DEAR JOE ,
I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF YOURS FOR ALONG TIME. I'VE SEEN YOU NUMEROUS TIMES AND STILL CANNOT MEET YOU. THE LAST THREE TIMES YOUR BUS JUST PULLED AWAY. IN PHILLY ON THE 1ST G-3 A DRUNK GUY IN FRONT OF ME HIT YOUR BUS,SO THE MANAGER CLOSED THE DOOR AND OFF YOU WENT. THIS LAST G-3 CONCERT I HAD MY LITTLE BOY WITH ME AND THE DAMN BUS PULLED AWAY AGAIN. IT WAS KIND OF HARD TO TELL A 9 YEAR OLD THAT LOVES YOUR MUSIC WHY YOU DIDNOT STICK AROUND AND GET TO MEET YOU. THE NEXT TIME THAT YOU ARE IN NORTH CAROLINA PLEASE TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME TO MEET YOUR FANS. A YOUNG FAN CALLED CAMERON WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Mick, I was down for the count since Sunday night. It was a looong week, but now I know a few things. I know I should go to the dr. when I've had a killer sinus headache for over a month, because 10 times out of 10, it's a wicked sinus infection. I know that if the dentist makes me keep my mouth open WIDE for a long period of time, I could later yawn and dislocate my jaw. I know how bad that hurts, even if it was just for 2 minutes. I know that taking Vicoden on a semi empty stomach is a very, VERY bad thing. I know that not taking a shower for 3 days is not very pretty. I've learned that my sofa looses it's comfort after laying on it for 10 hours. But I also know that I have the best husband in the world who left work immediately to come home and take care of me when I needed him to. So even though I'm 344 posts behind, I really didn't skip a beat. lol! I'm all better now, but I'm still afraid to yawn or sneeze. lol!
Mikey baby! Glad your back!
Slan, hope you're feeling better and are on your way to recovery.
Mari, go forth and conquer!
I just skimmed the last page or two, so if I missed something, and I know I did, I'll get back to it over the weekend.
Night peeps!

i am always excited.
mikey: Kotzen is smooth as butter. His voice is soothing and soulful. I am surprised he is not a big name. People spend money on crap like matchbox 20, five for fighting, train and all that soccer mom type music. Richie deserves way better. He has got that Hendrix thing going on for him.
michelle: get well soon. take care.

Joe you must really love Chicago. 3 shows in a row, it must be a record for this toddlin' town. And it's on my birthday. YES. And it's at the House. Of Blues of course. Were gonna rock that night for sure! I mean on Sat. night. The 23rd that is. Although my birthday is on the 27th. It's close enough :):):0:0
WOW. You know what I mean!

Hi there :) Great show on the first of July in France.
I've got a little question... I have a web page where I put a Satch section, and I'd like to add sound to it, but I know I can't put your songs in MP3.
What can I do ? Is it allowed to put small pieces of some tunes ? Cause if I have to play these songs all by myself it might take long and not sound the same :D
Keep playing, "Is there love in space ?" is a really great album. "Souls of distrosion" and "Gnahhh" are two classics which are constantly running and looping in my CD player.
Stefan.

Wow... I just got back from the New York Dolls concert a few minutes ago. They absolutely blew me away. I'm writing a review of the show (and tomorrow's [today's] show) for my school paper, so instead of writing a separate review here I'll just link to that later this week. I will make one comment, though. Man...David Johansen looks OLD. I know he is old, but that's not the point. He looked worse than Mick Jagger and Keith Richards...that really surprised me. He moved all around the stage and was really into the show, though...so all was good.
Oh...I have to mention one more thing. Has anyone heard of The Chelsea Smiles? They opened the show. They were UNBELIEVABLE. Todd Youth from Danzig sings and plays guitar for the band, and the other members are from other bands as well. The band is two guitars, bass, drums, and harmonica... Their style of playing reminds me a lot of Guns N Roses or early Aerosmith, with the way they have the two guitars working together and exchanging leads all the time... They were so full of energy...it was awesome.
If these guys are playing near you, definitely check them out. :-)
jelly man - I downloaded motionblur's bootleg, but I haven't yet had a chance to listen to it. I'll get to it soon. ;-)
mick87 - "Hey Austin... how have you been?"
I've been BUSY...hehe. Well, actually, most of this semester has been calm...I'm just in the middle of a busy weekend. ;-)
School is going well...I've gone to a lot of awesome concerts recently...life is good. Thanks for asking. How are things on your end? How's school going?
michelle - "I've learned that my sofa looses it's comfort after laying on it for 10 hours."
Ten hours, eh? Were you the sofa king?
We Todd did...

Well today has sucked so far and its only 13:42pm...I got up expecting to have "Fable" on my door mat ready for me to play...with it not there I quickly look to see if it has been despatched yet on amazon.co.uk only to find the release date has been pushed back to next week...not only that but I am feeling so ill right now its confusing, I was recovering from my cold and all I've been having for the past few days was a slight cough...but now its like I've re-collected an entire cold along with aching muscles, fatigue and migrane....oh what a weekend this is going to turn out to be...
hope everyone's weekend is better than mine...

Clarky - I'm not too sure what time we will be sound checking as I normally dont find out until a day or so before the show. Once I know I will holler and let you know. It would be great to meet up with you even if it was only for an hr or so.

Delfino, if the release date has been pushed back once, it'll probably happen again. Expect Fable in about a month. It sucks, I know....just as long as it doesn't happn on the scale that it did with Vai's Astoria DVD - that was about a year and a half late! hehe
Anybody else into law-enforcement/military counter-terrorism type stuff? Anybody else read Rainbow Six and the like? if so, check out Chris Whitcombe's Cold Zero. It's the best book i've read. It's an autobiographical insight into the FBI and it's Hostage Rescue Team.....very interesting. You get the insider account of Ruby Ridge and the Branch Davidians at Waco!
I loved John Kerry's job at the debate last night! Also, Bush said "We never expected Saddam Hussein to disarm". I have a .wav file on my PC which I downloaded, for use in the latest project of myself and my friend Al, and it's a recording of George W saying "we expect Mr Saddam Hussein to disarm".
Vote Kerry......he'd do a better job than monkey-boy, and hopefully it would save Europe; as it stands, George W is probably going to get us all killed, so do us a favor! Please!

Hey Joe,
My first message on the site, have to say it is really cool!
Been playing for over 20 years and still learning new stuff, everytime I watch the live in San Fransisco DVD.
Just a quick question to ask, are you going to be making a stop in Montreal, Canada this year or next year, would be great to see a full show or a G3 show hit town again,if you can would be great to get some feedback.

Hello Satchland! It's the weekend..... woooohoooo!
Michelle: OMG! What a week you had....that's really rough!!
I'm so sorry to hear that you were so sick. I'm relieved to hear you are feeling much better! I'm glad Dave took good care of you. Rest up for Joe....it's just 12 days away!!! It's been a busy week. Monday RJ Dio interview, Tuesday Skynyrd concert and last night UFO in NYC. I met some really cool people! I got Vinnie Moore's guitar pick! He's cute too!
OMG, he can play! I shot about 5 rolls but there were fingers, heads, arms and beer bottles to contend with. I got some good shots but some were just not good. Oh well. I had a blast and they f**in rocked! I'm tired but I'll just take it easy and transcribe the interview today. It's crappy outside so I may as well get on that. It's going in the next issue of the Magazine so my deadline is the end of the 2nd week of Rocktober!
I'm listening to Alterbride, getting ready for their shows on Tues and Thurs. Dio is monday night! Gonna be a Rockin Week! And then next week.. 2 Joe shows! I need to get more vitamins....LOL! I ran out a few weeks ago, they help! ;-))
Opticalstudio: Thank you Steven, you are so kind! Keep practicing and inspiring me. Another guy asked me if I played guitar last night. I can't wait to say yes! It won't be long, just need to get a guitar. He said "maybe one of the guys you interview will give you a guitar" I wish! Thank would be so cool! I'll have one in a few months, just need to save up. I can't wait to start learning. Have a good weekend! Hang in there! ;-)))

Slanshroom: Holy shit Roy! That's one terrible virus! I hope it didn't happen while you were still on holiday. It sounds like you had a really great time! That's so cool about that museum
and that 18th century piano. It must've been incredible to see
something so old and beautiful! The detail must've been amazing especially considering the tools they had back then.
Glad to hear you are on the mend. That sucks that you can't do ANYTHING! lol! Hopefully that won't be too much longer for you. Hang in there! Get well soon! :-)) I met a guy last night whose going to London and Germany soon. He's going to see Nazareth! I said "You sound like me....going to Sweden to see Joe" hehe! I said I have a friend in Spain that's good friends with Nazareth. Maybe they will come to the states soon. I'd love to see them. Someday.....

No bother. I'm working for a magazine (freelance) called 22nd Century Rock. I'm a photographer and writer for them. I met the editor at Joe's show at Jones Beach in LI NY. I interviewed Ronnie James Dio and will be photographing his show on Monday and Alterbrige (Creed) on Thursday! My 1st 2 gigs for the magazine! Pretty exciting stuff! They do have a website if you want to check it out. It's a quarterly mag, it just came out this year. http://22ndcenturyrock.com/ They are giving away a really cool guitar in the next issue, check it out.
