'T COMPLAIN, DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU. SATISFY HIM NO MATTER HOW MUCH HE NAUSEATES YOU. THIS GUY IS PROBABLY VERY DANGEROUS. IF HE GETS ANGRY, HE'LL KILL US. BE STRONG, HONEY. I LOVE YOU"

TO WHICH THE WIFE RESPONDS: "HE WASN'T KISSING MY NECK. HE WAS WHISPERING IN MY EAR. HE TOLD ME HE THOUGHT YOU WERE CUTE, AND ASKED IF WE HAD ANY VASELINE. I TOLD HIM IT WAS IN THE BATHROOM. BE STRONG HONEY. I LOVE YOU TOO!!"

Jazzzzzy- 962-Right on about the Boss Gt-6!..I use that sound engine! They are seriously road and studio freindly!..And can take lots of abuse(but dont kick it everyday)lol..Neal Schon also uses one ...There is A way that You can get A daisy-chain effect and "morph" in and out of patches, And while performing, Can manipulate each sound and effect pattern and do incredible "on the fly" Stuff that is just to awkward with A 1000 stompboxes!...It really is incredible!...Thank's for mentioning it!...ALAXANDRE- I am really glad to hear about Your progress!...all the "guitar" workshops around here just suck!...really, around these parts if'n You are a guitar player, good luck! Everyone want's POP or RAP if You dont like that, Leave the bay area!...how narrow minded Eh?...Wish I was in your area Hee! Hee!....Glad all is well!...........DCK- Hi, Just wondering how Your CD is coming along?...How many tracks are planned?......MICHELLE- Hi- Just had to say I am glad Your doing Better!...I am 43 and While rehearsing the other day, I felt good on this solo, And was standing in My Cool shred stance-When "ouch" I turned slightly, and got A cringe in My back screwed everything all up...Oh the signs of the times!....Well Heres to staying fit!........................BAUDHUH- Hey My Freind, I sent you some e-mails...Hope your computers come back from cyberspace.....Also Heres well wishes and Prayers on the new arrival!....Trust Me, I know! That is a full time job right there!...Tell the Mrs. hi from Me and to hang in there!........OVATION1- Mike, I know You told me that you have got to spend more time with the Family and guitar, and Tj2 was sort of in the way of that...But Were still here for Ya'...And wishing You all the best for You and family. And I would like to say Right on for your dedication to the Guitar stuff!....SO if You see this?!...Echo-chamberd Cheer's and best regards!...........CLARKY- It looks like I will have to wait, that deal is no more!...Anyway i dont think that was a great amp anyway, No disrespect to Marshall, But I would love to find another brand, There has to be some that are just as dynamic as the JC and JX series. I get a pretty decent tone out My "old' set up with the new rewiring and cables and stuff, Maybe if I replaced the radio shack 10's and put Celestion 12's....Hmmmm?........
