Michelle: The Ford Dealer called me a few days ago for a service rating.Ha!...I took advantage of this free for all...I told them I'll never go back & will tell all my friends not to go to them.I continued to tell them how badly they fucked me in the ass!.....Revenge is sweet I'll tell ya!..

Clarky:Now that we are into cheap amps...Have you ever tried a Gorilla?...they are 10 watt practice amps sold with a cheap guitar....usually as a set at Scam Cash(Sam Ash).

I used to have a Peavey "BackStage" which was my first amp back in 1981...I put that poor little thing thru the ringer...It hung in there for about 10 years.Hacked up like the Bionic man for most of it's life.It had a terrible distortion sound but a good clean tone......

.I can't remember who brought up radio Shack speakers but I've been there & done that!...Radio Shack speakers didn't last as long as my strings did...however this was 20 years ago. That was a blast from the past.

That reminds me of the time my drummer's bass pedal broke during a gig...I just so happened to have a few super sized rat traps laying around. So we folded them backwords & duck taped the ends so it wouldn't fly apart....lol...We all felt like a bunch of McGyvers but it worked for 2 songs...Forever known as the Rat Trap Gig.....we still laugh to this day...Do you have any funny gig stories?

TASTEY - Welcome back, but the Red Sox suck. ;-)

jazzzzzzzy - "The problem with Katherine Harris is that a majority of the voters were not even proven guilty."

Okay, you're talking about that side of things. People were incorrectly listed as felons...okay. This happened several months before November 2000. There should have been plenty of time for individual voters to fix their records. Yes, a mistake was made somewhere. Yes, it was unfortunate.

However, I don't see how someone can make the argument that the Bush family and Katherine Harris planned this whole thing out months in advance. (I'm guessing you think she's the reason Bush won...if not, I don't see why you brought her up here...)

How did she and the Bush brothers know which states would be won by Bush and which would be won by Gore? How did they know ahead of time that it would all come down to Florida? How did they know that Gore would have lost his home state?

If Gore would've won Tennessee, his home state, the whole Florida thing would not have been an issue.

"Bush did not win the majority in the electoral vote."

Bush did not win the popular vote (I'm guessing that's what you meant), but that shouldn't matter because the popular vote has never been used to determine the president.

Whether or not the popular vote should determine the president is a separate issue entirely.

Austin, no spiders. They was skerred!

Suzie, I dislocated my knee too! lol! I was about 21 maybe, and I think the ligaments have never healed properly or they stretched out or something. When I reached down to feel my knee, my knee cap was kind of up in my thigh *everyone cringe*. I thought my husband was going to pass out. lol! The ambulance guys put me in a canvas stretcher with wooden poles on either side. We lived on the 3rd floor of an apartment bldg, so they couldn't bring up a full size one. Anyways, on the way down the stairs, the guy hit the wood pole against a doorway. The pole was against my knee, and when it hit the doorway, it popped my knee back in. They took x-rays and told me I was fine and sent me home on crutches. Every once in a while, it feels like the tendons go the wrong way and my knee locks straight. I have to kinda straighten it more till whatever is out of place goes back in and I can bend my leg again. It grosses me out so bad! lol! That's what happened when I stretched the other night. "ouch!" lol!

Mari, don't forget the backplate! lol! I'll see you tomorrow. I'm in row 17 center. Have fun!

Jblaze, hopefully they'll take your complaint into consideration and give you some free stuff.

SEE YOU TOMORROW JOE :)

Just saw Fahrenheit 9/1. It's a excellent film. is astounding. Not so much as a film - although it is cunning and moving - but as an event. A event of going against the corprate greed of the Republicans and exposing their flaws. There is something else that is astounding. The aim of Fahrenheit 9/11 is to stop Bush fixing the next election as he fixed the last. Its focus is on the totally unjustified war in Iraq. Yet its conclusion is larger than either of these issues. It declares that a political economy that creates colossally increasing wealth surrounded by disastrously increasing poverty, needs - to survive - a continual war with some invented foreign enemy to maintain its own internal order and security. It requires ceaseless war. Some people say It's a bunch of words, and a lot of them aren't true. The people who say that are lying. But you can go into the movie still believing this. Just go and watch the footage of George Bush and the soldiers, and the families of the soldiers. You may have seen, in the movie trailer, the scene in which Bush talks about fighting terrorism in one breath, and then goes back to playing golf. But no media have shown the footage of the president sitting, after he's been told the second jet has hit the world trade tower, like a mindless moron, scared, confused, inactive.. ineffective, incompetent, doing absolutely nothing. Seven minutes!! Every American should watch just that footage before deciding whether they want to trust the dumbest president in the history of the US with the lives of our soldiers. Is it patriotic to support a fool who irresponsibly, fraudulently sends our trusting, brave troops to their death? Is it patriotic to choose such a man because his religious believes are close to yours, or because he gives you a tax break. No!. It's selfish treachery. But maybe people want to keep feeling like they are doing the right thing. There are plenty of wives of child molesting fathers who don't want to or can't handle the truth. There are millions of Americans whose trust has been violated by George Bush. Many of them would rather not have their bubbles burst. But some will want to know the truth.

JOE---> I have a HUGE request for you! You see, I've been inspired by your playing ever since my dad showed me your first G3 DVD when I was little. Ever since, I've gladly purchased every one of your CDs, and attended every show you've done in Portland, OR. My first request is to please come back to Portland, but also to play at the Crystal Ballroom! It's got the best atmosphere, (but more importantly,) best acoustics than anywhere I've seen you play in Portland. (I had an AWESOME experience seeing you live for the first time there!!!.) If you can't come to the Crystal, please, anywhere but the Roseland shithole! lol... My second huge request is for you to play Motorcycle Driver; I've never seen you play that live, ever, and would be extremely honored if you would, for it's one of my all time favorites of yours! Thankyou Joe, for keepin' it real. -Jesse

Clarky - Thanks for the tips. I've always thought that the valve > solid state argument was a bit of an anal rant started by the purists; different strokes for different folks, and all that. But there are definitely differences in the performance of each type of amp. For example, valves play an active part in generating tone - particularly at high volumes. Which could mean that at different venues my tone will be slightly different due to the volume of my amp. I'm probably gonna go solid state for now; apart from anything, they're a hell of a lot cheaper than valve amps... lol

OCPS - Okay, thanks. How much did it cost, and where might I be able to find out more about one of those?

Jared, welcome back dude! Haven't seen you for a few weeks! If you don't win a pass, best chance of catching joe is between his bus and the stage door. Getting to the venue 3 or 4 hours early could help, or just waiting for ages after the show!

Do the stu: Sadly, it was not a mistake. Not a small mistake. A huge mistake enough to make a difference in a key swing state. Bush had a margin of around 500 something, which was certified by Harris. Florida denied its nearly half a million former convicts the right to vote. However, what was totally missed was the fact that Florida's own courts had repeatedly told the governer he may not take away the civil rights of Florida citizens who may have committed crimes in other states, served their time and had their rights restored by those states. The number of people in florida with felony convictions in their past was clearly over 50,000 and likely over 100,000 (source: Northwestern University - where I am doing research at the moment). If you didnt know, 4 million dollars (help of Choicepoint DBT) was spent on tracking and eliminating these ex felons. Why would they do it if it was not expected to change the popular vote?

White and Hispanic felons, mostly poor, vote almost as solidly democratic as African-Americans. For Example UMN sources reported that 93% of felons of all races supported Bill Clinton in 1996. You know, Austin, there are regular surverys and poll that take place before elections. Voter confidence is calculated. Fortunately, Bush was not leading. So naturally, you know what some people have in mind. And yes, I am hinting to Katherine Harris and Jeb Bush.

What they did was not only unconstitutional, but also racist and disrespectful. I dont see how any rational human being can show support towards such people. Fine, some people do have "conservative" values, but sadly, they look up to the wrong leader.

Do the stu: There is only one color of so called "conservative values" in America - White. Conservative Christian Family values. (sigh)

As for Bowling for Columbine, I dont find anything wrong with it. Blame Music for violence? Troubled High School students? Charleton Heston blaming crimes on ethnicity? Families going out to work at Lockheed Martin?...

If you believe that Bush needs to provide freedom to the rest of the world, write him a letter and tell him to free Burma and Tibet. To find a reason to boycott France and not Saudi Arabia (when Saudi is a no brainer).

And if a person is able bodied and supports Bush's war policy (the one with a retarted exit strategy), why the hell not join the armed forces? Hypocrisy in its finest moment.

Hey joe. Im from Australia im 17 years old and i just love your music so much. I have all your releases, apart from "additional creations" which is impossible to find anywhere. The main point of this message is to confirm rumours that you were coming to Australia. Are these true? And if not can you please make them true, because ive been waiting about 8 years for you to come out. Just watching "live in Sanfransico" over and over, makes me think how good the real experience must be. So in summary, please come to Australia.
