Hey all---
I want to throw this out there, and see the response. I have attended 3 Satch shows, including a G3 show, in 2000, 2002, and 2003. In the past 2 shows, the volume was REALLY loud (espiecially at the G3 show). In fact, it was TOO loud! Both times my friend complained about it to me, and most people around me had earplugs in their ears. It was so loud that I couldn't hear the intricacies or subtleties of the guitar, which is what I came for! All I could hear was the bass guitar. Although the shows were still REALLY enjoyable, I hope the upcoming show at the beacon that i am going to will not overwhelm me!
what do you guys think about this ??

do the stu: The problem with Katherine Harris is that a majority of the voters were not even proven guilty. I dont know if it is a law to barre someone from voting before they are proven guilty (cuthbert?). Some of the "guilty" were apparently prosecuted in the future. For example the data had some prosecution dates dating to 2007. 2007? Not possible. More than half of the voters were Black. More than 90% were democrats. There were more than 35,000 names. Bush did not win the majority in the electoral vote. Isnt it convenient when your brother is the governer of Florida at the very moment? I personally believe Bush should have never stepped into the Oval Office.
I got my sources from Greg Palast's The Best Democracy Money can Buy. I believe a CBS report was aired about this.
"What an impressive crowd: the haves, and the have-mores. Some people call you the elite, I call you my base."
-George W.
Edit: Katherine Harris is kinda hot actually. I wouldnt mind seeing her in Playboy's Conservative Beauties edition. I hope they add some blonde fruitcakes from Fox News too.
achoo: I hope Satch impresses your woman enough that she hooks up with you again. Well, a gold pass aint cheap! The best date could not be better than taking a girl out to a Satriani concert.

yunger 2 : I agree with you about the volume being a little "loud" at times. Actualy It's not the volume that is so loud. It's the theaters crappy P.A that make the whole event sound like shit. Every different theater has thier own set of speakers that project whats comming out of the amps and mics to the rest of the the concert goers. I.e. people in the cheap seats.

achoo: I am sure Joe will be polite enough if he spots you. He's a very sweet person. Heck, If by Gods grace I win backstage passes, I will hand one to you. I had won passes to the show in Minneapolis. I handed it to the first dude I saw in sight. He was with his girlfriend. During the show, I think the guy got hammered and his girlfriend got the pass while this dude disappeared (probably went to get more beer....it was a Deep Purple show; there were more mullets than anyone could ever handle). Everyone was cool so it was a fun time.

Mater Yoda: If you're looking for a good power amp (solid state) Carvin makes really nice, and very quiet power amps. I have an HT150 (makes 75 watts per side at 8 ohms, or 150 watts bridged) and it's totally quiet, even cranked all the way up. It has a nice bass and high trebble boost that worked well when i was using it to power my podpro.

Michelle- yep, after horrible dreams you wake up feeling more knackered than you did before you went to sleep.
Sorry to hear about your knee by the way, is it an ongoing problem? I dislocated my kneecap when I was about 13 and so know something about knee-pain!
Have a great time seeing Joe tomorrow!
Strangled my bagpuss teddy this morning which helped a bit by the way! lol :-)

Anyone with an Xbox get Fable...I've had it since Saturday morning and I can already say its one of my favourite games of all time. So much to do, even though its a free-roam RPG with an essence of GTA so you have missions to do to advance the story but it ain't necessary to have fun...but unlike other free-roam RPG games you're never left wondering what to do next.
....pointless rant over...BUY IT NOW

Guys and girls, Satch fans, I just gave myself my most beautiful Xmas gift ever! Bought the Platinum package for the upcoming New York show on the 16th! I cannot wait to see Joe live again! Last time was with the G3.
I have a question for either the webmaster or the other fans out there who did already enjoy the Platinum experience!
Can I bring my guitar for Joe to sign? I know, I know, I know, you probably got that question a gazillion time, but I just want to be sure before I show up with it just to find out that I cannot go in! Pleease send me a reply before Satuday!!
Thank you!

Michelle: The Ford Dealer called me a few days ago for a service rating.Ha!...I took advantage of this free for all...I told them I'll never go back & will tell all my friends not to go to them.I continued to tell them how badly they fucked me in the ass!.....Revenge is sweet I'll tell ya!..
Clarky:Now that we are into cheap amps...Have you ever tried a Gorilla?...they are 10 watt practice amps sold with a cheap guitar....usually as a set at Scam Cash(Sam Ash).
I used to have a Peavey "BackStage" which was my first amp back in 1981...I put that poor little thing thru the ringer...It hung in there for about 10 years.Hacked up like the Bionic man for most of it's life.It had a terrible distortion sound but a good clean tone......
.I can't remember who brought up radio Shack speakers but I've been there & done that!...Radio Shack speakers didn't last as long as my strings did...however this was 20 years ago. That was a blast from the past.
That reminds me of the time my drummer's bass pedal broke during a gig...I just so happened to have a few super sized rat traps laying around. So we folded them backwords & duck taped the ends so it wouldn't fly apart....lol...We all felt like a bunch of McGyvers but it worked for 2 songs...Forever known as the Rat Trap Gig.....we still laugh to this day...Do you have any funny gig stories?

TASTEY - Welcome back, but the Red Sox suck. ;-)
jazzzzzzzy - "The problem with Katherine Harris is that a majority of the voters were not even proven guilty."
Okay, you're talking about that side of things. People were incorrectly listed as felons...okay. This happened several months before November 2000. There should have been plenty of time for individual voters to fix their records. Yes, a mistake was made somewhere. Yes, it was unfortunate.
However, I don't see how someone can make the argument that the Bush family and Katherine Harris planned this whole thing out months in advance. (I'm guessing you think she's the reason Bush won...if not, I don't see why you brought her up here...)
How did she and the Bush brothers know which states would be won by Bush and which would be won by Gore? How did they know ahead of time that it would all come down to Florida? How did they know that Gore would have lost his home state?
If Gore would've won Tennessee, his home state, the whole Florida thing would not have been an issue.
"Bush did not win the majority in the electoral vote."
Bush did not win the popular vote (I'm guessing that's what you meant), but that shouldn't matter because the popular vote has never been used to determine the president.
Whether or not the popular vote should determine the president is a separate issue entirely.
...Austin...
