jelly man, hehe, no I just love the Halo story. I'd actually totally forgotten about the good doctor's involvement in the sound track. Thanks for the reminder! I know what you mean about using gamepads for fps, I find it kinda hard. I'm just about used to it for Halo tho.....I got it when it matters! hehe
Austin, oh cool. hehe. Hopefully the old-school lego will be worth a few bob one day. You know, when kids have stopped playing altogether, and all they do is gamble, sell drugs, have unknown children and pop caps in each other's asses!

Jblaze / Optical - I occasionally buy Sound on Sound and a few others [I'll see if I can dig a few up - I can't recall their names off the top of my head]

I'm not a regular buyer of mags... if I'm passing a store and I have time, I'll see if there are guitar, drum, studio/recording mags.. I'll have a little flick through to see if there is anything of interest...

I used to religiously buy Guitarist and Guitar Techniques... but after several years of it I found if mostly going over the same old ground.. I lost interest... and now I only buy it if there is something that catches my eye....
in fact the only reason I really bouhght one of the mags was for a regular article called 'Hoodlum Corner' by Jan Cyrka... I'm always interested in anything he has to say... I'm a great admirer of his work and ideas...

I'll take a look and report back.... but I guess that you guys in the US will have different mags.... just go into a store where you buy your regular shred and smut mags and see if there are any recording / studio mags...

mowlie - yup... I'd like to meet up... plus... if we have enough time you can have a listen to the completed tracks from my album....
yoda - no worries.... I'll call sometime this week if I can...

Champers and Stella... a nice blend of sophistication and violence... a combination I'm partial to my self... especialy when at a nice black tie gathering like a posh kids wedding where you've knocked the shit out of the groom and screwed the bride....

On the processor trip.... would you like to spend some time at my place playing around with the 2120??.. see if you can get tones out of it that interest you?.. I can show you how to program it... I hear that they go for something like 400 to 500 second hand [should find that you like it]...
so if you want to try one out, try mine... you'll have as much time as you like to mess with it all... and I can show you some of the more unusual features... and also show you what it's bad at doing too so you can appreciate the limitations as well as the strengths

and you know it'll end up a jam sesh.... lmao..

Mikey - Artaud is all recorded... sounds pretty nice... I'm very pleased with... completed the first mix.... it's not a bad mix at all... kick drum, hats, rides, one of the synths and the lead guitar are a little loud.... but it's a pretty decent mix none the less...

Two good/strange stories. Didn't know which to post, so I'll post both :)

Updated: 5:31 a.m. ET Oct. 1, 2004 ZAGREB, Croatia - A veteran Croatian hunter was shot by his own hound while preparing to go off into the woods, a newspaper reported on Friday.

Spaso Ivosevic, a hunter in central Croatia since 1957, cleaned and loaded his double-barreled shotgun as usual on Wednesday, the Jutarnji List newspaper said.

Ivosevic briefly leaned the gun against a wall near his house when his 2-year-old dog Lero, chasing chickens through the yard, stormed past and tripped over the shotgun.

It hit the ground and fired, showering Ivosevic with pellets.

The hunter was treated for a fractured leg bone. The fate of Lero was not known.*******

Updated: 5:13 a.m. ET Oct. 4, 2004SYDNEY - A vibrating sex toy in a trash bin sparked a security scare and shut a regional Australian airport for almost an hour, officials said Monday.

An emergency was declared at the airport in Mackay, 500 miles north of Brisbane in tropical Queensland state, after airport staff heard a strange noise coming from the bin, Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio said.

“It was rather disconcerting when the rubbish bin started humming furiously,” cafeteria manager Lynne Bryant said.

Police evacuated the terminal and were about to call in bomb experts when an unidentified passenger came forward to identify the contents of a package left in the bin.

A police spokeswoman said the package was identified as an “adult novelty device.”

Australia has been under heightened security alert since the Sept. 11, 2001, hijacked airliner attacks on the United States and security at major buildings and transport hubs has been tightened even further ahead of an Oct. 9 election.

Three guys, a Canadian, Osama bin Laden, and George W. Bush are out walking together one day. They came across a lantern and a genie pops out of it.

"I will give each of you one wish. That's three wishes total," said the genie.

The Canadian said, "I'm a farmer, my dad was a farmer, and my son will also farm. I want the land to be forever fertile in Canada."

With a blink of the genie's eye, *POOF* the land in Canada was forever made fertile for farming.

Bin Laden was amazed, so he said, "I want a wall around Afghanistan, so that no infidels, Jews, or Americans can come into our precious state."

Again, with a blink of the genie's eye, *POOF* there was a huge wall around Afghanistan with Bin Laden in it.

George W. Bush, said, "I'm very curious, please tell me more about this wall."

The Genie explains, "Well, it's about 15,000 feet high, 500 feet thick, and completely surrounds the country; nothing can get in or out - it's virtually impenetrable."

George W. Bush says, "Fill it with water."

Michelle: Actually, I wanted to spray WITCH on my moms car when Garage first came out. Yes, Everytime I listen to Am I Evil I raise the devil horns and headbang till I hear my neck crack! Question: Should I buy Motley Crue's Greatest Hits? I have to admit, I love Kickstart my Heart and Girls Girls Girls. It would be a good thing to get first hand advice. If you want to listen to some buckethead, get Colma and Electric Tears. They are the two mellow albums he made. Colma is a straight up dark and dreamy album. Electric tears is also very mellow and the unique thing about it is that its got no percussions. Otherwise, if you want a more funky buckethead, you should try getting Population Override. I would suggest you to download a few songs before you think of making a purchase. He's nothing like Joe!

cuthbert, far from it. The decisions made and actions taken by the Bush administration have a massive effect on the rest of the world. It is the naive assumption of the Bush administration that their decisions and actions only have an effect on the US and on the country the actions are taken against, which is likely to get the UN countries in trouble.

There are no surface-to-surface missiles in the middle-east that have the range to reach all the way to the US, so they shall have to make do with lashing out at America's allies.

The same was the problem in the cold war. Many American CRUISE Missiles were based in England, because they couldn't be launched to their target from American soil, and it made the UK a target.

Nuclear war in Europe would not last long. We are not a big continent, and that is something the US usually isn't aware of - that was an unusual quality of Bill Clinton - he had global awareness, and thought about how his national decisions affected the rest of us.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not being anti-american here. That's not the point at all - i'm being anti-bush. He's ignorant, dangerous, and disorganised. He couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery.
