Thanks for theset list - it was Motorcycle Driver that I was looking for (I knew he played SleepWalk too :)
I'm actually glad he played alot of his less popular stuff - definately gave me a better appreciation for them thats for sure.
I believe I can now sleep - heh

In the beginning of flying in a blue dream, the only thing I can pull out is " sometimes they love each other, and sometimes they dont".. Can someone fill me in on the rest of it? thanks.

哦,终于找到可以回贴子的地方了,不知道我回的贴子,可不可以显示出来,因为我打的是中国汉字,没准会成为乱码的,但I likeJoe music.
我的英文很差的,以前有个朋友介绍给我Joe的音乐,下载了几首,我很喜欢的,但不知道为什么过了一段时间后都不能听了,很遗憾!!
我最喜欢Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness 和Surfing With The Alien!!~~
感觉太好了……
在这里我找了半天没有找到可以下载的地方,不知道有没有人可以帮助我……

Delfino: I would reccommend trying out teaching on a friend. That way if you're not good at it, or if it makes you nuts haha, you haven't wasted anyone's money. Also, this will give you a period of experimentation to figure out in what order you want to teach things. This is kind of how I approached it 7 years ago when I started. If you need any idea's about what to start with, I'll be glad to help you

Oh yeah, just bought my tickets to the 23rd show. One last thing I have to worry about. Also bought some X10 binoculars for $60, way too expensive.
All right, for real now, PEACE

Shit, I cant sleep. Maybe I should try turning the compuer off!
yeah, that would probably work. One knows it's time to go to sleep when he types to himself. But first, Im'ma play wit' these binoculars. Yup, gonna see what the neighbors are doin'.
Hey, hold up, dont look at me like that , thats fair, I hear feet scapmperin' away when I walk too the window in the middle of the night too. And boy let me tell you it ain't the rats. Although, in the ghetto they are big enough to sound like a size 10 and a 1/2, but somethin' tells me that just ain't the ratones. Besides, I just wanna see how much power these bullshits have.
Jblaze: thank you!
Alright then, yall, or me, or whoever(turning off computer to the Spyhunter/James bond theme in my head)...

I just got home from the Baltimore show. You and the boys kicked ass! Can't wait for you to come back to Bal'mer and do it again! Thanks for coming out after the show and signing autographs. I was very disappointed that only 5 people stayed after. We only had to wait about an hour. But what can you do. Joe thanks again for the 3 hours of Fantastic Music. One of the best concerts I've ever seen!

Here's a sort of "Greatest Hits" collection I put together to introduce a female friend to Joe's music before we go to the Beacon show - I'm sure the fact that this was for a woman influenced my selections... :) Stuff like "Raspberry Jam Delta-V" or "Mind Storm" didn't make the cut even tho they're awesome songs, simply because I was going for a different feel. My friend's reaction was quite positive - but then again she's a decent guitarist herself and I knew she'd be impressed. How could she not be? :) You rock, Joe!

OCPS470 Cheers, I got a friend who picked up the guitar recently, he's a lefty but plays a right-handed guitar lol...Doesn't seem to bother him though :-)
Whats a professional way of saying, like..."So...what can you do? and what do you want to learn, anything specific?" kinda thing? lol

WOW I just bouught the "Strange, Beautiful" SACD and I must say it is awesome to listen to that disc in multichannel!! I have a fairly modest system but that disc makes it sound like I've got a $30,000 system...Joe, you should see about getting "Alien" and maybe some others re-released on SACD....
...and the rest of you Satch fans should get this disc and a SACD player to play it on!

Mari: Thanks for posting the set list. He played Motorcycle driver! Thats one of favorites. Crystal Planet, Extremist, EOC and Flying in a bad dream (hehe) are my favorite albums. SBM is priceless too.
I cannot wait to see Joe again! 3 times! This will be the Holy trinity of concerts!

Larreye, you could start out wiht a Boss DS-1. That should help with the smooth overdrive tone. Joe has used a DS-1 or a pair of DS-1s a lot in the past.
I find that using a neck pickup with the tone full on gives it that aquious tone, while using the bridge pickup turns the overdrive into crunch for things like Time and A Train Of Angels.
Also, to get a proper Joe tone you could get a set of his pickups......DiMarzio PAF Pro for the neck position and DiMarzio Fred for the bridge.
Hope that helps!

962: Pretty much every boss pedal is in the GT-6. I highly recommend that because the individual Boss pedals cost so much these days. The boss gt6 is built like a tank too. Its gonna last you a lifetime. Some artists are giving up their racks for the gt6 (like marty friedman and Jon donais). Just a recommendation!

Jazzy, DCK re Kalan Porter, I am afraid you cannot count on me, see my 12 year old daughter is infatuated with Kalan. I cannot have blood on my hands...
I will help foot the bill for a hit man though!!!LOL
Seriously Jazzy, Kalan is an accomplished musician/violinist that entered that competition on a lark and look what they have done to him!!!!

962- Will get the DVD soon! I do have the CD though.
Michelle- hope the knee has eased up somewhat; the show sounded amazing!
Clarky- thanks for the explanation, I do know what you mean about throwing guitars around- to me I suppose it's more (like 962 said) about seeing the guitar meet its doom that is upsetting. But like you say, he's just putting on a show and doesn't care what people think anyway! The album title "Concerto Suite," as you explained, is a bit nonsensical, but I loved the album nonetheless.

On a different topic... has anyone out there tried out either the Gibson or Epiphone Ace Frehley Les Paul? Obviously the price between the two varies by a lot! But although the Epiphone can be bought for under 500 quid it still has 3 diMarzio humbuckers. Can't be bad, I thought?
I love (early) KISS music and was always a bit of an Ace fan.
