bahduh - Do you have a credit card? I was looking at CD Universe's international shipping page...the prices are a little high, but they aren't outrageous.
For $12 extra for the first disc and $3 extra for each additional disc, you can have something shipped from the US to India in 4-6 days (plus a few days for the Indian postal system to ship it to you). It would be expensive if you only ordered one thing, but if you ordered several CDs then the shipping cost per item would be lower (even though the overall price would be higher). How much do CDs usually cost in India? What's the name of your currency (so I can compare it to the US dollar)?
I have not heard DT's Eve. I did a quick Google search, and it looks like the song is a non-album track that is only on a single that I don't have. What is the song like?
The songs on Live At Budokan aren't really different from the way they appear on the original albums, but I do think they sound better. If you go here and click on the orange musical notes on the left side of the track listing, you can listen to sound clips.
jelly man - Live In Japan / Once In A Livetime isn't yet out in the UK? Man...that DVD is awesome as well. ;-) I love the commentary track on the first disc.
I probably won't get to listen to Rhythm Of Time until early next week. I'll make a post here whenever I finish listening to it.
opticalstudio - "Pitch axis" is also called "parallel modulation".
...Austin...

I am a new member and was searching around on the site for the answer to my question but I could not find it. So I will ask it. Are there any plans for Mr. Satriani to make a DVD with Deep Purple? I would love to see one and I am sure many other fans would as well. Thanx Joe for all the great music. You inspire me and many others like me to be the best that we can be.

Clarky - I love this one: "'bout ye?" Which means how are you, apparently. And it's often answered with "Stickin' out", which means fine, apparently. lol

Magazine Names 100 Worst Riffs, Solos
Oct 8, 11:11 AM EST
The Associated Press
Is Poison that bad? Listen & download
He may be known for his over-the-top antics but Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille has another claim to fame: his "Guitar Solo" has been named the worst of all time by Guitar World magazine.
The magazine selected the "100 Worst Riffs, Licks & Solos of All Time," identifying ones that are "lazy," "boring," "just plain stoopid," or "involve C.C. Deville."
The list includes songs by David Bowie, Def Leppard, Metallica, Green Day, B.B. King, The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith and The Strokes, among others.
Many are guitar legends who simply had a bad night or bum note.
Guitar World describes DeVille's nine-minute solo "completely devoid of taste, structure or steady tempo" and recommends every budding guitarist listen to it because "surely, they can't do any worse."
DeVille was also cited for his "Cherry Pie" solo when he played with Warrant and Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."
The magazine recommends DeVille "take solace in the fact that he's in some rather good company."
Rounding out the top 10: "Summertime Blues," Blue Cheer; "The Game of Love," Carlos Santana; Falstaff beer 1967 radio spot, Cream; "All You Need is Love," The Beatles; "Thirsty and Miserable," Black Flag; "Wango Tango," Ted Nugent; "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," Rolling Stones; "Sting of the Bumblebee," Manowar; and "American Woman," Lenny Kravitz.
The list appears in the magazine's December issue.

I`d like to thank you JOE SATRIANI for being my virtual teacher. I`ve been playing for 10 years and I always followed your work and played all your songs. I`d like to congratulate you for being the only "virtuoso" guitarist that didnt stick with the same sound and techniques from the eighties guitar works. You had the courage to combine your skill with nice effects and such a creative song writing. I`m sure you will do much more to astonish us all.
you are the wah and floyd rose master, and please use and abuse of your digitech whamy pedal.
Bye.

Tis' the season for re-stringing fa la la la la, la la la la...
Yeah my telecaster needs some new strings, I'm thinking of changing from 10's (or so I suspect as I was told they are the standard that most guitars are sold with...) to 11's...do I need to adjust intonation to accomodate new gauges?

Zinc Master: Yeah I know "Times is Ruff" and all that. I was just kidding. I bought the gold package though, hopefuly I will get invited to the meet and greet or Maybe I will win those backstage passes( I never did in previous years). "Suerte" is usually not on my side. I'm planning on taking my (hopefully not for long) ex- girlfreind to the Saturday show. Come to think of it though, I havent even asked her yet. Im just going to spring it on her on Sweetish(or however the hell you spell it) Day. She likes his music.
So, after a nice "evening" and after the enjoyment of Down, Down, Down,(fingers crossed) I might have the oportunity to "go down," and win back "The Crush of [her] Love." Ha HA Im so stupid.
Come on back passes
Go go gadget backpasses
Open sessapasses
sufferin' suckapass
Maybe one of these will work...

Delfino Pie: you might have to get a neck setup because a higher guage of strings creates greater tension on the neck. Im no- no it all or nothin but I have experienced this. or you could just say I dont give a fu#@ and restring it with your elevens. Elevens are cool, nice sound. Full. Not WIMPY like nine's.
