Well its been a while since my last post. Whats new with me? Well last Thursday I broke my hand so now I have a big cast on and I suck at guitar with it. How I broke it you might ask? Well I dont know how many of you know Texas Hold'em. But yeah I broke it playing poker. I was at the final table and I had a good amount of chips, I got dealt Pocket ACES!! I raised before the flop and like 5 people called. The flop came 3 7 10. My friend went all -in everyone else folded and I called. He had King 10, a pair a 10's so I was way ahead. The turn came like a jack and the river came a KING TO GIVE HIM TWO PAIRRRRR. So I got up threw my hat at the wall, picked it up and then punched the floor really hard. When I hit the floor it didnt hurt at all b/c the adrenalin was pumping. About 15 minutes later it was really swollen and it was hurtin' pretty bad, a girl who was there told me not to worry about it that it would be fine tomorrow, but it wasnt. I didnt end up telling my parents about it until about 2 days later. I got x-rays and it was broken, one of those boxers breaks, the same thing Kevin Brown had a couple of months ago after punching a wall. This without a doubt is THE stupidist thing that I have ever done in my life. I cant play guitar too well anymore b/c the cast gets in the way. Im so use to playing for like 5 hours a day after school, now Im barely playing any (im still playing though, just not shredding, im playing Pink Floyd, and this slow Steve Vai song Brando Customs). I got the cast on Monday and i'll probally get it off in like 3 or 4 weeks. I am Retarded!! I broke my right hand, my picking hand.

BTW: Does anyone here have an account on Poker Stars, mine is Steve Vai, let me know yours we'll have to play.

I just took my PSAT's today, what a good time that was.

GO YANKEES!! I hate the Red Sox more than I hate Kenny G.

civgeek I have had homework, but not as bad lately. my classes are hard though. I hate them. whenever I get homework, I get it all at once too. its annoying. last week I had barely andy homework, then every teacher gave us a bunch in every class on thursday night. it sucked. oh well, thats life I guess.

Wow, lots of newbies! Welcome everyone :)

LucySorets, I was very pleasantly surprised to see Joe come out on stage without his hat. I LOVE seeing his bald head. His glasses matched his guitar, and his black T & jeans made him look badass. lol! He was so energetic and he looked like he was having a blast. I think he gets younger with every tour. lol!

Suzie, the knee thing comes and goes. Most of the time it's o.k., but every once in a while it reminds me to slow down (although I think if I go any slower I'll be going backwards!) lol! The show was absolutely fantastic. The best part was seeing Joe at the bus. I got a hello hug, and a goodbye hug, and I gave him the license plate from my 15 year old Honda we sold in August. Now Joe will have a Pennsylvania plate to hang in his San Francisco studio or garage. In case everyone is wondering what was on the plate, it read: SATCHR8. :) Now I have to think up a new plate for my new car. I have some ideas, but it would be fun to see some suggestions for Satch oriented plates. It can be 7 letters or numbers, and one space or hyphen, but not both.

Zinc, funny stuff!

njbeast, Shove The Sun Aside is a GREAT cd!! It always puts me in a good mood and makes me smile.

Alexandre, stay warm hon! It's getting cooler here too. I enjoy the spring and fall weather. The trees are changing colors and the mountains are beautiful.

Steven, I have to chuckle at your post because MY back went out last week too! lmao! Thank God it only lasted one night! I walked across the room and went to reach for something on my husbands desk, and "ow! ow! ow! My back! shit! shit!" and it went on like that for a good 2 minutes or so. I couldn't move! My husband was sitting right there, so he helped me sit on his lap and rubbed my back to try to loosen the spasm. I was laughing and crying together. I couldn't stand up or lay down. Every time I put weight on my feet it hurt. My husband eventually stood me up, then helped me down to the floor where I layed laughing and swearing some more. lol! I eventually crawled to the sofa where I spent the next few hours trying to get it to loosen up, which it eventually did. I was falling apart with aches and pains for about 2 weeks, but I seem to be o.k. at the moment. lol! *knock on wood*

IbanezGuitarist, sorry about your hand. Rest it and give it time to heal properly. You'll be playing again in no time.

optical studio: Nice to know you belong to the elite class of GT6 users. That thing is a tank! Its so sturdy that I used to think of practicing ballet on it. Anyways, have you made up any of your own patches? The one I used the most is on patch 77. Its called Ultra Clean, but i made it Ultra Dirty. I put the distortion on MT-2, full gain...EQ turned up almost all the way, some reverb, Delay to suit needs, some chorus, Compressor on, Preamp set on Fender twin and set to original speakers. Bass around 80, treble around 70 and middle around 75. You can ultra sharp distortion often used in death Metal. When you switch off the EQ, you can get a tone similar to Vai. I also have one that sounds exactly like the tone from Whitewash (buckethead). If you have a good Satriani tone, please me know. On patch ten however, there is a tone called Cryin, which sounds exactly like the tone from Joe's Cryin. I hope Joe reads this and confirms whether it is true or my hearing simply sucks! Cheers!

My name is Elizabeth and my "good-friend," TIM WEBLEY, is a huge fan! You may remember signing his Steve Vai custom at the Tower Records here in Hoffman Estates... ...I even found him an autographed pic of you for him for christmas... ...I have bought tickets for us to see you OCT 22, at the House of Blues in Chicago...

Our relationship is a little undetermined at this time, and I was hoping if you could say a word or two about how "Once you find love, you shouldn't let it go " or something to that effect with his name -- it would show him how much I care and what I'm willing to go through for him -- which is needless to say, BEGGING you for a little help.

I'm sorry this message will be written everyday 'til the 22, since I'm not sure when or if you will even see this. Sorry for the annoyance.

Hey all, I have just got back to the UK after a week in Florida. Wow !! I got to see Joe 3 times, Orlando , Clearwater and Jacksonville. I had such a great time, the shows were amazing, the set list was great , a mix of everything. I really enjoyed hearing Motorcycle Driver, Psycho Monkey, Strange. Sleepwalk is amazing live, great tone, very smooth. Everyone was so friendly, made me feel very welcome, Thanks !

I had the Platinum Ticket for Clearwater . Worth every cent. I got to stand on stage infront of Joe's pedals. It was so cool to look out and see what Joe would be seing later, i got to check out Joe's guitars , his amps, speak with Zen Master !!!! John Iverson who looked after us on the tour and meet and greet was the nicest guy, so helpful , he even got me a set list . If anyone is unsure about the Platinum tickets , just go for it. The experience is unique and intimate. Meeting with Joe was very informal , he took time to sign anything and everything. Some only took a minute or two , others had tons of questions, no one was rushed , Joe was happy to answer it all

So thanks to all who made me feel at home in your country on my mini Joe Satriani Tour, I can't wait to do it all again !!!

I just got back from the Staffordshire Uni open day...and ooooooooo is it nice there. The accomodation is quite cheap, but the rooms are like prison cells...oh well its only sleeping and night-time "activities" that will be going on in there anyway.
Two bars on campus, plus loads of clubs and stuff like that. Over 2000 top of the range computers and a great recording studio.
Anywayz, atleast it isn't a giant council estate :-)
