TOALL: Guys, do you think we could keep politics off the forum? I mean, the events of the world are important, but there is so much crap going on in the world, and music (and this forum) are one of the few escapes from this reality. I HATE it when music and politics intertwine. In addition, more often than not, politics results in ugly exchanges on this forum that get old after a while. This isn't a categorical statement, but it seems that most people these days are more interested in hearing themselves talk, instead of having intelligent arguments that back up their political positions....it just gets old after a while.

My name is Elizabeth and my "good-friend," TIM WEBLEY, is a huge fan! You may remember signing his Steve Vai custom at the Tower Records here in Hoffman Estates... ...I even found him an autographed pic of you for him for christmas... ...I have bought tickets for us to see you OCT 22, at the House of Blues in Chicago...

Our relationship is a little undetermined at this time, and I was hoping if you could say a word or two about how "Once you find love, you shouldn't let it go " or something to that effect with his name -- it would show him how much I care and what I'm willing to go through for him -- which is needless to say, BEGGING you for a little help.

I'm sorry this message will be written everyday 'til the 22, since I'm not sure when or if you will even see this. Sorry for the annoyance.

Zinc Master: thanks for putting the jokes up all the time. I cancelled all my joke subscriptions few years ago when I'd seen them all again, and you've been posting some I've never seen.

Poop I missed the bootleg opportunity.

Optical Studio: Rebecca St James came from Australia. (Just some trivia for you!) Also, I was glad to see you mention Superchick. I quite like them too. They have a new CD coming soon.

re that email worm thing: people in the UK are getting dodgy emails from my hotmail address too.

Austin: thanks, but I've sorted that Lego thing out. I found a guy in Melbourne who helped me out.

PhryDom: the lego porn is pretty funny.

Delfino: is "Farm Fiddlin'" that one where he plays in three different styles and has all the animal noises in the middle there? If so, I thought that was a cool song.

V287: "What brand of beanie does Joe wear on the new album? Does anyone know?" I assume you mean on the cover of the album, and not when the music is recorded? The answer to both questions is "I don't know" but thanks for asking an unusual question, it makes a nice change.

Bubbles: congratulations on your non-smoking milestone. Please remind me of that band name you mentioned to Steven so I can check it out tomorrow or whenever I get the time.

Later all, I'm totally knackered (busy week, busy weekend, busy Monday, busy Monday night, still tired) band practice in 20 minutes. BEN

oh yeah, and I've got the song "Blacksmith" by Luti-Kriss (now known as Norma Jean) in my head all day. Only problem with chord riffs that repeat throughout a song is that the song in your head never gets to the ending. It just keeps repeating.

michelle: I surely will buy some Crue! They always struck me as something good. Did you read Motley's The Dirt? Thats a real entertaining book. When you see Sully on stage, throw him some chocolate (you know, heroine and chocolate!).

Artanis I : the group I told Opticalstudio about was The Violet Burning. You can check them out at www.thevioletburning.com Lemme know what you think:) I go WAY back with their music, back when Michael led worship at the Mission Viejo Vineyard ;)

OpticalStudio: Well, let's see here....my current CD's out right now for my "quiet time" in the morning are as follows: the Violet Burning, Chris Lizotte, Marie Barnett, John Barnett and Heather Clark. Chris Lizotte, you HAVE got to check out! He's got a bluesy type of music and leads worship at my church I go to whenever I'm in SoCal. Marie Barnett has the voice of an angel and she is fantastic. John Barnett rocks! And Heather Clark has that whole, what I call, Tori Amos intensity kinda feel to her. Did that even make sense? My favorite CD of Heather's is Undivided Focus.

Lemme know whatcha think:)

HI JOE!!!!!!! Hey, check out my wedding bio, I added your picture and the picture of you, me and my daughter at the Sun Theater way back in 2000! I also added a clip of AWMAWY! Click here to get to it: http://www.theknot.com/co_profileview.htm?profilename=MsBubbles

Anybody know what the M-Audio Midisport 8x8 unit is like? Will it be up to the task of recording guitar tracks?

Yoda, Clarky, you guys seems quite up on this stuff! Any thoughts would be appreciated!

jblaze - yup... smut mags... mags with guitar pics... and all the guitars are not wearing any flight cases or gig bags.... lol..

Zen - I checked out mix: 2 of Artaud this morning.. the snare is a tiny bit too low in the mix and one of the snynths is a touch loud and toppy... I'll cut mix:3 tonight... it's almost there..
Yoda - I'll try to sort something around late Oct / early Nov...
cuthbert / 962 - the UK was always a target... UK has it's own sizable nuclear arsenal.. so, being a nuclear power in our own right and also being the USA's #1 ally when the dirty work needs doing, makes us a target anyhow.. so allowing you guys to deploy cruise here [and other stuff like airbases etc] makes no difference.. so far as USSR is concerned, the UK has always been #2 on the NATO shit list...
optical - those mags are full of little tips and stuff... they're worth a look from time to time...

it's cool your pal is surprised at your sound... just goes to show... he don't know much about EQ or parameterics.. lol..

962 - I've no idea about the MIDISPORT... never used one..

Jazzy, no, I didn't read that book. Tommy Lee has always been one of my favorite people, and Vince Neil has redeemed himself over the past year or so. I always thought Nikki Six was hot, and Mick was a great player. - Do you think that if I swamp the Godsmack site with posts asking Sully to say something onstage like "take your bitches home and throw some ass around" that my husband will realize how much he still loves me? lmao! I think somebody's been reading to many romance novels with Fabio on the cover or something?

Wait, on second thought, that might not work since I'm going with my brother in law. ROTF!! Ain't no ass throwin' goin' on there yo! LOL!

I love a good coffee buzz in the morning :)

Clarky, because a bread box won't fit?

Jblaze, Daffy Duck? lol! I have no idea - who?

Crue at a wedding rocks. We had Crue's "Don't Go Away Mad, Just Go Away", Sam Kinison's "Wild Thing" and Beavis & Butthead w/ Cher doing "I Got You Babe"

We did get a few looks - but it is our wedding right - we paid for everything ourselves - so we did it our way.

Cheer up - life can be a pain once in a while, believe me. Eventually, it will pass, maybe not today, tomorrow or the next day, but it will pass. Chin up.

I used to be on a bunch of email lists too, but now I just get them from friends / relatives. Most of them I do not post here, I try to post entertaining ones, or ones that make you think. I have lifted a few that were posted here and have forwarded them onto my email lists - share and share a like - joke share ware - what a concept, what a great country.

Good morning amigos.

TRUE TALES OF INDUHVIDUALS ==========================

Here are some more true tales of Induhviduals, as reported by vigilant DNRC operatives in the field.

=

While looking at a house, my brother asked the real estate agent which direction was north because, he explained, he didn't want the sun waking him up every morning. She asked, "Does the sun rise in the north?" When another person jumped in and explained that the sun rises in the east (and has for some time), she shook her head and said, "Oh, I don't keep up with that stuff."

=

I used to work in technical support for a 24x7 call center. One day I got a call from an Induhvidual who asked what hours the call center was open. I told him, "The number you dialed is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." He responded, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?" Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh... Pacific."

=

So my colleague and I were eating our lunch in our cafeteria when we overheard one of the admin assistants talking about the sunburn she got on her weekend drive to the shore. She drove down in a convertible, but "didn't think she'd get sunburned because the car was moving."

=

I was in a high school advanced physics class and the teacher was talking about a new military weapon that uses sonic waves on the battlefield to burst enemy soldiers' chests. One Induhvidual in the class spoke up and said, "Well that's stupid! Why don't they just wear headphones?"

=

My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car. It's designed to cut through a seatbelt if she gets trapped. She keeps it in the passenger side door's map pocket.

=

My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed that the cases were discounted 10%. Since it was a big party, we bought two cases. The cashier multiplied two times 10% and gave us a 20% discount.

=

I was hanging out with a conservative friend of mine when we saw a woman walk by us with a nose ring attached to an earring by a chain. My friend said, "Wouldn't the chain rip out every time she turned her head?" I had to explain to her that a person's nose and ear remain the same distance apart no matter which way the head is turned.

=

My girlfriend and I were picking up some sandwiches from the sub place last week and she asked the clerk which one of two sandwiches was better. The clerk didn't have an opinion but did say that the first sandwich was more expensive. My girlfriend got a quizzical look on her face and asked, "If that's the case, why are they both listed with the same price on the menu?" To this, the clerk responded, "I don't think they tax the turkey."

=

I was at a convenience store buying a 99-cent "Behemoth Gulp" or some such thing. The cost with tax was $1.02. I only had a $5 bill. The clerk asked if I had two pennies. I said I didn't. She said, "We'll take a couple from here," and got two pennies out of her penny cup at the register. She handed me back my change: $4 in bills...and the two pennies.

=

I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area. So I went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry because they were trained professionals and I was in good hands. "Now," she asked me, "has your plane arrived yet?"
