Anyone know anything further on some possible Oz dates ? I'm missing Joe in San Diego on Dec 28th coz I'm going home to Oz for Xmas. It would REALLY suck if I missed him in Oz too

stu's old live effects:
digitech bass whammy (as an octave box), boss chorus, boss digital delay, and sansamp distortion. that's generally about it, if anything at all.

he's more recently been using the peavey BAM series bass amps that have integrated effects.

O.K...Call me an old timer but I have been listening to Joe since the 80's.I must say that I really don't see what all the excitement is about the new JSX amp.I saw Joe live at Jones Beach, NY in August & I saw him before the "Big change"...I didn't like the new sound at all.Even on the Album,it sounded very muddy in the lows but did however, get some good highs.Nontheless I prefer Joe's old Marshall tone way better...Call me crazy, call me an Asshole but I am sure I am not the only Asshole that feels this way.Maybe Joe is tired of the old sound & wants something new but in my opinion - he is trying to re-invent the wheel.....I have listened to ITLIS over & over again & quite frankly,I just can't warm up to the JSX amp at all.....

There!..I finally said my peace:)

Jblaze1, i have to agree with you about the jsx amp. the main thing joe loves about this amp and the thing he uses the most is the clean channel. the majority of joe's sound comes from his pedals and his playing technique. lets face it you could give him any decent guitar and amp setup and he could make it sound great because of his talent alone. If you are using pedals to create your sound just about any good tube amp would sound great. i prefered the matshall sound better too. by the way i own a 30th anniversary marshall combo with no pedals and the sound is fantastic. If i had my chioce between a jsx and a 30th abnniversary i would take the marshall

You know that saying:"There are old pilots & there are bold pilots,But there are no Old Bold pilots"...I wonder if that applies to guitarist too?...lol...If there are,Joe is one of them!..lol...

BTW...anyone who agrees with me doesn't make them an @$$#oLe:)

Jelly man:This may be a stupid question but I know what he uses on the LISF but does he use a Marshall on the L.I.D.....Maybe I should score a LID to find out..get it?..lol..

Hello to all.

Isn't it sad that all we have to vote for is Bush or Kerry. I mean is this the best that our country can come up with to have as our leader?

In this day and age when we have the best technology and best minds in the world all we get is 2 guys mudslinging and doing their best to avoid answering any of the questions that are asked them.

IT'S PRETTY SAD.

Seriously...If I dare! I've got tics for this Saturday's show, and I'd like to know if any of you have been chosen to attend the aftershow pass! How are you notified, and how soon prior to the show were you notified of your lucky meeting with Joe? Feedback appreciated. Stevee T.

DEBROB, Bob & Deb or RobbyBob? I got an email from the webmaster saying "thanks for the forward, i will pass this along to the contact i have at fanfire to help them out." I really hope this helps and things get sorted before Thursday.

Jblaze, I figured I'd better take that as my one free shot. LOL!

A little while ago I was sitting down reading a book, when I heard this glorious sound coming from the basement. dum dum, dum dum, dum dum, dum dum. Immediately I knew what it was. My son was playing Crazy Train on his bass. He had some crazy effect on it from his new Digitech thingy he got for his birthday, and he was killin' it! lol! He loves his new toy and he's playing more now than ever - loudly I might add. lol! Mama says you go boy!

Stevee T, I think you're notified 3 or 4 days before the show by email if you won, and you can keep a check on the road page. Click on the "a" next to the show you're attending and it will say at the top of the page who the winners are. You pick your passes up at the will call window. Make sure you take proper I.D.

Hey Joe,

I went to "An Evening with Joe Satriani" @ the House of Blues in Orlando. The show was simply amazing. You commented in the middle of the show that some of the sets were pretty weird, and even though they were (hehe), the songs were truly a sonic adventure in guitar virtuosity and creativity.

I'm up @ my girlfriend's house in Southern Georgia & we're trying to see if we can make the Jax show tommorrow evening. We've seen you @ G3, but she's never had the opportunity to truly appreciate your songs & showmanship as the "Headliner".

Thanks again for putting on one hell of a show & we'll be looking forward to seeing you again @ the HOB in Orlando.

CAN'T WAIT! Okay, so my first Satch live show is at the Palace in Columbus OH the 27th. I've been waiting for several years for any of the tours to pass within a few hours of Cincinnati. Finally scored one. This is truly the only concert I feel worth it this year. Even by passed on VH and Metallica.

Joe keep up the great job of keeping us entertained. Few guitarists these days actually look like they are having fun like you do. See you the 27th!

Just got home from Joe's Clearwater show! WOW! The best show I've seen him do! lots of old, lots of new, lots of stuff I've never heard him do live! Amazing! Kinda missed Stu, but the band was awesome! Lots of classic entrenched riffs throughout, very fresh coming from him! The most enjoyable show for me out of the 4 times I've seen him play! Hope all of you have an opportunity to get out and see this tour! 3 hours of great rock! Thanks Joe and crew!
