Hey everyone :) Can't talk for long because it's getting close to bed time!!! Anyways, how have y'all been? I haven't been on here in a while so I have a lot of catching up to do. I hate that I missed Joe's concert in Atlanta (plus THREE allman brothers concerts). I'm visiting my grandparents in arkansas until friday. I'd love to talk more about myself (hehe :P) but sadly I have to go :( Good night everybody !!! Love, Leanna

alexandre: Hello! I was just listening to White Dog and from the heart. Nice to see you pop in.

cuth: thanks man. In a place like America, where most people take their oppurtunities for granted, it is sometimes hard to look outside the box. I hope this changes because its disturbing to see narcissism in every damn town.

michelle: Vag Rippa says hello. Yes he has been christened now. I poured some beer over him and offered him some picks as communion. He seems content.

My name is Elizabeth and my "good-friend," TIM WEBLEY, is a huge fan! You may remember signing his Steve Vai custom at the Tower Records here in Hoffman Estates... ...I even found him an autographed pic of you for him for christmas... ...I have bought tickets for us to see you OCT 22, at the House of Blues in Chicago...

Our relationship is a little undetermined at this time, and I was hoping if you could say a word or two about how "Once you find love, you shouldn't let it go " or something to that effect with his name -- it would show him how much I care and what I'm willing to go through for him -- which is needless to say, BEGGING you for a little help.

I'm sorry this message will be written everyday 'til the 22, since I'm not sure when or if you will even see this. Sorry for the annoyance.

I'm compiling a christmas list...so far I have two items on it..."Snowball Of Doom" dvd and "Vai: Live at the Astoria"...I think in terms of a "main present" I would like a new amp, as I am currently knowing nothing about amps what would be my best options within a price range of aboot £400?

I found a the Marshall AVTC412A for £279 at sound control is it a good cabinet for its price? I've also found the Marshall AVT50 head for £279...any opinions on this?

Cheers

Suzie, hehe, "962" is a car, made for endurance racing by Porsche! That throws a whole different light on it, huh?! anyway, I'm glad you're getting fun out of the SG. I completely understand the theraputic side too - gunning it on a nice heavy tonal setting after an annoying day at work! Keep on rockin!

Yoda, no problem, cheers, I got it all figured out now anyway!

However, have you ordered stuff from GAK before? If so, did it always arrive in good condition, or was any of it ever broken?!

crushingday62, I've been researching M-Audio gear, and i think i'll go for the Aidosport Quattro, cause it seems more geared to Audio input than Midi input, which is what the Midisport cards seem to be designed for! I'd still be interested to know your thought on the Midisport/USB performance tho!
Nooo, not marshall! hehe, I know it's all a matter of opinion, but I'd say to you as I have said to many others; Hughes & Kettner Edition Blue. And with a 400-pound margin, you could get the 60watt, at about 250 quid!

Actually, this message is to ask you for some exercises (or location for exercises if they can be buy) to play metal phrasing ? Thanks for your music, your answer and sorry for my poor english. bubbles - girlie... ain't seen you for ages... how're ya doin'...

AZ??? I thought you was a Cali girl.....

mikesb - interesting point....
and yes.. I love the version of Diamonds and Rust on Unleashed in the East.... just superb..
also I thought the Priest version of Green Manaleshi [no idea how to spell that one.. lol] is better than the original [which I think may have been Fleetwood Mac]..
did you ever hear the album where all these metal bands do Sabbath covers....???
and there's another one where all these shredders do EVH covers....
if so...
what'd ya think...
Zen - I've been listening to my track "Artaud" quite deeply - obviously because I'm trying to mix the fucking thing... lol...

then I was wondering.. since you are one of the few guys in here that actually knows about him....
do you recall the moment where Artaud re-enacted death by beubonic plague in front of a shock, horrified and mocking audience in Paris.....???
my track depicts that moment of his life.. and the intensity of the idea he was trying to deliver..

when you finally get to hear this track... you may be one of the few people that could connect with it at the spiritual and philosophical level because of you knowledge of the man and his work...
I tried to capture the extremities of his spirit in this one..
and all along it is held together with harmony that is just a little unstable - which I believe resided at the core of his personality..
if I've done my bit well... you should be able to see Artaud in this track.. giving that fatefull lecture in Paris..

this is of course assuming that you don't think the track is utter crap... lmao...

962 - as a proud Londoner.. I can state... most definately... that England is in fact in London....

step out side London in any direction and two things become clear:

1 - you are now abroad

2 - you're now heading north...

England is in London and London is the south pole

Stace - The Punani?... on a morning radio show... have you any idea what that means.... roflmfao.....

sheeeet.... what an awesome show....... sounds really funny...

ha.. so are the girlies right.... do the guys most like it to look like a 6 year old, an ! [lol..], a fresh cut lawn, or as the grand architect intended [which includes being trimmed up just a little so there's no tobaco hanging out all over the place when in a bikini.. but the rest remains natural]...

lol... this is awesome....

Guys...
time for a survey... the reason for this is so that the nice ladies in here know what is the optimum hair style to choose based upon good honest scientific data collection and observation...

6 year old muffin - 0
! - 0
putting green - 0
womanly, as the great one intended - 1

lol..

time for a survey for the ladies..
ignore your stupid fellas opinion and forget pleasing them... please yourself..
what would you really prefer

6 year old muffin - 0
! - 0
putting green - 0
womanly, as the great one intended - 0

I can do science me... lol..

962 - my two experiences ordering from Gak..

1) I order a Line6 AX212 amp (Flextone II but a bit older and a bit higher end)... after about a week of hassling them they tell me they don't actually have any, would I like another one? Yes please I say, I'll have the old-school style Fender Twin amp which they were selling pretty cheap. After a week of hassling they tell me they don't have that one either. But they have the ney pro-tube one which is another £200 to me... I think about it for a bit and then say yes. (got it for £850, which is almost £200 less than their online price...)

2)i order an Ibanez bass guitar... after about a week of hassling them it turns out they don't actually have one. I ask for a different one and get that nice and cheap too... love the machine too...

So all in all, unprofessional service leads to cheaper prices... which suits me to be honest.

optical - some of those mags are really interesting...

I have one that shows how to design an accoutactally perfect studio... it's mindblowing and really really costly...

and there are tips as to how to get the bast out of you home studio.. doing the accoustic thing much cheaper and what the drawbacks would be so you can compensate....

it also pointed out the drawbacks of mixing on cans [which I do but I have no choice]... but it did help me compensate...

Yoda - I've just found out that I will be in Dublin for a week.. could be late October or anytime in November... once I know the dates then I'll be able to work out when you can come over....

I agree on the muffin thing... kojaks and airstrips are for pervs... trimmed up and natural are definately more womanly..
the guys talking about hygene and such bollox is because they are pervs and are trying to dupe their girlies into looking like a lil' baby... yukky...

staryqte - girlie what you're posting is really very sweet... but since you're a newbie in here it's only fair that you know the score... Satch does pop in here on the odd occasion.. and he does reply to people's questions and comments...

but it's rare... very rare....

so if you look in here every day and expect to see your quesion answered.. and it never gets mentioned the next time Satch is in here [which could days days or months away]... please don't be surprised or upset...
that's just how it is....

and try not to take to heart crass comments about being boring or whatever....
you posted the same thing over and over... some people get a little shittie about that sort of thing.....

but when the posts like:
"JOE WHEN YOU COME NEXT IN MY TOWN AT PERU AND YOU COME MY HOUSE MY SISTER IS MAKE GOOD GOOD LLAMA CURRY AND YOU SHOW ME PLAY GUITAR

and they show up 20 time on the spin... lmao.. then ya can't blame 'em...

stay lucky.. I hope all goes well for you...

bahduh: The Bob asked a valid question. Its starqte that needs to dump Tim Webley's ass or go see Dr. Phil.

If anyone of you liked Robert Fripp's soundscape stuff, download one of his mp3's on this webpage. Its really nice and dreamy.

baduh, all that bombing and fighting sucks. Stay safe. I am doing well, thanks. Much better than last week :)

Clarky, we can't have tobaco hanging out all over the place, now can we? ROTF! I think you need a catagory between a putting green and a Bin-Laden beard. Something like nicely trimed trim. That's where I'd put my vote. Shaved beaver - ugh! lol! That's just foul. It's like saying "look at me, I'm 3 years old" As for the landing strip, or ! as you put it, unless you're a swimsuit model, it makes no sense. The putting green is more reasonable, yet uncomfortable if to short, and a full tabacco patch reminds me of the comedian Carrot Top wearing a bike helmet. Hope that helps your scientific research. lol!

crushingday, sorry to hear about your T2J cd, but at least you didn't get...THE BADGER SONG! lol!

Man, it's COLD out this morning. It was 37 degrees at 7 a.m. I'm enjoying the cooler weather in the 60's during the day. I love spring and fall.

RIP Rodney Dangerfield
